Dead pixels on the screen of the Qosmio G series

I found four dead on my screen pixels. What can I do? is there a program to repair my LCD?
Should I take my laptop to the closest technical service for repair?

Thank you. Good bye

You have a very low chance that will replace the screen of laptop computers.
If only a pixel is dead, you won't get an Exchange!

I found this document useful knowledge of the Toshiba which explains this issue:

I hope I could bring a precision!

Hello 3 days ago (20 July), I bought this laptop and I have 2 questions: I have a dead pixel (red color) on the LCD screen, I tried to use the java applet:
http://www.JScreenFix.com/applet.php?width=1366&height=768 to remove it, but to no avail. I looked at your table of replacemente lcd but it didn't understand because my resolution was not on it. So my question is: how many pixels I must have because I complain?

Another question, windows 7 permanently "think" my DVD player is a mountable/no mountable option, which means that I can take it apart like a USB pen... no doubt I am lack of pilots... but I don't know which ones that...

And another little question: How can I increase my sound on this laptop? I'm a little unhappy with the sound quality, my previous laptop (of the older generation) had a better sound quality...

Thank you for you time :=)

    Hello

    > So my question is: how many pixels I must have because I complain?

More than that, you can read under
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/KB0/TSB9502LZ0000R01.htm
    http://APS2.toshiba-tro.de/KB0/TSB5400ZD0002R01.htm

To determine the number of pixels, you can use a program like, dead pixel tester.

    > Another question, windows 7 permanently "think" that my DVD drive is a mountable/no mountable option

Perhaps, you must delete the upper/lower filters:

    > And another small question: How can I increase my sound on this laptop?

If the sound at high volume settings and it is still not enough, there is nothing to do. of course, you can install the most powerful speakers or use external one. You should try to update a sound card driver, I doubt, however, it helps you to:

  • Pink vertical line in the center of the screen on the Qosmio G series

Seems to be the LCD hardware problem as line is not there if the external monitor used. It's the second LCD for this device that is 2.5 years, and that the heat sink problem inherent in the original design of this PC has reportedly been fixed. Speakers begin to produce comments if the volume at least halfway or more, probably because of earlier heat sink problem. In any case, the position of Toshiba is they fixed twice for 'free', and my position is that a cell phone $3,800 2.5 - year-old, should have not yet set.

My question is (and I couldn't get a straight answer from the Toshiba customer support person I just spoke with): how to order a new LCD screen for a Qosmio G15 - Toshiba R, and how much it will cost? I don't want to know about repair centers, because there aren't all in a hundred miles of me, and I'm not interested in sending my laptop to an another techno in this or any other State. I just want the game sent to me, as I am qualified full install it even if I'm no longer in the business. Will someone, preferably someone who speaks English, German, or Spanish, or even French, provide me with a simple answer to my two very simple questions. Thank you.

    Hello

I'm sorry that you had so bad experience with your machine, I had a lot of probs with my tecra S4 also, but they fixed no problem. I think it has something with the repair center to do, where you´re, giving your machine for repair.

My machine was in 3 service centers (!), and only the last two have been able to solve my problem. (They were two separate probs, one of them was my fault--> chianti on my keyboard :()

So, if you need a new panel you must not place your order to toshiba. You can also order a new Panel or used in some onlineshops spare parts.

I Don t know if you've ever watched, it seems you didn t, otherwise won´t you write here.
It would be interesting what machine you have exactly, maybe I can help you find a new Panel for a specific price ;)

Companion of Don t to worry, there are solutions for everything.

    Have a nice weekend

  • Place dark semi transparent on the LCD on the Qosmio G series

I tried to clean the LCD screen using hardware screen cleaner, but this place will not simply disappear. It's like it's the other side of the glass...

Normally, I will not notice the place, I use a dark background. But now that I discovered the place, it's really annoying!

Anyone has an idea on how to remove it?

First of all, it would be very interesting to know what laptop you have exactly!

Second, I assume you are talking about dead pixel.

    These pixels can be eliminated!
In this case only the replacement of the screen could contribute to solving the problem you but there are some restrictions and not every screen can be replaced.

