Debugging a library

I have a workspace with the 3 following projects:

Library

Tests

GUI

The tests only affects the library.  This is a BB project whose type is set to "library".

All my tests seem to be working and pressing the code.  If debug tests using JUnit, I can intervene for a function in my library, see my variables and all the benefits of normal debugging.

I created the GUI and included the library in the path of the generation of the required projects.

The problem that I try to debug the library via the GUI on the Simulator.  When I debug the application I can find my App quite easily.  Right now it's a single button that makes a simple call in the library.

For example, something like:

Problem boiled down to compile against jdk 1.6 and the compiler tries to make a StringBuilder backstage.

Compilation target changed to 1.4 and everything worked fine.

  • Impossible to debug a library project

    I have programmed a Blackberry CLDC project relying on two Blackberry library projects included in the application through the Eclipse Java Build Path project. When I start the app in the Blackberry Simulator, I am able to debug the code of one of the two projects of library, but not the other. Breakpoints in the library are ignored, and if I try to enter this library method calls, the debugging process freezes.

    It all works very well with the other library.

    Someone has encountered this or knows how to solve?

    I'm programming with the Blackberry Eclipse Plugin under the component pack 4.3.0.13

    I solved the problem: I had renamed the library sooner, while the Simulator had two containnig different cod files the same class files. This seems to have led to the problem described. I reinstalled the Simulator and took care that only the current cod files have been deployed in it, and now it works.

  • 5154 digitizer for fpga data

    I am trying to stream as quickly as possible from the to a FlexRIO 7966 5154 digitizer.  From the example "NISCOPE fetch Forever" in LV2012, I can implement the acquisition on 5154 @ 40MS/s, 50 k of data I8 piece and the graphical indicator seems to keep well indefinitely.

    I tried then write data to an FPGA - FIFO target host, and it chokes.  With FIFO write the method inside the loop of 5154 fetch the 5154 ends in error because of the "overwhelming memory" (it fills its on-board memory until the HOST is reading).   With FIFO writing in a parallel consumer (queue conduit) loop, the queue overflows just because he can't write that as fast as the 5154 FIFO provides samples in the queue.   What Miss me?  The 5154 uses a PCI DMA bus (I think), so I think that if he could hold, the host to the FPGA PCIe bus must be capable.

    There is another factor, that I have not taken into account?   Sorry I can't provide the VI since the installation of the LV is on a PC not connected to the network.  Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated.

    Thank you

    Mark Taylor

    For future reference, I ended up resolving this by moving the implementation on the actual FPGA.   I had run in mode "on the development computer with i/o simulated" and no matter what I did with the start-up or sizing FIFO sequence, it just doesn't work.

    After compiling and running on the FPGA, all right.  Maybe it's the basic knowledge, in fact I remember somewhere in my travels reading that don't accurately represent timing problems when running to the old fashion, but LV FPGA has kind of us painted into a corner with the compromise of simulation/compilation.  They do not include Modelsim, which is the only tool that enables co-simulation do functional and verification of the timing set (we Questa, unfortunately) and independent VHDL simulation captures the interaction host with precision (and software processing/timing is impossible to quantify!).  In my situation, the only way to operate at speed is in the FPGA, but then I can't see all of the things that I need to see to debug... ARGH!

    Additional links and resources always will welcome (on debugging of FPGA LV and design in general).  I found a couple of things below, which was somewhat useful:

    "NEITHER powerful LabVIEW FPGA Developer's Guide"

    http://www.NI.com/Tutorial/14600/en/

    I found a link to an "FPGA Debug Reference Library": http://www.ni.com/example/31067/en/, but my installation does not seem to have this available.

    And it looks like 2013 may add functionality to help alleviate some of this via the node of the execution of office referred here to the 'Test and debug LabVIEW FPGA Code'

    Please help big appriciation.

    Thank you

    Siddarth.

    OK, the solution is quite "simple" then.
    Each string that can contain XML reserved characters must be escaped before concatenating XML tags.

    I see that the code has already some replace(column_name, '&', ''), perhaps that was added in the same goal, but a bad solution.

    A better solution would be to use the SQL/XML functions, but it would mean that the refactoring cursors.
    Therefore, an intermediate solution (if you want to keep '&' characters in the output) is to escape the chain properly.

