Debug peoplecode in the application package

Dear Sir

Does anyone have an idea on how to debug the peoplecode that is triggered by the online page in the application package?

Thank you
Dennis

This how you enable PSDBGSRV...

For PeopleSoft - PeopleCode 3-tier of debugging, use PSADMIN to make sure that the following settings are set.

(1) the appropriate PSDBGSRV listening Port is specified in the section PeopleCode PSADMIN debugger.

For example: values for config section - PeopleCode debugger
PSDBGSRV = 9500 listening port

(2) at least two processes PSAPPSRV configured for a start in the field with the parameter of timeout set to 0 (zero) Service.

The minimum requirements for debugging PeopleCode are:
-Two (2) PSAPPSRV server processes configured for a start in the field.
-The value of period of Service in the PSAPPSRV configuration section must be set to zero (0).

The following example shows a correctly configured for debugging PeopleCode PSAPPSRV sample section:
Values for config section - PSAPPSRV
Instances of min = 2
Instances of max = 2
Service timeout = 0
Recycle the Count = 0
Licensing failures Consec Service = 0
The size of the extraction of max = 5000

(3) enter y for Yes at the prompt "Activate Server PSDBGSRV process" at the end of the PSADMIN interface.

After you have specified your settings using PSADMIN prompted a series of options, such as the implementation of e-mail to jolt server process and so on. When you are prompted to activate the PSDBGSRV, enter Y. The default development model is Y.

After you have enabled it, you can come to the application designer, open your code, and then try to debug...

  • Message says: do not launch the application from the Application package

When I pulled any items in my folder of applications today, the screen came up with three options, organizer, Publisher of Photo and Video Editor.  I just wanted to edit a file, but whenever I tried to click on items, I got an error message saying "Please do not run this application from this application package. In contrast, please launch Adobe Photoshop elements 13 & Adobe Premiere elements 13 in your Applications folder. "That's exactly how I started the program, so it doesn't make much sense.  What I'm missing here?

    1. because everything is in the camera, it's the author. If a newer version of something which depends VAMI is updated, it will use the updated. Later versions of Studio tried to do a little better by forcing VAMI look in/opt/vmware/lib first for a library, but with orders, it will use what is in the system.

    2. well, not really, except that VAMI has been tested with versions by default in iso specified.

3 Yum says that there are several package repositories: iso, the VAMI directory and all directories listed in the Application packages drop box on the Application tab. It does not resemble the site of the provider of the OS. Yum will follow dependencies listed in these packages and install the other who is listed.

  • How to develop and test the application mobile flex without the real device?

I'm trying to read some information about it, but decided to ask also here.

I have a project that has a company wants to grow me, it's for iPad. That's ok I am with Flex and the framework for web development, but not for mobile. Why? Because I have no idea how to test my application. I know generation ago it sort of the desktop version of the application with the change of the "back" button on the orientation stuff, but how do I know my application will look and work exactly the same (I mean NOT performance here). I mean you know how every android or iOS device have their native keyboard or native video player for example and I have only in the debug version of the application.

The question is how to develop this application based on the desktop emulator or anything and then hope that my app looks and works on a device, as it should... Of course I can't afford to buy all the devices it is just to be able to test on it if necessary? So, how do you, how to test how my iPad app works on a device without a? I know I should get a licence from iOS dev to be able to package the app for iOS, but it's $ 99 per year or something like that I can handle, but how to test my application without having to buy the darn device? Are there any emulator for iPad or something like that I know what my customers will see when they get the application? One of my friends told me that the mac os x use the developers a tool - cause some kit of dev who has emulators for all iOS devices and you can build and test there immediately and that you can simulate virtually any combination of key for example, and he said he's working and seems to 1:1 as the real device but he didn't know if can I export an AIR application and try it like this, he only knew for app written in native code.

If someone can just tell me how should I do this? Should I buy a mac os x computer laptop to test because I am a user of windows 7, or perhaps create a mac os x virtual machine and tests out there or maybe the only option is to actually buy the device... that would be terrible for a freelancer...

I hope someone can save the day here! Thank you.

Since the AIR for iOS applications are compiled to ARM code you will not be able to run on iOS emulators running on Mac OSX.

You can do a very simple test with the "Simulator" built into Flash Builder, but it is not much more than a window to AIR with a window size that matches the resolution of the selected iOS device.  When running in the simulator of the application is not compiled to ARM code so it will take a completely different code path than what will be the final release of iOS.

Ultimately if you are developing for iOS with AIR nothing but for tests on real iOS devices.

    Hi Chandra,

When you create your database, you this place in the application package or you use the applicationStorageDirectory?  I think that should work in the repository, it would be problematic if you're using a location such as your application directory (or any place under Program Files) because this would require elevated privileges.

