decompilation 2009 executable

Wow what a security hole!

try opening an executable built in LV2009 with winrar

I just released a VI in my .exe and used in a new vi and it worked

the trick is not to drag and drop it on your diagram functional but call dynamically

Yes, you can see the diagram of Panel or front block, but you can still use the code

I think it's a HUGE security hole when it relates to intellectual property.

For example I am an algrothim of license and pay a lot of money for this and if the user can extract this algrothim and use it at will and do not have to pay the fee then sucks

I currently use a usb HASP for protection security key and tried to protect the executable file and that doesn't stop what is happening, so I guess that there is a protection for this but do it outside of LabVIEW

  • LabVIEW 2009 executable will not manually load screws

Before LabVIEW 2009 I was able to create an executable file containing a main VI which was empty. When this executable has been launched, I could open the other screws on the system through file-> open from the empty main VI. I used this to check distributions of llb for missing/bad behavior screws on systems with just running LabVIEW. Now in LV2009 when I load a VI through this method... nothing. No charge. No error. NOTHING.

    'Function' or a bug?

I have not tried to reproduce this, but a valid solution would be to add a couple of features to the stub executable to do the following?

    • Reference open VI
    • FP. Open method

  • Should I use Visa 5.0 if I do a labview 2009 executable?

We want to make an installer for an executable created in Labview 2009. I installed LV 2010, but I opened the project (which has been done in 2009 LV) in 2009 from LV.

DURATION VISA 5.0 is the only option for the VISA duration under the "additional installers".

Will this work with an executable file LV 2009?

The Readme for VISA indicates what versions of LabVIEW, it supports. Haven't you read? NI-VISA 5.0 supports versions of LabVIEW 8.5 front, so it does not work with 2009.

  • Question of LV 2009 SP1 EXE Builder

    Hi guys:

I found the exe file, built from LV 2009 SP1 can be easily extracted with WinRAR, I can see all the main or sub - VI, is this a bug? or a risk of setting? I have not found the same problem in LV 8.6,

    Thank you

I don't think that you should think about a lot of it. One of the first discussions on this subject is here http://forums.ni.com/t5/LabVIEW/decompiling-2009-executable/td-p/991662. It is true that they will be able to extract the screws, but they will not be able to see, any more than you show in your program.

  • Reminders does not work in the executable LabVIEW front panel

I have a couple of reminders in the process template that trigger an event in the event structure to update of the lights on the front panel for the user. Everything works fine until I have create an executable file. This can also be an indication of the other points, I have not discovered yet.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks for all the help.

    Found!

Not unlike most of LabVIEW developers, I have a range of utility screws that I use over and over again. Such vi is vi uses a property node to find out what environment the application is running in, i.e. .llb, exe, development, publishing student, etc.. This vi is used because SEO screws in an executable file have a way different than when their listing in the development environment. Using this vi allows your code to reference the screws properly when developing and when the executable is built. The code still works because it automatically adjusts the referenced path of the vi. See attachment 'Path Finder.vi environment'.

Now for the fun part! For some reason, perhaps because of the friendly character of NOR and the relationship it is with its developers :-), AND decided to change the path of the executables in LabVIEW 2009. After hours of troubleshooting and countless rebuilt, I came to the conclusion that the ' paths of the band of "work magically stopped working. It was at this time one of my friends happened to walk and ask why I had everything in my monitor across the room (figuratively speaking of course, I'm sure we've all been there). I explained what could be the only conclusion, band paths do not work!

My friend immediately began laughing, having recently had the same problem. He explained that in LabVIEW 2009 executable paths are different and our 'find the path vi' would not work. He added that NOR, after finding this funny, however gave the developers a way to solve this problem with a check box within the app Builder. The box is called "Layout using LabVIEW 8.x file." See attached photo named "App Builder."

The only thing I could say to my friend was, ' silly me, I should have know what that.»

    Laughing out loud

Thank you for trying to help, it launched my butt.

  • Switch Executive stops working after LabVIEW 2009 installed.

I just installed LabVIEW 2009 and now Switch Executive 3.0 does not work.

NISE open session vi returns 0 instead of the valid session ID. It does now with LabVIEW 8.6.1 too.

    Everything looks OK in MAX.

    Any suggestions?

    Hi Pirkola,

I'll try to replicate that.  I understand it is a returned 0 for a session ID.  Is there an error returned as well?

    Did you install this:

  • 2010 user.lib path to the executable file changed since 2009 (1abvi3w)

Our group has often using VI server to control the other executables LabVIEW for automated tests. We expect the VI to be within the executable to control via Server executable VI screws and screws we need to construct the full path.