    For example, in the GET_PROJECTS cursor:

    CURSOR get_projects ( p_customer_id            IN    NUMBER
                        , p_bu_vertical            IN    VARCHAR2
                        , p_line_of_business    IN    VARCHAR2
                       -- , p_period_set_name        IN    VARCHAR2
                        , p_gl_period_from        IN    VARCHAR2
                        , p_gl_period_to        IN    VARCHAR2
                        , p_project_id_FROM        IN    NUMBER
                        , p_project_id_to        IN    NUMBER
                        , p_organization_name  IN    VARCHAR2
                        ) IS
    SELECT DISTINCT   replace(pa.name, '&','') project_name
         ,pa.project_id
         , utl_i18n.escape_reference(pa.segment1) as project_number   --< Here
         , pa.project_currency_code
         , hp.party_id
    ...

    This should solve the problem with the CP_PROJECT tag.
    Repeat on the other columns if necessary.

  • PDF reports and forms11g, Weblogic, call report form, parameters

    Hi all.
    I had trouble putting in reports 11 g in pdf format. This is how I solve it.
    I hope to help someone of you and also anyoe can correct me if Im wrong.

    1. I installed a configured server weblogic 10.3.3, also of forms, reports, portal, discoverer 11.1.1.3.0 and database 11.2

    2. I have recompiled my forms and reports 10 gr 2 on 11 g, also the libraries of the pll.

    3. that's what I call the report of my form, I add settings to a list of settings called PL, and then invoke the prucedure rp2rro located in the library of rp2rrp.pl:

    PL: = create_parameter_list (TDATA);
    add_parameter (PL, 'PARAMFORM', TEXT_PARAMETER, 'NO');
    add_parameter (PL, 'ORIENTATION', TEXT_PARAMETER, 'PORTRAIT');
    add_parameter(PL,'EMPRESA',TEXT_PARAMETER,:global.Company);
    add_parameter(PL,'NB_EMPRESA',TEXT_PARAMETER,:global.CompanyName);
    add_parameter (PL, 'DESFORMAT', TEXT_PARAMETER,: CG$ CTRL.) DESFORMAT);
    rp2rro. SETREPORTSSERVER(:GLOBAL.) REPORTSERVER);
    add_parameter (PL, 'SESSION', TEXT_PARAMETER, to_char (SESION));
    Add_Parameter (pl, 'DESTYPE', TEXT_PARAMETER, 'SCREEN');
    rp2rro.rp2rro_run_product (REPORTS,: CG$ CTRL.) REPORT_TYPE, SYNCHRONOUS, DURATION, FILESYSTEM, PL, NULL);
    destroy_parameter_list (pl);

    4. when pr2rro Gets a list of parameters (PL) found no Desformat setting that I sent the form. so, I change the library of pr2rro.pll. It's the area of the revised code:
    (just added the var number 'Desfn' that he get_parameter_attr() above.)

    PACKAGE rp2rro IS BODY
    / * Package variables * /.

    rp2rroDesformat varchar2 (30);
    rp2rroDesname varchar2 (200);
    rp2rroDestype varchar2 (30);
    rp2rroReportOther varchar2 (2000): = ";
    number of rp2rroComm_mode: synchronous =;
    rp2rroReportServer varchar2 (100);
    rp2rroVirtualDir varchar2 (100);
    rp2rroReportsInterface varchar2 (30);

    / Thisline by ingenio * /.
    Number of Desfn;

    5. a couple of lines above, you can find this:
    (here I added get_parameter_attr (mparamlist_id, 'DESFORMAT', Desfn, rp2rroDesformat); for re-branded, the value of the parameter called Desformat in var rp2rroDesformat)

    PROCEDURE rp2rro_run_product (product NUMBER, reportFile VARCHAR2, commMode NUMBER, engine NUMBER, fileLocation NUMBER, mparamlist_id, ParamList, display VARCHAR2) IS

    BEGIN
    / * Handle calls only reports * /.

    / Thisline by ingenio * /.
    get_parameter_attr (mparamlist_id, 'DESFORMAT', Desfn, rp2rroDesformat);

    IF product = REPORTS THEN
    Handle_rp2rro_run_product (product, reportFile, commMode, engine, fileLocation, mparamlist_id);
    END IF;
    END;

    Sound now works very well with PDF, RTF, HTML, delimited formats, not with EXCEL (spreadsheet) Im working in this.
    I accept any help.
    Thanlks

    I solved my problem of edition of the library of rp2rro.pll, I debugged the library, and I found the format sent by forms was missing, so I catch and place it directly:
    GET_PARAMETER_ATTR (mparamlist_id, 'DESFORMAT', vnumb, vvalue);
    setDesformat (vvalue);

  • RSL error 1 of 1, Error #2032, 3.6 A Flex, Flash Builder 4.6

    We are in transition from Flex 3. 1 to 3.6 a. Everything worked well for years under 3.1. We tested under 3.6 for a month under HTTP, and everything works. When weinstall to our staging server and run under HTTPS, we get this error and NO OTHER INFORMATION.