    Hello

I am able to repro the bug, if I change the 'DEMAND' while packing the apk and change it to "somedirectory/helloworld.apk' to 'helloworld.apk '. So a quick solution would be to remove all path and do simple APPLICATION parameter value 'helloworld.apk' when packing with - arch argument.

Also, there is a known issue with FB4.7 that it will fail to install the APK for Android device when they are packed with the option Ark on export Release version. So always choose option 'Keep bin-release-temp file' that will keep the APK even if FB fails to install/launch of the device.

Original title: uninstall the program... Error message says: this patch package could not be opened.  Verify that the patch package exists and that you can access it, or contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid Windows Installer patch package__

I'm trying to uninstall Microsoft Silverlight. I used Windows Installer found in the control panel to delete, however, when I try to remove the program I get the error 'this patch package could not be opened.  Verify that the patch package exists and that you can access it, or contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid Windows Installer patch package.'

The program itself shows is no longer in my program list, and when I visit the Silverlight Web site may not detect an existing version on my system. But when I try to download the latest version, that he says could not be installed because I need to remove the previous version first... I'm going in circles and get no where... I downloaded Revo Uninstaller Pro but it also had no effect... I'm stuck!

The author information is located in the bar - descriptor.xml in the tab "General". But the information must be defined automatically. In addition, you must install the token debug on your device.

If everything is configured properly there is only one problem that happened to me. I had several chips debugging Momentics. I had to remove all chips debugging and leave alone the I want to use. Perhaps, you have also several debugging chips installed in Momentics. This seems to be a bug in Momentics who can't handle several chips debugging.

  • Change the layout on the rotation, debugging statements and replacement of the application - 9530

I'm writing an application of this provision completely changes when the device is rotated (adds and deletes fields). I have a custom handler that I'm writing, my first attempt was to use the width and height of sublayout parameters to guess if I was horizontal or vertical and add buttons accordingly. This allows the initial page layout work perfectly. However, as soon as I rotate the screen, (which would be to add a touch more for sublayout, as a test), it causes the Simulator to freeze. When I run it on a physical device, it does not freeze, but it stops at the screen drawing completely.

Two auxiliary questions: is it possible to print statements to debug somewhere on the Simulator? I had no luck. Also, is there an alternative to restart the Simulator to try a new version of an application? They are not invasive, I see no need to restart

    Thank you!

System.out.println () statements will send their output to your debug window in the Simulator. You can also view the latter on the device if you attach the USB cable and select Debug / home to / device in the JDE.

Always restart the sim card when you change or add a program.

I'm scratching my head trying to understand what you're trying to do with the field, and how to do it. The first thought that comes to me is this: If you are feeling the change the layout by substituting a method of the screen, it's probably be reached during page layout, which is not an appropriate framework to add or remove fields. Addition of a field for the provision would put the UI in a thread loop, probably having for result a lock-up or a stack overflow, since the process of adding the field causes the Manager screen to rearrange the display.

Can you be more specific? Maybe a snippit of code?

No you don't need to sign in order to qualify. You will need to sign it later so that you can actually so people can actually buy/download your application.

  • 881 failure: The Application author does not match debug author token

Hey guys, I'm a newbie at software development and don't know anything about the other languages except HTML and CSS so I decided to try the apps program to see how it works and if it's the right think for me. I received my 'key' for the playbook and generated and download the Debug Token. My first idea was to put the Hello World app (that I copied on the BB site) on my playbook to see if everything works, but every time I try to download the app, I get "the application failure 881 author does not debug author token.

I have tried a few troubleshooting myself (make another Debug Token, adding the and a blackbery - tablet.xml with these fields in the config.xml file and) and still nothing. Do you know the guy what is happening and what should I do to solve this problem, so I can download my apps on my playbook?

    Thank you

There is an easier way... and maybe just an alternative.  I had this problem before and the reminder to change the bbwp.properties file to run.

For more information, see this page:

    https://developer.BlackBerry.com/HTML5/documentation/runnning_unsigned_apps_using_a_debug_token_1866...

    Copied from this page:

    For PlayBook OS applications

    1. In the SDK BlackBerry WebWorks for BlackBerry Tablet OS installation folder, navigate to thebbwp\bin folder.
    2. Using a text editor, open the bbwp.properties file.
    3. Add the path to the file to debug token using the debug_token > tags.
      path to debug token file

Example: file bbwp.properties with the path to the file debug token

    -quiet
    C:\Program Files\Research In Motion\BlackBerry WebWorks SDK for TabletOS 2.1.0\jre
    AirAppTemplates
    AirAppTemplates
    C:\Program Files\Research In Motion\BlackBerry WebWorks SDK for TabletOS 2.1.0\bbwp\blackberry-tablet-sdk
    ext
    C:\my_debug_token.bar

You can now load your app on a debug-enabled BlackBerry device without having to sign