For LabVIEW 2009 user.lib screw the path used to appear as:

    . exe\LabVIEW 2009\user.lib\...

For LabVIEW 2010 user.lib screw (on Win XP AND Win 7) the path appears now as:

    . exe\1abvi3w\user.lib\...

It's just information for developers. He really threw a key in our calls to the VI server and are uncertain as to why he's changed and why his "1abvi3w". Who's the funny guy?

Seriously, why this change and why to use a '1' and '3 '. Is this an attempt of 1337 speak?

Paths in applications applications are based on the hierarchy of the source of VI. For files in the directory of LabVIEW, the LabVIEW directory real name was used in 2009. It was ok except when creating relies on platforms or on multiple computers where LabVIEW has been installed to a different location. So for 2010, a single, constant directory name has been chosen.

    Hi David,

I built an executable with the VI, and I could not reproduce the problem.  Have you searched and found the VI in the specified directory?  A couple of things to try:

-Use the LabVIEW 8.x file structure.  This lie in the advanced the Build menu.

-Try and build an executable with just that VI.  Who will tell us if it is a symptom or a cause.

  • Executable VI generating an error 222 on Keithley 2612 although his run correctly when starting labview 2009 directly

    Hi all

I have a VI that works perfectly and I can control, a 2612 Keithley has for measurements of transistor.

The VI run well when I realize it from the computer that has the Labview 2009 (XP OS) platform

Equipment (IE Keithley 2612 A) is related to another computer that is not labview 2009.

I installed the Run-time-engine 2009 (32-bit XP OS) on this computer.

Then, I create an executable of my VI with the option 'build application.

The executable VI starts normally on the computer, but when I run it, I get an error message from the Keithley 2612 (which wasn't the case when I ran the VI directly from the computer haing LabVIEW 2009 installed on it). The error message is 222 (ie the long parameter)

I thought I did something wrong and I create an executable from an original VI of Keithley (IE without modification). I get the same error message.

When I create an executable with the runtime engine 2009 included (because it is possible to do with LB 2009), I am geeting the same error message.

So I need to check step after step, when the message arrives but

Someone knows something about such a question?

    Thank you

    Hi all

Just for those who might experience a similar problem.

I found the solution after fighting all the possibilities.

The source of the problem was (for some reason) that the country setting of the computer was wrong

and decimals are written with one, instead of a point.

As I correctly reset the country setting, stand-alone files work normally.

  • Cannot open the secondary an executable after upgrade 2009

I have a request that I had built in an executable in LV 8.6 open successfully several sub-panels using calls to the VI server. I use the App.Kind property to programmatically determine if the application runs in the system development or as an executable file. In both cases, I first use the Reference.vi Application open to get a reference to the instance of localhost, then I pass this reference to the Open Reference.vi VI, as well as the path of the VI. In the case of development system, I pass the absolute path to the VI to be opened in secondary school; in the executable file, I just pass the name of VI. Since each Secondary VI is included in the executable version (in the.) EXE file; always included), RTE has never had any problems finding files VI and by opening the sub-panels.

However, after the LV2009, my executable update can't find the screw more. I checked they are all designated as "Still included" in the specification to build, and I rebuilt the executable several times, trying different possible paths (absolute and relative) to try to coax the RTE to find the necessary files. But everything I try it, still no luck. I'm still stuck with error 7 - file not found.

Are there known issues with calls to the server LV2009 and VI in the executables? Does anyone have any ideas as to what could have changed that a running executable to screw would build between versions 8.6 and 2009? I would be very happy to help.

  • Main problems of delay (2009). Help!

Hey guys, for the last two days that I tried to get my MacBook run smoothly at the end of 2009! After so many forums El Capitan watching seemed to be the answer! Well, I tried that and now my computer is not the completion of download. Perhaps, it stops at 4%. I went to sleep and woke up it was still there! I can't create a new folder under macHD to move files .kext or else! I am getting really irritated and I really don't want to trash the old Mac book but I'm starting to feel as if it was the only way. BTW under Mac Os X (10.7)

    (1) you get a faster response and more focused if you do not validate on an Intel Mac on the forum for PPC computers over nearly a decade.  I would ask the post be moved.

    (2) launching a new operating system on a computer with questions is just asking for more trouble and more complex analysis because of additional software.

    (3) I don't think you should do something with .kext files unless you really know what you're doing.

    (4) execute this Analyzer and post the results here.
