DBSTART start the database but the instance is not started...

Hello

I use dbstart and it works fine (version is 10g R2)

I run the command dbstart and it starts the database, even I added two lines to select the version name and databsae. everything is ok. But when he finished, I connect to sqlplus and run
sqlplus "/ as sysdba"
It gives me "connection to an instance inactive."
I check ORACLE_SID and ORACLE_HOME, everything is ok. I checkd the processes using the ps - to the | grep db_name and it shows the current Oracle process

What is the reason?

Thank you

/Home/opt/Oracle/product/10.2/Db_1/

Remove the slash and try again

export ORACLE_HOME=/home/opt/oracle/product/10.2/db_1
sqlplus / as sysdba

  • How do I know whether or not the instance is affected?

    Hello

    Automatic activity or screenflow how would I know if instance has been attributed to a participant or not?

    Thank you

    Hello

    Please find the code below and make the necessary changes in it.

    Write the following code in the workflow activity of automatic screen, but before that you must pass the instanceid as an argument to the screen flow.
    In the process as well as screen brand flow layer an instance instanceid as Intvariable.
    Make a variable instanceidArg of the argument as a Int in the process and screenflow layer and map accordingly so that it will take the instanceid of process layer to the layer of screen flow.

    Assign instanceid = id.number; in automatic business process layer but before the global interactive activity where you maped the screen flow.

    Write the following code in the automatic screen workflow activity.

    logMessage ("= instanceid =" + instanceid); InstanceID is the id of the instance that you had a layer of process.
    ProcessService ps;
    InstanceFilter instF = InstanceFilter();
    ps.connectTo (url: Fuego.Server.directoryURL, user: "", password: ""); In the studio the username and password will be the same
    logMessage ("Connected");

    instF.create(processService: ps);
    SearchScope = instF.searchScope (participantScope: ParticipantScope.ALL, statusScope: StatusScope.ONLY_INPROCESS);
    is the id of the process where you want to know the id of participant assighed
    instF.addAttributeTo (variable: VarDefinition.processid, comparator: Comparison.CONTAINS, value: "/" + "");
    instF.addAttributeTo (variable: VarDefinition.INSTANCE_NUMBER, comparator: Comparison.IS, value: Int (instanceid));
    Instances of [] Fuego.Papi.Instance = getInstancesByFilter (ps, filter: instF);

    In the runtime if assigned?: true which means that the instance is not assigned or false means assigned.

  • the examples are not not in the common dbca Wizard

    Hi all

    Oracle 10.2.0.2 on RHEL 5

    I have two db instances that are currently running. They are created with scripts for creating custom db not by dbca...

    Now I need to configure the control of EM database using dbca, but two instances do not appear in the wizard dbca.

    I can configure EM via emca CLI but a few trinkets on this problem...

    Any help please...

    ~ Thank you

    the two instances are not listed in the wizard dbca.

    You have configured/etc/oratab?

  • Oracle instance does not start

    Hello

    I set config the memory_max_target of the B instance, by change of 600M to 500M, the instance does not start.

    I tried to start instance by

    > sqlplus/nolog

    > conn / as sysdba

    > stop immediately

    > startup pfile = d: \testparam.ora

    then it turn to the starting instance A, may I know how to change the setting of 500 M to 600 M of the B instance memory?

    Thank you.

    Try simple:

    sqlplus / as sysdba

    create a pfile='/tmp/init.ora' of spfile;

    "exit";

    It should work even if the instance is down (and ASM). If you are on 12 c and your spfile is on ASM only you must specify the location of the spfile (as it appears initially in $ORACLE_HOME/dbs).

    This pfile file can be edited with the correct settings and you can recreate the spfile.

    Please HELP my COMMUNITY, I'm out of resources.

    Hi guys,.

    I found the problem.

    It was the system ORACLE_HOME variable which had 3 different paths and one of those who was referring an earlier instance of the db.

    After modification, I started the start lsnrctl successfully!

    Thx for your help everyone!

  • The instance is down, unavailable listener but database is running.

    I read in a similar position in the hope that I can fix this on my own but so far... no joy.

    Until recently the system responds correctly, statement that all components work properly. Recently, I've recreated a database user that has been used by our Java application to access via OIC, since then OEM reported that the Instance is down and the listner is not available. Reboot proceeds normally and does state that this anomaly after a period of time, I am able to connect via Sqlplus and our Java application successfully.

    The startup.log and listener.log displays normal behavior which indicates that the database starts successfully.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you
    Todd

    If you need to re-create the database, you must run EMCA to reconfigure the OEM

    EMCA - deconfig dbcontrol db-rest drop
    EMCA - config dbcontrol db-rest create
    or

    EMCA - deconfig dbcontrol db
    EMCA - config dbcontrol db-rest recreate

  • Listener (and the database instance) does not start automatically: ORA-12514: TNS:listener does not currently of service requested in connect descriptor

    Hi all... I am a newbie with oracle database.,.

