Date number of Format for date fields in dashboard pages.

We have two guests of field date in our dashboard pages for which we need to show the default values.
The SQL logic, we used for this is:

Select case when 1 = 2 then "time Dim - effective". Day of another cobalt current_date

When you click on the Preview button, the command prompt displays the current date in the format MM/DD/YYYY value.
But when the same prompt is placed in the dashboard page, its projection upwards to the YYYY-MM-DD format.
And when we choose the date in the calendar in the dashboard, the format is DD/MM/YYYY which is as expected.
If we want the values by default also to be shown in the format MM/DD/YYYY.
How can this problem be solved...

Thank you
Swetha

Hi Swetha,
Create a variable of the server default for this server vairable guests with this sql SELECT To_Char(SYSDATE,'MM-DD-YYYY') FROM dual (instead of sysdate, you can use your date column)

Thank you

  • After VO extension update the page for some fields on a page does not work

    After VO extension update the page for some fields on a page does not work. The message arrives the data are saved, but the values is the same as that of the former. And this happens with only a few fields, other fields are working well.

    Any pointer to solve problems will be of great help.

    Thank you in advance.

    Check if the standard VO has a RowImpl and it overrides the methods getter and setter for fields that is affected. If so, you will need to call super() in your custom extended RowImpl to call this logic.

    See the link below for how to call great from the extended RowImpl.

    Example Code:

    public String getAttribute1() {
       //return (String) getAttributeInternal("Attribute1");

    If the above did not help, attach standard and custom VO files. We can have a look.

    Set the size of the Mask of the class property as you like. For example

    DD/MM/RRRR
    Or

  • Date format for the field date

    Hello

    I'm stuck with formatting issues after that try to various forums, but none of them worked so far...

    Now, the question is I have two fields on the form date both are of date data type and I checked the type of attribute VO also data...

    Among the parameters fields like messagestyledtext are messageinputtext...

    It's weird when I checked the dates with system.out.println, it displays in the format as follows:

    Value LevelIIAppeal before 2015-08-20

    LevelIIAppeal value before August 20, 2015

    I tried below is the code in LICs both methods but none of them: alert

    java.sql.Date date1;

    SimpleDateFormat sformat = new SimpleDateFormat("dd-MMM-yyyy");

    If (UVO.getCurrentRow () .getAttribute ("LevelIiAppealDeadline")! = null) {}

    Thank you.

    MK,

    As I've said several times, the format of an object of type 'Date' have no significance. You can just skip the date object to the PL/SQL (format are not important, if passing as Date).

    You can refer to the blog below if you want to see how to move Date of page to PL/SQL. : Oracle tips of Johny: OAF: sample code to call the PL/SQL of OA Framework procedure

  • Pupulating of the date field to the top of the opening of the document

    Hello

    Have a 6 page doc.  some pages contain date, but with different field names field.  On the first page I want to check if the date is null then fill it with the current date, and then copy the date populated to other pages... If the document has been record and reopened the latter I want the first populated date to be kept because it was populated for the first time.

    First date field 'TodaysDate' is open for date fields to update on other pages are read-only.

    Date field named first page: TodaysDate.

    and the following code is executed as soon as the doc. under the tool/JavaScript/Document JavaScripts:

    function populate_date (doc)

    {

    var f = this.getField ("TodaysDate");

    If (! f.value) f.value = util.printd ("d/m/yyyy", new Date());

    }

    populate_date (this); call my function

    Problem I do not get filled at all... and it's the screenshot that I receive via Consul:

    no idea what could be the problem?

    Kind regards

    Jeff P.

    Assuming that the TodaysDate field exists, you encounter a timing problem.

    At the time, that the function is executed, the fields have not yet established. This is quite common with MultiPage forms.

    Therefore, you can define the function in a script at the level of the document, but you'll call in the event PageOpen of the page on which the document opens. You can protect it, so that it runs only once.

    On the function, I have my doubts that it works, because test you if the value of the field is. It is always the case. Instead of test if the value of the field is equal to the field's defaultValue. The function would then look like this:

    function populateDate()

    {

    If (this.getField("TodaysDate").value is {this.getField("TodaysDate").defaultValue})

    this.getField("TodaysDate").value = util.printd ("dd/mm/yyyy", new Date();)

    }

    }

    As stated, it is not even necessary to set the function, simply run the code in the event pageOpen.