    We test under Flash Builder but build production SWF and swc using the MXMLC and COMPC command-line tools. We use the Framework RSL and copy the swf/swz files on our servers as part of the installation.

    Display the MXMLC to compile signup.mxml:

      Fact.

    2. Add a "crossdomain.xml" file to the root of the web server and make sure that it can be read.
      Trying the two secure = "true" and secure = "false".

    < / cross-domain-policy >

    As I said, everything works well under 3.1.

    I am dead stuck and have no idea what to try next.

    Please, please, help.

    In the Flex 3 documentation for the MXMLC Compiler, the rsl-url of the option attribute is described as

    "You specify the location of the SWF file to the location of the application deployment.

    For example, if you store a file named library.swf in the web_root/libraries directory on the

    Web server and application in the root web, you specify libraries/library.swf. »

    This clearly indicates that the URL of the library is relative to the swf file.

    The documentation for the rsl-url of the runtime-shared-library-path option attribute is not so clear, however:

    "Rsl - url argument is the URL of the RSL that will be used to load the RSL during execution.
    The compiler does not check the existence of the SWF file at this location at compile time.
    It stores this string in the application, however, and he uses at run time. As a result, the
    SWF file must be available at run time, but not necessarily at compile time. »

    Obviously, both rsl-url attribute should contain a URL to the swf app and the 3.1 Flex MXMLC was store the URL as relative to the web root. I offset this in my config 3.1 files by providing a URL relative to the root, but without the leading slash (/). This bug has been fixed somewhere between 3.1 and 3.6 so my relative to the root URL were now be saved correctly, as app-parent.

    Adding a bar leading slash (/) to my relative to the root URL solves the problem.

    I know - he should be here in the first place.

  • Conversion of sampling panelator for the version problem

    I can't get panelator to run on a non - dev machine.  I get the «...» Panelator.AEX' could not be loaded (14001) (48::46) error.  In the other samples fix by changing the regular, MDd MD debugging runtime library and compiling change _DEBUG for NDEBUG preprocessor.  In the example of projdumper, I also had to add a "_DEBUG #undef" line in the header file.  I use Visual c ++ 2008 Express to compile the examples.  Is it possible to compile the example of panelator for a release?

    Clinton

    I see a few problems.

    1. you use vs2008.

    the sdk is intended for vs2005.

    the main difference is that 2008 uses MSVCR90. DLL instead of MSVCR80. DLL

    that could be a problem.

    before you proceed to 2005, try to replace /MD /MT.

    which would cause the plugin to include all possible libraries in his code and it would be independent.

    plugin you throw the dependency walker tool.

    If you use / MT, should not be dependent on everything except of KERNEL32. DLL and that should fix this problem.

    2. some code of support can have contrary parameters.

    Check the properties of the files in the folder 'support code' in the panelator example.

    you might find some files that still have debug symbols or are defined as MD or MDd

    in general, windows XP service pack 2 comes with MSVCR and MSCRT version 7.

    If you are the plug-in is dependent on a more recent version that you place these DLLs on the host computer.

    VS2005 comes with version 8 of these DLLs and 2009 with version 9.

    the tool put dependency walker on the non developer machine and you will see that your plug-in is missing.

    I, personally use/MT and as far as the plugin regardless.

    Hi Richard,

    One thing to try is that you can try to reinstall the Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime from here
    In addition, background apps can actually interfere with the installation of MSN, try to perform a clean boot to see if there are programs in conflict
    See you soon ~
    PS - MSN Support is very limited. Do not rely on them

    Hi Chris,

    This problem may occur because of the conflict between certain third-party applications.

    We will start the computer Safe Mode to check if the problem occurs in Mode without failure. If the problem does not occur in Mode safe, then you can try to set up your computer in a clean boot state to find what startup item or service is causing the problem.

    Step 1:
    To restart in Safe Mode, see the link.

    Startup options (including safe mode)

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/advanced-startup-options-including-safe-mode

    If the problem does not occur in Mode without failure, then you try to put the computer in a clean boot state.

    Step 2:
    To perform Clean boot follow the procedure below.

    By setting your boot system minimum state helps determine if third-party applications or startup items are causing the problem.

    How to troubleshoot a problem by performing a clean boot in Windows Vista or Windows 7:
    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929135

    Note: After the boot minimum troubleshooting step, follow the "How to reset the computer to start as usual after a clean boot troubleshooting" section in the link provided to return the computer to a Normal startup mode.

    Hope this information helps. Answer the post with an up-to-date issue report to help you further.

    Hello

    A library contains the class files, you must have the source of debug and trace.
