• Have no status levels monitor/ink on my Epson Stylus Photo 1400 inkjet

  My computer operating system is MS XP Pro and my Epson ink jet is connected directly to a USB port. All the other features of my printer works fine, as was my "Status Monitor" (all my cartridge showing ink levels) until recently. Epson by phone and online could only tell me that there is a conflict in my system (such as with newly updated antivirus software) that is causing the problem. I miss the ability to determine when I need to change a cartridge.

  You use Epson ink or 3rd party refills? If you do not use genuine inks, this feature may not work.

  If you use genuine inks and then go to the Epson website and download drivers full version, if it's too complicated, uninstall the Epson software and reinstall from the original disk.

  When I try to startup macbook pro retina in battery mode, it will fail to start showing low battery level and an indicator to recharge the battery. It does not start on battery. When I then connect via the power cable at startup (and check the battery level), monitor of battery in the menu bar indicates that the battery is charged to the top.

  It gets really frustrating and remove my ability to use the macbook pro retina as a truly portable device...

• 6510 ink level alert

  I have a Photsmart 3210 have recently moved to a printer Photosmart 6510 and must admit to being a little disappointed. The 3210 was a much more robust version, but the main point of this question relates to the ink level monitoring. On the 3210, I got a message saying that the level was low so I could check I had replacements, then, when the cartridge is empty the printer would stop printing until I replaced the empty cartridge. My 6510 gives me a low level warning, but when the cartridge is empty it operates a printing happily, wasting paper and ink of the other three cartridges.  This is how he should behave?   If so, I lose no more ink per throw, until the cartridge is empty or by impression of scrap!   Not a step forward in my mind.  Please let me know if I have something is set incorrectly.  Thank you.

  You are right.  Photosmart 3210 and Photosmart 6510 differ in the way in which they will inform you on the ink.  Photosmart 3210 has a reservoir of print head and did not allow printing to continue with the ink still in the printer.  When print quality is unacceptable for the Photosmart 6510, replace empty ink cartridges.

  Check the ink levels from the front panel of the printer by touching the icon that looks like a drop of ink in the top bar.  If the ink cartridges are not empty, there is a print quality problem and probably the print head needs to be cleaned.  Click here to see a detailed description of which follows the steps of troubleshooting problems of quality printing with the HP Photosmart 6510 e-all-in-one - B211a.

  We are currently assessing the implementation of Hyperic in a Solaris installation and would like to know the posibility to address a major concern (with Hyperic): HW monitoring. The client does not like Sun Management Center (a solar product that keeps a pretty poor track), BUT it provides good detailed HW 'low level' monitoring (fans, power supply voltage levels, status of hard drives, etc.).
  
  With Hyperic I know you can monitor CPU / memory / process, but I need to know if it is possible to have access to this information somehow (the simpler the better) using Hyperic? Is - configurable in the agent?

  Prtdiag is a very good way to check anything on the motherboard, and it is now on x 64 solaris 10 (I think u2 and above).  Unfortunately, it may be btwn very different versions / platforms / revisions of patch, but the exit status is consistent which is nice.

  For solaris monitoring in general, monitoring prtdiag and ADM are essential.  I think that most (if not all) disk failures are captured in ADM.  You can also monitor your disk suite (SVM, Veritas, ZFS, etc...)

  I'm trying to control a model LM-500 liquid cryogen level monitor (Discontinued).

  Its drivers are available online and I download and I'm launching the demo.

  When I try to run it I got the following error:

  The LM-500 is connected to my computer through RS232 serial.

  I don't know what could be the error. I would appreciate if you could give me an idea about it.

  That's because the new VISA open does not recognize the IO senior class, you must remove and replace it with the new type. Right-click on the resource of visa > Create > control.

  Select the rigtht COM port and try again

• HP Office Jet 6000 E609n Red & Blue lites flashing after installing new trolleys

  The subject little line about everything said.  After you have installed 3 new ink carts (made many times before) the ink Light Magenta and Cyan continue to Flash.  After printing a 'HP Deskjet general purpose Test-Print Page assessment', all 4 squares show own colors, perfectly informed, so I know that the ink carts are installed correctly, etc...  (Clicked in place)

  No matter what I try the lights continue to Flash.  Cannot get 'Toolbox' show, or else that could help.

  Any help appreciated.