    I hope this can help.

  • Set the value to the field on another Page

    Hello

    I'm still a little new to this, through forums, that I managed to learn a lot of things. But I met another difficulty. I have

    I created a form in LiveCycle with two pages. On page 1, the fees are calculated by multiplying Field1 * Field2 and by adding the value of another. I managed to accomplish this with the following code:

    This.rawValue = Field3.rawValue + (Field1.rawValue * Field2.rawValue)

    As I said, that seems to work.

    To Page 2, I have a drop down list with five options. In the object > value tab I checked specify point values but has not changed a thing. If the value of the option range from 1 to 5.

    When option 5 is selected I want to set a value for a field that is Page 1. I tried with the following script:

    If (this.rawValue = 5) {}

    Page1.positionedSubform.field3.rawValue = 149;

    } else {}

    Page1.positionedSubform. Field3.rawValue = 0;

    }

    I'm now writer at all, but it seems to work somehow. Not that I want to :-).

    When I saw the PDF that it auto sets the value of Field3 and the drop to 149 field.

    I want to first Field3 on page 1 to 0 by default (entered in the object > field value tab 3) and set it to 149 if you have selected the option with the value of 5 in the drop down list on page 2.

    Any ideas?

    (Sorry for the bad explanation, don't know how to explain it better is if)

    Hello

    Did you use the calculate event in the drop-down list? If so, move the script to the output of the dropdown event.

  • iBot - seeding of cache for dashboard pages

    Hello everyone,

    I have a problem when I create an ibot for pages dashboard shared cache of seeds: the ibot works in 1 second and finished as completed successfully, but no cache file has been created... I saw nothing wrong / weird in the log file generated from a log file generated by an ibot that hides seeds properly. This problem appears only when I select a page in the subdirectory "layout of dashboard. In this subdirectory, it's pages of the dashboard shared, right?

    Could you tell me what I missed?

    If it is unclear feel free to ask me questions.

    Thanks in advance for your help.

    Not really.
    You can very well seed dashboard pages, but the trick is that you should select "Active delivery profile" or "Digital dashboard" added to the BI server as the destination cache when you create the Ibot for
    seeding of the dashboard Page.

    This is a known bug of Oracle, which is supposed to have corrected at 11.1... version given that exact.

    Part 2, help information on the Format mask item property; you will need to make sure that you set the property correctly.

    Sorry, I had to drill two answers but my first attempt surpassed the eligible characters in an answer ;-)

    Usage Notes

    Valid format masks for character strings, numbers and dates are described in the following tables.
    Character Strings
    The following table describes valid format masks for character strings.

    Element     Example     Description
    FM FMXX99 Fill mode: accept string as typed, do not right justify. Allows end user input string to be shorter than the format mask.
    X XXXX Any alphabetic, numeric, or special character. End user input string must be exact length specified by format mask.
    9 9999 Numeric characters only. End user input string must be exact length specified by format mask.
    A AAAA Alphabetic characters only. End user input string must be exact length specified by format mask.
    Character String Examples

    Format Mask     Description
    XXAA Will accept: --ab, abcd, 11ab; will not accept: --11, ab11, or ab--(must use XX to accept hyphens and other special characters).
    XXXX Will accept any combination of alphabetic, numeric, or special characters: --ab, abcd, 11ab, --11, ab11, or ab--. Will accept 1234 or abcd; will not accept 123 or abc. (To accept input string shorter than mask, use FMXXXX.)
    FMXX99 Will accept ab12, ab1, ab followed by two spaces; will not accept 12ab or abcd. (To produce the Form Builder Version 3.0 Alpha datatype, use FMAAAAAA.)
    n To embed additional characters such as a hyphen (-) or a comma (,), surround the character with double-quotes (").
    n Embedded characters are separate from text item values and are not collated along with text item values, even when the end user enters them.

    NUMBERS

    The following table describes valid format masks for numbers.

