  Looks like your laptop CMOS battery needs to be replaced.  It is not the same battery that powers your laptop.  It is usually a battery of lithium-manganese dioxide of small coin shaped that resemble the shows big battery.  You should consult your instructions of the manufacturer on how to access and what type of battery is needed to replace it.

  There is a battery on the motherboard that stores configuration information, including the date and time.  It seems that if this battery should be replaced.  Check motherboard of your friend or the system manual for more details - the battery is usually very inexpensive and easy to replace once found.

  If so, you probably have a dead motherboard battery.
  Go to your computer manufacturer's website and download the manuals for your computer.  One of them should explain how to change your battery.

  It is certainly because you have to replace the battery of the time clock (RTC) real (also called the CMOS battery or the BIOS battery).

  If you have a desktop/Tower computer, battery replacement is easy and inexpensive.

  If you have a laptop, it may be easy & inexpensive or it could be difficult and expensive.

Because the dates of our cameras vary, I used "Image, set Date and time" to change the dates of the imported pictures. When the dates and times are adjusted, the photos are sorted by date no time. Added photos changed the given date are sorted at the end, regardless of time stamp. The sort options in the pictures leave much to be desired.

  Where are you seeing this? All the photos are sorted by date/time, the photo has been added to the library - Photos (years/collections/moments) are sorted by date/time pictures

  You can select the photos of interest and create your own album of them and then sort but title ascending or descending or by date

  Once the date and time changes are applied Cisco IPS CLI, they should have been saved. No additional step of "savings" manually is necessary.

  Also, have you thought about Configure NTP on IPS server. IPS synchronizes time with NTP server, if there is no difference.

  I suggest you contact Cisco TAC and report the problem of equipment.

  Certainly, you need to replace the motherboard battery CMOS.
  They are just 3 $US or more and easy to replace.

  The date and time are universally on us Pacific time zone. You can't change it.