Please see this FAQ from Toshiba for more details:

    Hi friend

It's definitely a hardware failure. The question is:

What is the screen, the display cable or the motherboard.

You know that you will have to pay for it, but it s on you if you do not want to spend the money for it or just sell it on Ebay and get another machine.

If I were you I contact some store or a repair service center and ask them a health check of equipment, so you can locate the defective part.

    Welcome them

P.S.: If you need a link to the closest match. Authorized service center then click on [HERE: http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/cgi-bin/ToshibaCSG/download_whitepaper.jsp?service=EU&WHITEPAPER_ID=0 000000871].

  • Sectors defective HARD drive on the Qosmio F60 series

    Hello

For about the last 6 months, I struggled to determine what was causing crashes repeated on slowdown on my Qosmio F60, which was aged under 2 months.

Unfortunately I am currently not in the country of purchase and don't have an international warranty. I had to reinstall the entire operating system and all the software used (think the or not!) more than 6 times.

Finally, I installed Norton Ghost 15.0 to be able to avoid reinstalling again and back up important data. When you use Norton Ghost I had to run chkdsk /r on the hard drive and now the real problem surfaced.

This machine had a hard drive which behaved as if it was very old. Continous bad sectors where being generated. Which means that I had to replace the so-called new hard drive.

What I want now is the specifications for the internal hard drive. for Qosmio F60 14 R machines. Because I don't have a domestic guarantees, I would rather replace the drive myself, than to hire a service charge.

    Concerning

    Hello
The new generation of mobile phones are supported SATA drives.
You can buy HARD drive 2.5 SATA.

By the way: the Drive Fitness Test Utility is quite nice freeware software that allows you to run diagnostic tests. You can use it to test the fitness of the HARD drive

    Hello

don't have bluetooth worked before or are you sure that BT is physically installed in your machine?
On the DVD, you can eject manually by taking a paperclip updated the (bend) until you're all right and you will find a small hole on the cover of the DVD player. Take the paperclip and push it gently into the hole, with this technique, you can manually open the drive. Maybe the reader gets just stuck because of an error operating system or something else...

  • Dead pixel blackBerry Smartphones and the problem with the case of my BlackBerry 9780

    Hello world

Recently, I bought a BlackBerry 9780 by Vodafone Spain (23 December) and I found a few problems.

One of them is the presence of a dead pixel in the upper right and the feeling of the case a little weak in the left side that, when you touch it you can feel it creaks a bit.

I would like to know if the warranty of BlackBerry or Vodafone Spain will cover this problem or if some of the new users of this model of BlackBerry noticied some of these problems and knows how to solve this problem.

Sorry if they have problems with spelling. My usual language is Spanish .

    Thank you very much.

A dead pixel is a hardware fault, and there is no miracle for her.

Check if you can get a replacement.

Sometimes the screen freezes, it turns black and after 2-3 seconds, he returned. And a notification appears at the bottom right that saying "Nvidia driver has stopped working and recovered 187,98'."

    * 3.* problem
I have a dead pixel on the top right of the screen. It looks like red on a white background. (tried trouble programs and massage screen)

Is it possible to solve these problems? I trust mark 'Toshiba', but I don't know if I bought another laptop I would not encounter these problems.

    Hello
I have also this problem such as a freezing of the computer and the notification "driver Nvidia has stopped working". ". It's because of the display driver and we can nothing but just wait when Toshiba will broadcast a new, improved driver.
That it was a dead pixel, you can read about it here

    http://www.WikiHow.com/fix-a-stuck-pixel-on-an-LCD-monitor

It is for Lcd screens, but can also be applied to the display of the laptop

  • Qosmio G50 series inactive Daniel - does that mean any service for it?

    What happened to them?

    quote
We're sorry. The Qosmio G50 Series is no longer available in most retail stores,
online retailers, dealers or ToshibaDirect.com. Words

Just to let you know that I am a user of myself, and if you ask me now, I'm angry, why is this?

1: my laptop leaves blocking down, once I played games upscale only times, very well on the low end, but don't forget not the Geforce 9600 is supposed to play as high-end games.
I noticed on the back of that laptop heat is hot, know that I don't know what is the cause, but maybe fans are old?