    Element     Example     Description
    9 9999 Number of nines determines display width. Any leading zeros will be displayed as blanks.
    0     0999     Display leading zeros.
    0 9990 Display zero value as zero, not blank.
    $ $9999 Prefix value with dollar sign.
    B B9999 Display zero value as blank, not "0".
    MI 9999MI Display "-" after a negative value.
    PR 9999PR Display a negative value in .
    comma 9,999 Display a comma in this position. For correct behavior in multilingual applications, substitute G to return the appropriate group (thousands) separator.
    period 99.99 Display a decimal point in this position. For correct behavior in multilingual applications, substitute D to return the appropriate decimal separator.
    E 9.999EEEE Display in scientific notation (format must contain exactly four "E"s).
    FM FM999 Fill mode: accept string as typed, do not right justify.
    n When you mask a number with nines (9), Form Builder adds a space in front of the number to accommodate the plus (+) or minus (-) sign. However, since the plus sign is not displayed, it appears as if Form Builder adds a space in front of the number. (The minus sign is displayed.)
    n To embed additional characters such as a hyphen (-) or a comma (,), surround the character with double-quotes (").
    n Embedded characters are separate from text item values and are not collated along with text item values, even when the end user enters them.

    NUMBER Examples

    Format Mask     Description
    FM099"-"99"-"9999 Displays the social security number as formatted, including hyphens, even if end user enters only nine digits.To create a Social Security column, create an 11-character column, set to fixed length, with a format mask of 099"-"99"-"9999. This mask will accommodate Social Security numbers that begin with zero, accepting 012-34-5678 or 012345678 (both stored as 012345678).
    99999PR     Accepts -123; reformats as <123>.
    999MI     Accepts -678; reformats as 678-.
    9.999EEEE     Displays as 1.00E+20.
    How Forms handles length mismatches

    If a runtime user enters a numeric string that exceeds the format mask specification, the value will be rejected. For example:

    Format Mask     User enters     Result
    99.9     321.0     Invalid
    99.9     21.01     Invalid
    99.9     21.1     21.1
    99.9     01.1     1.1
    In contrast, if a numeric value fetched from the database exceeds the format mask specification for its display field, the value is displayed, but truncated, with rounding, to fit the mask. (The item itself within the Forms application retains its full value.) For example, if the database held the value 2.0666, and the format mask was 99.9, the value displayed to the user would be 2.1. However, the value of the item within the form would be the full 2.0666.

    Dates

    The following table describes valid format masks for dates.

    Element     Description
    YYYY or SYYYY 4-digit year; "S" prefixes "BC" date with "-".
    YYY or YY or Y Last 3, 2, or 1 digits of year.
    Y,YYY Year with comma in this position.
    BC or AD     BC/AD indicator.
    B.C. or A.D.     BD/AD indicator with periods.
    RR Defaults to correct century. Deduces the century from a date entered by comparing the 2 digit year entered with the year and century to which the computer's internal clock is set. Years 00-49 will be given the 21st century (the year 2000), and years from 50-99 will be given the 20th century (the year 1900).
    MM     Month (01-12; JAN = 01).
    MONTH Name of month, padded with blanks to length of 9 characters.
    MON Name of month, 3-letter abbreviation.
    DDD     Day of year (1-366).
    DD     Day of month (1-31).
    D     Day of week (1-7; Sunday=1).
    DAY Name of day, padded with blanks to length of 9 characters.
    DY Name of day, 3-letter abbreviation.
    J Julian day; the number of days since January 1, 4712 BC.
    AM or PM     Meridian indicator.
    A.M. or P.M. Meridian indicator with periods.
    HH or HH12 Hour of day (1-12).
    HH24     Hour of day (0-23).
    MI     Minute (0-59).
    SS     Second (0-59).
    SSSSS     Seconds past midnight (0-86399).
    /. , . Punctuation is reproduced in the result.
    "..." Quoted string is reproduced in the result.
    FM Fill mode: assumes implied characters such as O or space; displays significant characters left justified. Allows end user input to be shorter than the format mask. (Use in conjunction with FX to require specific delimiters.)
    FX All date literals must match the format mask exactly, including delimiters.
    n When you prefix a date mask with FX, the end user must enter the date exactly as you define the mask, including the specified delimiters:

    Date Examples

    Format Mask     Description
    FXDD-MON-YY Will accept 12-JAN-94, but will not accept 12.JAN.94 or 12/JAN/94 because the delimiters do not match the mask. Will not accept 12JAN94 because there are no delimiters. Will accept 01-JAN-94 but will not accept 1-JAN-94.
    FMDD-MON-YY Will accept 01-JAN-94. Will also accept the entry of other delimiters, for example 01/JAN/94 and 01 JAN 94. However, will not accept 01JAN94. Will accept 1-JAN-94, converting it to 01-JAN-94.
    DD-MON-YY Will accept 12.JAN.94, 12/JAN/94 or 12-JAN-94. Note: Any delimiter characters will be accepted, but if delimiters are omitted by the end user, this mask will interpret date characters as a delimiters. Will accept 12-JAN94, (but will erroneously interpret as 12-JAN-04); but will not accept 12JAN94, because "AN" is not a valid month name.
    n Use of a format mask only affects how the data looks. Form Builder stores full precision, regardless of how the data is presented.
    n Embedded characters are separate from text item values and are not collated along with text item values, even when the end user enters them.
    n To embed additional characters such as a hyphen (-) or a comma (,), surround the character with double-quotes ("). Note, however, that double-quotes themselves cannot be used as a character. In other words, trying to achieve output of DD"MM by specifying a mask of DD"""MM would not work.

    Format Mask     Description
    FMMONTH" "DD", "YYYY Displays the text item data in the specified date format: JANUARY 12, 1994, including the appropriate blank spaces and comma.
    FMDD-MONTH-YYYY     Displays as 12-JANUARY-1994.
    DY-DDD-YYYY Displays as WED-012-1994. Note: for input validation including day of the week, a mask that allows specific determination of the day is required, such as this example or DY-DD-MM-YY.
    n When you use day of the week formats, be sure that the data includes day of the week information. To avoid illogical masks, display also either the day of the year (1-366) or the month in some format.

    Format Mask     Description
    DD-MONTH-YYYY     Displays as 12-JANUARY-1994.
    DY-DDD-YYYY     Displays as WED-012-1994.
    DY-DD-MON-YY Displays as WED-12-JAN-94. Be sure to include month. Avoid masks such as DY-DD-YY, which could generate an error.
    NLS Format Masks

    The following table describes valid National Language Support (NLS) format masks.

    Element     Example     Description
    C C999 Returns the international currency symbol.
    L L9999 Returns the local currency symbol.
    D 99D99 Returns the decimal separator.
    G 9G999 Returns the group (thousands) separator.
    comma 9,999 Displays a comma in this position.
    period 9.999 Displays a decimal point in this position. Displays a decimal point in this position.
    NLS Format Mask Examples

    Format Mask     Description
    L99G999D99 Displays the local currency symbol, group, and decimal separators: if NLS_LANG=American, this item displays as $1,600.00; if NLS_LANG=Norwegian, this item displays as Kr.1.600,00.
    C99G999D99 Displays the appropriate international currency symbol: if NLS_LANG=American, this item displays as USD1,600.00; if NLS_LANG=French, this item displays as FRF1.600,00.

  • Change the format of a date field to be used in a file name.

    Good afternoon!

    I use Livecycle ES3 and Adobe Professional XI

    I have a form in livecycle for employee evaluations.

    I'm saving a file based on domain names.  My problem is when I use a date in my file name field.  I have the scripts to work for the confidence function and the button on the form field.  They are listed below.

    Script folder level-

    mySaveAs = app.trustPropagatorFunction (function (doc, path)
    {
    app.beginPriv ();
    doc.saveAs (path);
    app.endPriv ();
    });

    myTrustedSpecialTaskFunc = app.trustedFunction (function (doc, file_path)
    {
    Privileged and non-privileged code above
    app.beginPriv ();
    mySaveAs (doc, file_path);
    app.endPriv ();
    });

    Button script

    () myTrustedSpecialTaskFunc

    this, "/ c/myfiles / ' + ReviewPeriodTo.rawValue + '-' + Div.rawValue + '-' + EVALTTYPE.rawValue + '-' + LASTNAME.rawValue + '-' + FIRSTNAME.rawValue +

    ".pdf");

    My problem is the ReviewPeriodTo.rawValue.  When I enter data in the form and that you do not enter a value for the ReviewPeriodTo field, the file is saved with the values of other fields, and a null value is inserted where the field would go to date.