    I have the problem of monitoring:

    I installed Oracle Database 11 g R2 XE on my CentOS 6.5 guest operating system.

    I changed the host name in my CentOS so (where installed oracle 11g R2 XE) after the installation was completed successfully.

    Installation-) before and during the hostname is localhost.

    (-) After the installation, I changed the host name in VMCentOS

    From the moment where I changed the host name, nothing starts automatically. In particular, the listener and the database instance does not start automatically.

    When I start the listener manually and I try to connect to the instance of database with SQLPLUS I get this error:

    ORA-12514: TNS:listener is not currently of service requested in connect descriptor

    I think that the problem is due host name changed because I have to test and debug the object, re-installed a machine virtual operating system CentOS, re-installed oracle database 11 g and I do not have this problem. The database instance and the listener starts automatically!

    Can someone tell me if, maybe, the problem is with the host has changed? ... and why?

    P.S.: After changing the hostname I also modified the listener.ora and the tnsnames.ora by changing the HOST with the correct host name.

    Hello

    It seems that you don't install Oracle Database Express Edition (XE). If you post this question in the wrong forum.

    When you install EA or there is no script that starts the database at startup.

    If you wish, you can create by yourself. For example search for instructions to Google how to create script.

    Kind regards

    Looking lsnrctl status, I don't see that LISTENER_host name on the nodes, has something to do with it?

    The cluster has been newly installed and works fine otherwise.

    Hello

    you have defined a REMOTE_LISTENER parameter in the database which can be solved with the TNSNAMES.ora uses the clusterware.

    Then 2 possibilities:

    (a.) your tnsnames.ora to the dbhome contains no entry of the LISTENERS_BOPA.
    (b) you use a tnsnames.ora different due to the use of the TNS_ADMIN variable. It's probably settled in the sqlplus environment, but not on the level of database/instance when clusterware tries to start.

    Set it with:
    setenv srvctl database d t ' "TNS_ADMIN =".

    or perhaps at the level of the instance (instance of setenv srvctl - but I'm not sure it exists.) Sorry no atm 11.1 cluster to check).

    Concerning
    Sebastian

  • Start the clusterware (CRS) without starting the instance in a node

    version is > 11.2.0.1
    operating system: Solaris 5.10

    Using
    #$GRID_HOME/bin/crsctl start crs
    I can start the CRS in a node. But I don't want to start the instance in this node. I just want to start the clusterware and ASM instance in this node.
    No idea how I can do this?

    Haven't seen this option in the Help menu for crsctl
    # ./crsctl -h
    Usage: crsctl add       - add a resource, type or other entity
           crsctl backup    - back up voting disk for CSS
           crsctl check     - check a service, resource or other entity
           crsctl config    - output autostart configuration
           crsctl debug     - obtain or modify debug state
           crsctl delete    - delete a resource, type or other entity
           crsctl disable   - disable autostart
           crsctl discover  - discover DHCP server
           crsctl enable    - enable autostart
           crsctl get       - get an entity value
           crsctl getperm   - get entity permissions
           crsctl lsmodules - list debug modules
           crsctl modify    - modify a resource, type or other entity
           crsctl query     - query service state
           crsctl pin       - Pin the nodes in the nodelist
           crsctl relocate  - relocate a resource, server or other entity
           crsctl replace   - replaces the location of voting files
           crsctl release   - release a DHCP lease
           crsctl request   - request a DHCP lease
           crsctl setperm   - set entity permissions
           crsctl set       - set an entity value
           crsctl start     - start a resource, server or other entity
           crsctl status    - get status of a resource or other entity
           crsctl stop      - stop a resource, server or other entity
           crsctl unpin     - unpin the nodes in the nodelist
           crsctl unset     - unset a entity value, restoring its default

    Hello

    You cannot give this information directly at the start of clusterware.
    This option is to disable the resources, you do not want to start before running the node.
    Note: You can do it from another node, to disable the startup on the node that you want to start:

    In general, you can do this with
    Disable srvctl $

    The correct syntax depends on the type of management you used.
    Managed political use of databases:

    srvctl disable the d - n database

    Administrator management databases:

    srvctl disable instance d -i "".

    1. Thank you.

    you experience serious problem... because usually it works very well.

    Try the following:

    SQL > shutdown immediate;

    SQL > bootable media.

    SQL > alter flashback database;

    SQL > alter database backup controlfile to trace noresetlogs;

    SQL > shutdown immediate;

    go to the trace file generated from running (alter database backup controlfile to trace noresetlogs ;)

    location of the trace file is located in the query:

    SQL > select * from v$ diag_info;

    It will contain the script with the SQL commands, you can rename the file with the extension ".sql".

    SQL > startup nomount

    SQL > @trace_file. SQL

    SQL > restore database;

    SQL > alter database open;

    So basically you are going to recreate the files of control again...
