  I get an error message that the images are too large (width and height).

  I looked at previous forums. They say to compress the images in photoshop. I did it and it worked.

  (1) what size should I I compress to, or should I allow it compress automatically to what the photoshop selects?

  If you bring your picture around 2000 x 1500 will be ok.

  You must resize the images first.  You can use irfanview to do relatively easily (www.irfanview.com).  The DVD may actually contain a directory of thumbnails of sizes.  You could check everything first.

  After struggling for more than 40 hours to get Windows Movie Maker to encode my video project of 15 minutes I downloaded a demo of first Elements 8 with high hopes. I LOVE the interface PE incidentally... so professional but accessible to the novice consumer user. I now wonder if my project is just too big. Now that I have all of my video clips loaded I am currently editing down and PE crashes.

  I'm on a PC Windows Vista SP2 32-bit with 2 GB of memory and processor Intel Core 2 Duo processor. 20 GB free on the local hard disk and a lot of external memory (even if I don't use it yet).

  My project currently consists of more than 40 clips video shorts-ish with a total running time of 12 minutes (I am creating a video compilation of my child's first year). The video source is a Sony DV (MPG format) and a video camera FLIP Ultra (converted to WMV AVI). I also loaded into 5 files of music in WMA and MP3 formats. Finally, I would like to add some JPG pictures as well, but I obviously hit a limit. I have successfully loaded all these files with apparently no conversion problem (once I converted the FLIP reviews for WMVs) and can play behind the scenes. Accidents happen when I'm in the middle of cut scenes (which makes them shorter) and when I try to add a menu.

  So, is my project too big? What is the best way to size to the top of my project and determine if it's just too big for Premiere Elements? What are the size of the project and the software file size limits? Should I all over again and just add and edit clips video one at a time (and drop certain content along the way)? How much should I deposit?

  No, that's exactly the point.

  Video uses one, thousands of codecs (compression methods), created for different purposes. Inside your camcorder, because she recorded on a flash drive, the priority space, so that it uses a codec which is strongly compressed.

  But the very compressed codecs - especially when they are created by a manufacturer, as in this case - specifically do change well. So you have to convert it to something more universal, with emphasis on quality. AVI using the DV codec is the universal language of PC video editors.

  But DV - AVI is large by nature. About 13 GB per hour - roughly a gigabyte for all the 4 or 5 minutes of video. That of why, as any video editor knows, the first priority in any computer of the video editing is many, many free, defragmented hard drive space.

  I just finished my first film with premiere CS5. I thought that everything was going well until I saw the result: behind the scenes of the original (hd) seems to be too big for first because when I finished to make the film that I see only in the middle of the film. The sides are removed.

  I checked and I realized that my titles are OK, they 'worthy' in the rectangular form, but movies that I shot are much bigger than the "rectangular". I don't know how to adapt in this rectangle. Does anyone have any ideas how to do this?

  Looks like you have pictures big screen but created a sequence of standard size.

  you drag pictures to the icon of a new element and first create the correct order for the video that you have.

  Also you don't say what your goal of the final movie.   Is it for web or DVD?  Depending on what output is help us understand what export you should will also use.

  What browser do you use to go online?

  If you use Internet Explorer, you can check the level of zoom in the bottom right of the screen and set it to your liking.

  You can also try to optimize Internet Explorer.

  Well, the error message says it all.  "" too big for server".

  There is a limit imposed by your ISP/mail server, which you don't mention.

  Not only the servers have limits on the size, this is not necessarily the same for incoming and outgoing messages.

  If you say you use the e-mail program and the name of your e-mail server, maybe we can shed light on the more specific issue, but the problem is definitely with them and not Outlook Express.

  P.S. I'm not sure what you mean by 'signature'

• I finished a project with the false frames/second preference AND display wrong format preferably. The project is now too big to burn. What can I do?

  Somehow the frames per second display format preference has been to double the normal size, and now my 35 minutes is too big for "burn" on a disk.  Is there a "" fix"for what happened.  I have no idea how the preferences has changed, but I discovered that they were when my project has proved to be the Blu - Ray 25 GB and 7.72 GB in size normal DVDs, too big to burn to a disc. I wonder if there is a "fix" for the link that I find myself now.

  When you save your project, and then rename, move or delete a photo next time you open your project, you will see a red X where the photo was. Just a click with the right button on the X and select Remove then import your photo again under the new name or location and click on save project on the file menu.

  In the menu task under finished film click Save to my computer tracking instructions and your project will be saved as a movie.
