Date of submission to the conversion of TIMESTAMP variable

I have a date database table id column, a quick date with calendar and I need to show the number of days between the DATE_COLUMN and PROMPT_VALUE.
I am selected storage prompt value in variable presentation PROMPT_DATE.
I think, I need to use the TIMESTAMPDIFF function, but I have this problem:

TIMESTAMPDIFF (SQL_TSI_DAY, DATE_COLUMN, ANOTHER_DATE_COLUMN) is OK

but

TIMESTAMPDIFF (SQL_TSI_DAY, DATE_COLUMN, CAST (' @{PROMPT_DATE}' as DATE))

I got the error:

[nQSError: 10058] A general error occurred. [nQSError: 46046] 01/04/2000 DateTime value does not match the specified format. (HY000) (...... TIMESTAMPDIFF (SQL_TSI_DAY, periods. ((' ' Month ', cast (' 01 / 04/2000 ' as date))...)

I Don t know how to convert variable date of presentation by TIMESTAMP or another format, that I can use in TIMESTAMPDIFF function.

I have an idea, but I'd like to find another solution. One solution might be to analyze variable presentation string, substring pieces 3 per day, mount, year and concat that parts in a single string, which can be used in TIMESTAMP call
But I'm having a problem with the format of date and places. For example, in English, I'll have jj/mm/aaaa mask, in another language, I will have exact mask

Can you help me?

  • Causing problems of custom data type to deploy the shared target RT variable

    I seem to have some difficulty in using a shared variable published network created from a customized data type when it is deployed as an executable on a target of cRIO RT.  I'll start by describing why I think that this is the rub.  I created my RT VI in the LabVIEW (LV 2012) development environment and everything works fine.  This VI is quite simple, because these were quickly devolved into an exercise in debugging.  The RT VI begins by simply flashing the LED to a couple of times and then starts a loop simple acquisition to read some values out of the material using the analytical engine (while still flashing the LED of the user).  After reading the material, the values are grouped in a cluster and written in a shared variable published to the network defined by a custom control type def.  The custom control contains five floats double precision.  If it's important, the RT cRIO system hosts the shared variable in this case.

    So I have that deploy in the development environment, and everything works fine.  The LED flashes merrily along, telling me that the program runs correctly.  Running a VI host who reads the shared network has published variable gives the desired result.  Everything is good.

    Now, I want the cRIO system to run this simple program by itself at startup.  I build, set it as start VI, deploy it, and then restart the cRIO target.  The LED never flashing... the VI doesn't seem to work.  I'll spare you the major part of the work of debugging and access to the end.  I basically "diagram Disabled" various sections of the code up to the VI began to run correctly in an executable file.  I kept reducing the size of the disabled code until something has been disabled: the writing in the shared variable for the custom data type.

    So, I guess my question is this: are custom data types defined by type def would be personalized orders authorized executables to RT?  I read through the cRIO Developers Guide, my book of development in real time course of NOR and the white paper using shared Variables and I see nothing that forbids it.  I know that there are things not allowed in the executable files that are allowed in the development environment (property nodes façade, dialogue live, operating system specific calls, etc.), but no mention of the shared variable type custom data.  Any ideas as to why my VI is running in the development environment, but does not update unless I have delete the entry on the published network variable shared?

    You must disconnect the data types of variables and then recompile. You can find it useful to keep on disk, a copy of the original lvlib.

    Don't know if this is a bug or not. It was suggested by someone in the forum that putting the ctl files in the right position (the disk? in the draft?) would allow the rtexe start; I did a quick check and it didn't work then I dropped the tests more far.

  • Reliability of the data in the conversion to & from a Variant...

    It is possible to convert any data type to a variant, and then turn it back on.  In doing so, are there data types who will lose information during the conversion process?  If so, why?

    Yes, you can convert any type to a variable ranging and back. There is a VI called "Variant data" which will have a type as input. He continued to convert the variant the correct data. The side variant must know what type of data to expect. He can pull of the Variant. However, you can use a cluster of generic data that consists of a username and a Variant. Then you can have different types of data which can handle the side reception. It is a two-step process. One of conversion the variant of general type (data type and Variant cluster). The second would be a case statement uses the type then covert the internal variant to the specified type. This approach is used for generic messaging systems. The upper levels of the code will know what to do with the data. The lower levels are just generic data passing around.

    I'm not aware of any information that get lost during the conversion of the data to and from a variant. Of course, I not had no problem using them.

  • Optimize the conversion of SGL data chain

    As the title indicates, I'm looking to pronounce on a more efficient way (as appropriate) to convert a string into an array of SGL.

    The detachment is just to get feedback on the best ways of doing things from a personal educational point of view. I don't actually have to improve performance... (Just keep improving my skills of codeing.)