    When I type a value such as 2014-03-15 in the area of the ReviewPeriodTo and values in other areas, it works.

    When I try to insert a value in as the 15/03/2014 in the area of the ReviewPeriodTo, I get the following error.

    RaiseError: The file may be read-only or another user can open. Please save the document under a different name or in a different folder.

    Doc.saveAs:16:XFA:form1 [0]: page 1 [0]: #subform [0]: Button3 [0]: mouseUp

    = > The file may be read-only or another user may be subject to open. Please save the document under a different name or in a different folder.

    My problem is, it's part of a much larger process when I import information from a make table query MS Access which is exported to Excel.  If I could just format field data automatically to formation of yyyy-mm-dd since t, that would work, but I don't know how to do coding in MS Access.

    Question: How can I format the data which are entered on the form to be the yyyy-mm-dd format?

    I tried to change the display format and data through models livecycle for the field, but it does not work.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Thank you

    Hello

    It sounds like you need to specify all the formats users can enter the date in the editing modes.  If it matches one of the formats then the rawValue will be automatically formatted to yyyy-mm-dd format.

    This means that if the formattedValue is equal to the rawValue then the date does not match one of the edition models so you will need display an error message.

  • Date field and amount of table format

    Hi all
    I'm working on jdev 11.1.2.1.0
    When the page loads I'm populating a table based on a query of the VO.
    In this table, I have a few fields (columns) of the date and the amount.
    I want to format these columns, how can I do?

    Appreciate your help.

    Thank you and best regards,
    Madhav K.

    For the Date field, you can try this:

    <>
    dateStyle = 'average' pattern = "dd-MMM-yyyy" / >

    And for many, it should work.

    I just tried, both work for me.

  • Formatting of the fields of Dates in Web applications

    I create a web application that lists the event schedules. An output section contains the date of the event. Is there a way I can reformat a date field that is in the web application to appear differently. Example, rather than showing as 1 may 2013, how to display the date as "may 1'? Is there a way to do this without inserting JavaScript custom page? I am looking for an internal function in Vancouver to do this reformatting. Thank you.

    Hi Neil,

    Date formatting is not customizable, you will need some JS to tweak that. Here is an article as reference: http://forums.adobe.com/docs/DOC-1869

  • Update for a null date field

    Hello world

    I have a web page called quality which has several records on it with several people connected to it at the same time, update. I'm trying to update a date field and it works, but then if I try to erase it and update, it is not update it a Null value. When I put in the code to try to update as a null in the update request, he puts a date of 01/01/00 in the field for some reason any and also updates the other fields empty to this day. I have something to explain the drop Downs nulls in my other fields. The code I used for those who was like that in the update query:

    Set Approval_Initials = < cfqueryparam cfsqltype = "CF_SQL_VARCHAR" value = "#Evaluate('form.) (PDF_Creation_Doc_Control_Approval_Initials #id #') # ' null = "len (trim (Evaluate('form.) #NOT". ' (PDF_Creation_Doc_Control_Approval_Initials #id #'))) # "/ >

    I need to use something like this again for the field Date, except with the tag CF_SQL_DATE? Here's what I have for the field Date right now:

    < Cfif DisplayQualityDate.recordcount >

    < cfif isDefined "(form. ("Quality_Date #id # ') and evaluate"(form. ("Quality_Date #id # ') NEQ" ">" ".

    < cfquery Datasource = '#application. DataSource #">"

    Approval of the update

    Set Approval_Date = ' #Evaluate ("form. (Quality_Date #id #») #

    WHERE APV_ItemID = #id # AND Document_Type = 'quality '.

    < / cfquery >

    < / cfif >

    < / cfif >

    Is this enough information? What does the CF_SQL_DATE do exactly? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Andy

    Andy,

    A couple of things to think about:

    1. Are the date columns in your database that is configured to accept null values?
    2. The database recognizes dates into the format that your users do not penetrate into the (i.e.: "d/m/yy")?

    You should be able to use similar logic to null cfqueryparam = on your form field data.  CF_SQL_DATE will tell your database the value passed is a date, and not another type of data.