2:will Toshiba offer some services on this laptop just because its inactive?

3: what does mean inactive anyway?

4:will still able to solve this problem? I think I might have the same problem as these guys on this thread.

I have to say one more thing, even if she has problems, I really appreciate the laptop, I just pray and hope it can be fixed, because I don't want to cry that I wasted my money on this kind of thing, maybe this will be my last Toshiba laptop if they continue like this, I understand that this is a forum eupore , but I like a North American buyer I have problems, good thing there are forums for such problems like these.

I hope some of you can answer my questions.

    Hello Leone

The text you posted has nothing to do with the service. If this model of laptop will not be offered for sale it doesn't automatically mean that there are no more service.

If you have a serious problem with your Qosmio laptop, please contact nearest authorized Toshiba service provider and they will help you fix it. No problem at all.
Believe me there is no reason to panic.

  • Qosmio F50 series contains RAID controller?

    Hello

I am looking for a new computer laptop Toshiba and understood on this forum that Satellite P300 series does not have a RAID controller :-(
To make it short: did the series Qosmio F50 got a RAID Controller? Is it possible to rotate the 2 HDD in RAID 0?

    Hello

    > Qosmio F50 series you have a RAID controller?

No, as I know the Qosmio F50 series doesn t supports the RAID controller.
It supports a simple SATA controller but not the RAID and so you cannot use RAID-0.

    Good bye

  • Qosmio G30 pink pixels on the screen - what can I try next?

I have a qosmio G30 on the white parts of the screen were pink pixel in them as well as purple pink pixels around parts.

In reading the various posts, I have eliminated the graphics chip/card that I can get a perfect image on an external display. The laptop is out of warranty and also out of the extra year for graphics problems, so I tried to fix it myself. I tried all of the solutions below and none have worked.

I wonder if anyone could give me any other things to try.

I've updated the BIOS and the display driver - no change.
I then replaced the motherboard to the LCD connection with a new cable - no change.

And finally, I have replaced the LCD screen with a new - again no change.

-Always works fine on an external monitor.

Any ideas or suggestions would be very appreciated.

    Thank you very much

    Hello

I think you're talking about dead pixels.
    Would this be possible?

The problem of dead pixels has nothing to do with the graphics card but it s a display problem.
So I was wondering why this problem persists after the LCD has been replaced

Maybe a Toshiba laptop technician should verify and test parts of the hardware to make sure what part could be the problem exactly

  • Satellite M50-226: dead Pixel-> is it possible to replace the screen

    Hello!

My Satellite M50 226 gets more and more Pixelerrors. First of all, he didn't. All of a sudden 2 or 3 dead Pixels one moment there are 3 News (6 more) Pixelerrors.

I have a Toshiba paper that says I have a warranty of Pixelerror 3. Where should I send the computer? Who do I call?
    AND: How long it takes?

    Kind regards
    Steffen Schreyer

Well, what to say the warranty could cover the replacement of the screen, but it depends on the amount of pixels and resolution.

Found several threads on the same topic. You will also find the official documents from Toshiba and statements on issues such as:

  • Qosmio G20-117: bad pixels on the screen and the CD rom does not work

    Hello

I have a problem with the computer hardware. I got a Qosmio G20-117 and you have a problem with the cdrom and the screen. Got bad pixels on the screen, and cdrom does not work. I live in the United Kingdom, so I tried signing up to them to choose the computer before the computer is out of warranty.

Whenever I register, it says sorry, an unexpected error has occurred, please try again later. I have tried at least 20 times since yesterday and it doesn't seem to work. I have them even called and they told me, the service is stopped and will be fixed this morning but yet nothing works.

    Any solution?

    Hello

If you want to contact Toshiba service partner in your country then why you don't call them?
Toshiba page you will find the database with all service providers in the world.
    http://www.CSD.Toshiba.com/cgi-bin/TAIS/Su/su_gaspLocator.jsp?PF=true

I don't think that you need to register something apart from the serial number of your laptop. But in my opinion this could also be done at the point of service.
