database space monitoring

Hello

How we monitor daily space in a database. Suppose that if we want to monitor the space of 25 databases, how we do that, other than the use of Oracle Grid?

Database: 10.2.0.4
Operating system: solaris 10

This script will give you any information.

Select
a.tablespace_name
free_mb trunc (decode(a.autoextensible,'YES',a.maxsize-a.bytes+b.free,'NO',b.free)/1024/1024)
(, trunc(a.bytes/1024/1024) size_mb
trunc (a.maxsize/1024/1024) maxsize_mb
a.autoextensible ae
trunc (decode (a.autoextensible, 'YES',(a.maxsize-a.bytes+b.free) a.maxsize*100,'NO',b.free/a.maxsize*100)) free_pct
Of
(select nom_tablespace, CanGrow
sum (bytes) bytes
sum (decode(autoextensible,'YES',maxbytes,bytes)) maxsize
from dba_data_files
Group by tablespace_name, CanGrow) a.
(select nom_tablespace, sum (bytes) free)
from dba_free_space
Group by tablespace_name b)
where a.tablespace_name = b.tablespace_name (+)
- and a.autoextensible = 'YES '.
order of the CSA 2

Let me know if you need any information.

  • Datastore on ESXi 4.1 disk space monitoring

    Hi all

I use HP SiteScope to monitor our data warehouses.  I use a simple script monitor to bounce back against our servers ESX 4.0 who runs the command of vdf to return the size used, available and percentage used.  When I call the script I pass data with her store name.  This is the content of the script.

    sudo/usr/sbin/vdf /vmfs/volumes/$1

    This returns the following:

1 k-blocks used available use % mounted on file system

    / vmfs/volumes/4c14635a-8d723b1c-031c-0844324ssa05f3

    419168256 117296128 301872128/vmfs/volumes/MY_DATASTORE 27%

Then, I am able to use these measures to make reports and alerts if a certain data store is full.  This is a Lab Manager environment development so sometimes people accidentally create too many virtual machines and their warehouses of data to run out of disk space.  Where the reason why we need oversight from a perspective of data store.

Now enter ESXi 4.1.  The command vdf no longer accepts the name of store data as an additional argument.  I tried a number of different things but do not seem to find the right solution.

So basically I just need the same measures and be able to run for each of my stores of data.  Does anyone know a different way to this collection through the command line?

    Thanks in advance.

    Billy

with ls - lh mutual data store name, you can

and you can see with df h size.

but I believe that the best solutions is witch with VMA command line.

  • VM disk space monitoring

Hi, I'm wondering how to do this as efficiently as possible. I have 100 + VMs on different subnets, some behind firewalls etc. Is there a way to monitor the disk space on the virtual machines using Virtual Center/VMware tools?

Well the proper way would be to monitor free disk space of in virtual machines as you would on a physical server. However, there is a script that can integrate this information in VI, using the toolikit to perl:

  • Database of monitoring related to Java applications

    HI gurus,

I have a question about independent monitoring of database connected to multiple applications in java using JDBC.

Could you please tell me what needs to be monitored in such a data base? On what parameters should I wear?

Would be great if someone could tell me something more.

    see you soon

    Dlugasx

Normal database parameters will be made. No special monitoring for the database for java applications. If the performance of your database are good end user also get good performance.

You can set the JAVA_POOL_SIZE. Click on the link below.

  • How the predicate by a trend in the growth of the database space?

    Hi all

I'm trying to look at this holistic way and out of the box.

What is the absolute best way to face to predict a "growth Database?

Can you please recommend some software or methods that I might be able to 'pull' of...

    I'm totally open to suggestions...

    Thank you...

Every month, I have a report on demand in Enterprise Manager sent to me that gives me measures such as the growth of the database, use CPU/memory/disk. Then unload the numbers in an Excel spreadsheet for the pretty pictures of product like this for management:

There is no magic about that... at least not for me. Just create reports to capture the settings I want to trend and then add to Excel charts.

  • Running PowerCLI scripting against vCenter occupies space of database in vCenter?

    Hi all

Someone can confirm, running or collecting data using PowerCLI against vCenter occupy or use vCenter database space?

Some commands (generally the things which create, modify (including the power on/off/suspend/move/run, etc.). or remove) will create event entries will be stored in the database of vCenter. Others who may are Connect-VIServer can also register an event. The "Get" cmdlets will not create entered events

You can identify those who have the VI Client open and see if the script causes all events appear in the lower pane or by running Get-VIEvent on the vCenter server after your script is run (search for events based on the username)

  • calculate disk space total used by databases oracle across the company

    Hello

If we want to know the number of instances, the number of RAC databases and disk space around total used by oracle (not the size of file system),

    1. any script can be run to grid control OEM against all instances/databases?

    or

    2. we have a unix server that has the entire databases tnsnames, any script that we can run from there?

    Thank you very much!!

This is not a difficult task.

    What OEM version you have?

    (i) connection in OEM

    (2) create a Group and add all of the databases in this group

    3) go to the "Reports" section in OEM and GO to 'Oracle database space use (group)'

    4) click on this link

    (5) select the group that you created in the previous step and see the report.

    (6) it will show you the TOTAL space, space allocated and free space of all databases in the group together.

  • 4 k monitor workspace

I use Photoshop CC on a Samsung 4 k via Display Port Monitor.  I can't get the interface for the full screen.  This is a limitation, or I'm doing something wrong here?  I can't expand the image area in the black field below - which represents about 50% of the horizontal screen area.

If I open the timeline, it will dock at the bottom of the screen.  I could then expand the timeline upward and completely fill space black, to move the image to the top area.  If I drag the timeline toward the bottom, the area of the image stops at the same place.  If I arrange 3-vertical documents, images of the document will be stack and fill the space monitor (and the black area).  But for a single image, I can't change the window full-screen.  Any ideas?

    Thanks in advance.

    1. What is the difference between the Director of GG and GG monitor?
    2. can I install gg only monitor? why we need Director? Director is instead of ggsci?
    3. What are the requirements to monitor GG on Solaris Server with oracle 11.2?
    4. are there separate unix and database user required to monitor gg?

a clarification, can I use the source for the gg monitor repository database? or you should use the separate database?

I think you can create a separate schema and use it but it will be a good idea to keep it separate. Maybe you can install Oracle Database & GG monitor on a single machine.

  • OLT database requirements

    Hi there guys and girls,

Can someone help me with the following:

What are the typical requirements for the database to use for the BTA (disk space, etc.)?
The database will be located on a UNIX / Linux server.

    Thank you
    Blu

    Hello
Database space requirements will depend on the size and frequency of the tests you want to run on BTA. You can start with 10 GB for medium or 30 GB for large projects. But it's just a suggestion. This depends on your specific use.

You must use standard single quotes anywhere in the query.
This code has the backtick backward. Replace them.
All quotes must be like those around "SPACE" and "US".

    ('SPATIAL', sdo_keywordarray(street_number || ` ` || street_name, city || `, ` || state || ` ` || postal_code),'US');
