Judging strictly from your post it looks like you have too many malware scanners installed which can decrease your overall protection in the end.

No matter what scanners you used, please follow the instructions below. Reply back with the results and include a list of all malware/antivirus scanners software that are currently installed on your computer.

Restart the computer in Safe Mode with network. Click HERE. Download Malwarebytes. Update Malwarebytes and perform a scan.  Choose whether to remove anything found. Once completed click HERE and download Superantispyware Portable. Perform a quick scan again remove anything found.

  • Vista - true or false security alert?

All of a sudden I'm getting pop ups saying Vista Security Alert, etc... I have both the shield of the normal color of four in the bin AND red with an X on it. If I go to the control panel-Security Center, etc...

When I click on "change the way Security Center alerts me." I get another window, but all options are ghosts. It also says 'Vista Security - unregistered Version'. The only way apparently to get rid of it is to buy the Vista security. I've had this computer for nine months, and this is the first problem like this.

    Any advice? Thanks in advance.

Fake. Your system is infected with a rogue security program. It's called "thugs" because he pretended to be a good guy but is really bad. Don't pay them!

These can work for you, and all can be good. However, in many cases the computer will also infected with other horses of Trojan and protected by a rootkit. If your machine is one of these cases, either the interactive assistance to one of the specialty forums listed in the link below, OR take your machine to a professional on the local computer OR backup your data and do a clean install of Windows. It's your choice. I do not recommend using BigComputerStore/GeekSquad types of places.

  • Updated for Firefox 36.0 now get Windows Security Alert

    Hello

    Updated for firefox 36.0 24/02/15
Now to get a Windows security alert
Windows Firewall has blocked some features of this program.
    Name: Firefox
    Publisher: Mozilla Corporation
    Path: C:\program files (x 86) \mozilla firefox\firefox.exe
Private networks is enabled and grayed out.
Public networks box is not checked and ask to allow access.

When I look at the programs allowed through firewall it shows Firefox 2 programs.
    Firefox---(la case est décochée)
    Firefox C:\program files (x 86) \Mozilla Firefox)---(case cochée)

    Also on 24/02/15

When I started the computer 25/02/15 the Windows security alert appeared.

I have not allowed access to Windows Security Alert window.

Why this security alert Windows has been published?

The Windows security alert is the only issue.
Firefox works normally. He never does not.
I have internet access on my private network.

    I use Classic theme restaurateur.
What's interesting after clicking on menu + customize, I moved the icon Hello in the box additional tools and features.

    When updating to 36.0 FF
    Hello icon brought itself automatically.

I just clicked Cancel on the dialog box and the Windows security alert went away.
Everything that Firefox still seems to work fine.

If she comes back, I will inform this thread.

    Thanks,

-What version of the operating system are you using?

For the same, visit the following link:

-What, exactly, is a transcript of the error message?

The message you receive is not the error message and it is related to the update of Windows.

I'm guessing that you're referring to a problem involving the Security Center that happens sometimes after update silent through updates of Windows to the new version of MSE... but it is also sometimes occurring after the updates of Windows 'monthly '.  Usually, but not always the problem occurs on computers running XP.

If the MSE icon is green then you should be protected and cannot ignore this Security Center warning. The problem resolves after a few days.   I do not pretend you disable the protection in real time on MSE, disable Security Center, restart the computer and then turn everything back on and restart once more... some users report this sequence fixed the problem.

  • Security alert indicates the auto update turned off; Control Panel says it's. Huh?

Every time I restart Windows XP Professional, I get a security alert saying that the automatic updates of windows must be activated. When I ask that it be lit, the answer is that it can't: go to control panel. When I go into the Control Panel, it says that the automatic updates is already turned on. When I try to check my status update, I get no results. I was not asked by Windows if we can download any type of update for several months. I have to be sure that my system is up to date and that automatic updates is enabled and functional. Thank you.

I have windows Vista and my laptop does the same thing. After what seemed like hours of trying everything suggested, I decided to clear out all temporary files (again), turn off and unplug the laptop and removed the battery and wait 10 minutes.  After 10 minutes, I've replaced the battery, plugged in and restarted my laptop.  After all, was up and running, I tried Windows update again, and my laptop updated with NO PROBLEM.