    'More effective' here must take to be less cycles of CPU and low memory footprint, in that order. (That is, most small load on CPU is preferred, if smaller memory footprint is at the expense of the other cycles CPU, the hit on memory footprint is preferred).

    The length of the input string comes from a TCP read and contains only the raw bytes of the expected (in this case, SGL) format without any header/footer of meta-data.

    Currently, my implementation is very simple and given that the expected table size is known, I am relying on the loop being smart in his automatic indexation allowance.

    For the conversion, I do a right type-Gallery of 4 characters at once.

    The code below, the for loop is simply intended to give a 'real' output boolean if the string length is the length of expected as determined by the input string 'number of track points. No additional error handling is required or necessary.

    I suspect the "subset of string" combined with the iterations (for loop) are the two worst performance in this VI hits, but I can't think of a good way to do the conversion as a table, and if I could, then I should at least do a conversion in 'string to array U8' first.

  • problem about dynamic data to the conversion of table 1 d

    I have problem with the conversion between dynamic data and table 1 d.

    I wrote a simple VI to show the problem, as the attached picture. Convert dynamic data in table 1 d, and then return to the dynamics of data, I use 3 tables of waveform display data in 3 different places, but only 'force contact 2' the graph looks normal and the 2 other cards are strange data shows. In addition, the probe indicates that data are all just before going to the charts. What is wrong with him?

    When you convert a table, you lose your calendar information.  You need to convert a waveform and manipulate waveform data.  Use a Structure of elements in Place with waveform components to manipulate waveform data.

  • Find (weekly) missing date ranges based on the Date of submission

    Nice day:

    I have a table that contains the data with a date of presentation of the report column.  If the requirements are that each employee must submit at least 1 weekly report beginning January 1, 2015, how can I find the weekly reports missing, based on the date of submission of reports.

    The ideas that I had:

    • Left join by partition by date (range between)
    • Create a date dimension view?

    Of course, I'm not sure how to approach this dilemma without creating a query of Monster.  Sometimes the simplest queries mistake me...

    When to convert a file to DNG in Lightroom, it changes the capture time in the metadata for the date and time, rather than copy the data from the source.  Is there a way in which I can say from my dates alone?

    Normally the DNG conversion transferring metadata from the source file in the DNG format.   It may be that the source file does not have a capture time nested, in which case LR can sometimes become squirrels. The most effective way to solve this:

    --Select a source file that has this problem.

    -Post a screenshot of grid view of library showing what LR thinks, it is the date of capture under the tile.

    -Convert to DNG, but do not delete the original.

    -Download the DNG format and the original to Dropbox (or similar) and post the link here.

    Who must provide all the necessary information to understand what is happening and find a solution.

    I have a command prompt in the dashboard that fills the variable user_entered_date of query. but I defualted to a SystemDate in the repository.


    I have a report and this leads to a page of a dashboard. Whenever I open the page, it gives me an error. But when I select a date in the command prompt and run the report, and it works well.
    Its only when I open the page or the dashboard at the start, it is in error as syntax incorecct. I give the example below...

    All of the built-in functions will work fine as long as use you them as directed; in particular, pass arguments that have the correct data type. If a function requires a DATE for an argument, always place a DATE, not a VARCHAR2 you hope will be be implicitly converted to DATE.

    As the respondent previous said, the two work may , depends on several factors, such as your NLS parameters. It's a very bad habit to rely on such things. The 1st argument to ADD_MONTHS and two arguments to MONTHS_BETWEEN, are supposed to be DATEs, so always call these functions with the DATEs.

    No, it's because there is no ROUND function (VARCHAR2).
    The use of strings which are expected of the DATEs is simply asking for trouble. Sometimes, you get what you're asking.

    This looks good to me. C1 will be USD and C2 will be EUR entity will be [none]. Choose USD and EUR in C1 and C2, make sure to change the 'Selector' drop-down list on the form of "currency".

    TO_TIMESTAMP expects a string as input, so it first makes an implicit conversion from DATE to a string, in the format of NSL_DATE_FORMAT.

    To convert the TIMESTAMP DATE independently NLS_DATE_FORMAT, use

    I'm not exactly sure how works of Laplink, but assuming that he transfer all your data from Windows user profile, then you should bring your Firefox to your new computer data. You can confirm by checking here on both computers and comparing what you see:

    In particular, make sure that Laplink copied the profiles.ini file and folder profile and its subfolders.

    I suggest you copy the data in the first, then installation of Firefox. In this case, when you install Firefox it should automatically find your data and you will be running. If you install Firefox first, then you will need to take some additional precautions to get your old data in.