  After a lot of digging around to ask questions and even back to where the ink carts have been recently purchased, the conclusion is that the ink level monitors do not work when using reloaded ink carts. (Yes, those carts to Office Max which I forgot to mention in original post.) HP designed their carts to original ink for 'single use '. So now the printer "think" the cyan and magenta ink carts are low causing the red & blue lights flashing.

  　

  Not long after this printer was purchased in January 2010 the Toolbox stop working, even if HP carts have always been used... until now. Recently I reinstalled the HP digital imaging software and the Toolbox works again. What's weird, is that the Toolbox shows low ink on the three colors, but only the red & blue lights blink. (The black wagon is still an original HP.)

  　

  Bottom line: next time I'll pay 3 extra bucks for carts HP ink cartridges so flashing lights don't drive us crazy. LOL either that or put a piece of tape insulation on them for now.

  Shortly, my hp printer assistant disappeared from my PC and there is nothing I can do to take back, it seems. I uninstalled, reinstalled the software and drivers of the printer, also restored my PC to months and months ago but nothing. • I have a HP Deskjet F2180 all-in-one

  I used color cartridges no replacement HP that worked fine and then the ink level monitor software etc. has failed, but it always printed OK.

  Then all of a sudden the ink cartridge blinking constantly. I tried a new cartridge to color of HP (22) and the problem persists.

  The error message State confirms that there is a problem with the Tricolor cartridge.

  Imprimeen B & W printer for a while but jobs now seem stuck in the print queue of the printer and often will not cancel!

  Cannot print alignment also page

  I've purged and reinstalled the software exactly as described in the manuals.

  JonJonDee, unfortunately using non hp or reloaded cartridges can cause permanent damage to your printer. It is mainly because HP formula ink specifically for printing and ink injection systems, other inks can cause a drying premature, coagulation, leaks and other hardware failures.

  I recommend you contact HP at 800-474-6836 (or through this portal if you are outside the United States: http://goo.gl/qHlWX) and the purchase of a replacement as well as authentic HP ink print head. That would be the best resolution in my opinion.

  We have an Officejet 5610 all-in-One that we bought when we always used Windows XP.  We bought a new computer with Windows 7 64 bit and I was wondering what are our options to acquire the appropriate software. We can order a replacement disc, if it is necessary, but wanted to know if there was another option first. Is it posible to replace my LCD LM215WF3 SLK1 with a different model of LM215WF3 of the screen, like for example SLA1 or TLA1? Or where can I get information on replacement screen LCD Dell?

  A. Yes, it is safe and sufficient not to lockout the pix. Infact, your console/telnet will not be affected, only the PDM with the above configuration in place.

  B. There are three levels different priv for PDM, monitor (level 3), read-only (level5) and admin (level 15). So level monitor is all that he needs to go to the Home Page and monitoring page. Here is the procedure:

  Turn on the AAA for PDM:

  -System Properties

  -Admin Pix

  Authentication/authorization

  -Check HTTP/PDM

  -Select service LOCAL group

  -Box ENBALE AUTHORIZATION

• Windows 7 - officejet pro 8000 wireless

  Hello. Not sure if this is the right forum or not. Last night, I upgraded my computer to Windows 7.  Opted to make an upgrade during the clean install.  Everything went well and worked fine except when I went to print.  The printer was here and now, but he says that it is offline.  Then I noticed that the driver has not been listed. I tried to run the software and even if it was installed it said it wasn't.  So I uninstalled.  Went to look for the drivers/software for Windows 7 64-bit.  Not only the tool diagnostic network.  So I tired to install Vista 64-bit and it says not compatible and would not install.  So I sent an email to technical support (tried to talk but nobody answered and I dropped).

  Did some reading in the forum and found the trick to go to printers in Windows (now called devices and printers for anyone interested) and clicked on add a new printer.  Selected network and he immediately found & installed a driver and it works.  Now I don't like that I have no additional everything I use software... BUT... I don't want the ink level monitor program.

  Hear about technical support saying that there is no drivers/software again (DUH!) and thank me for my patience.  Never answered the question of how do I check my ink level.

  Is there a way to get the installed ink level monitor?  Or should I expect?  Or is there another solution?

  Now computer of my husband is always under Vista and there is the monitor BUT, it also has a copy of the arrival of WIndows 7, which means when it upgrades, he will lose the ability to monitor the ink as well.

  Any suggestions?

  If you printer is connected via a wired network connection or wireless, you can check the ink on the built-in web server levels.  In any type of browser your printers IP address in the URL and press ENTER.  Setup easy access and all the information you could want.
