Decrease the space between the < p > tags

Does anyone know a good way to decrease the amount of space between paragraphs? I tried to reduce the margin down to the p tag, but it does not work. I have to create a special class and apply it on the paragraphs in question? Any help is greatly appreciated.

You are welcome.  I assume that this question has been answered.

    N ° for the space around lists, make three models: bulletbegin, bulletmiddle, bulletend. The first style must have extra space above, the last style must have extra space below.

    I've always wanted a characteristic of the interaction style like the one you describe, and I used to love the spacing to Ventura, who collapsed additional space contiguous to the highest number (if a paragraph has 6 points after the next paragraph has 3 pts before, Ventura gives you 6 points after), but I've never seen a program that would allow the space with some style interactions. What are the programs "have done this for years?

    I hate this rule since it removes the default margins of everything.  But you're definitely on the right track.  What is happening is that the margins by default of the first and the last tag in the DIV does NOT collapse as it should and is pushing out.  You can fix this in a number of ways, including the way you suggested.  Another way would be to complete some padding the divs, or a border for the divs, or just set the margins on these specific tags (those in the divs) to zero.  For example, try this code with and without the style sheet embedded in Safari-

  • How to change the space between folder icon and the text on the personal toolbar?

    I have some files in the personal toolbar with just a letter to indicate what they are, but on the theme that I use, the letter is too far from the record, it belongs to and partially falls under following folder icon. I don't want to increase the space between all the icons to show the full letter, as this decreases the amount of icons that you can have in the toolbar. Instead, I want to reduce the space between the file and the text belonging to him, so he is right next to him instead of 5 pixels away.

    I found various entries to change the padding and margins in userChrome.css, but it's always around the icon, I don't know where to look to close the space between the icon and the corresponding text.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you.

    Did you check the value of the left margin of the text?

    You can set if necessary negative margin values.

    #PlacesToolbarItems .toolbarbutton-text { margin-left: -2px !important; }

    Add .bookmark-item [container] If this enough for the items in the folder

    #PlacesToolbarItems .bookmark-item[container] .toolbarbutton-text { margin-left: -2px !important; }
  • Remove the spaces between the css attributes?

    Hello! I know that I can customize my preferences to 'apply the updated source shaped', but it is automatically added to spacing to the attributes of the tag and I don't see a way to change this in the options I give. I want to write my code without spacing in the attributes. Believe it or not, it is easier on my eyes in this way.

    That's what I prefer:

    whatever {width: 40%; height: 25% ;}}

    If I use source formatting, it does this:

    whatever {width: 40%; height: 25% ;}}

    If I can't change this behavior in the settings, not much, but I want to assure you that I have not just miss.

    Thank you!

    You don't miss anything.  DW uses conventional spaces between the CSS attributes.

    You can shrink your CSS code at the end of the project.  That will remove the spaces and line breaks.

    The H2 tag absorbs a rule applied to many items on line 10 of styles.css (margin: 0; padding: 0;).

    The H2 tag is used in contexts as long as you probably don't want to add a fill rule for all of the H2 in concrete. You can add a generic utility class, for example:

    {H2.padBottom10}

    padding-bottom: 10px; / * change to quantity * /.

    }

    The tag 'Follow us' is a good example of this because it would have absorbed this bottom padding if you do not use a class for itself. It should also have a generic class applied to him of H2, so that others are not affected, same as above, but a different utility class:

    {H2.padTop10}

    padding-top: 10px;

    }

    As with CSS, there are 1 million ways to do this, but on specialized articles like this, if it doesn't appear in the same place or continues a smaller purpose, applying a general utility class can be useful.

    Then you must add just the H2 class, for example

    See the Gallery

    ,

    Follow us

  • Spaces between the values in the output

    Hi all

    I have a doubt, this is the scenario in the report.

    Try to display the names of channel which is a special category in the bottom of the report. The names are identified by the DESCR field in the <? FIELD? > tag, starting with a. (ex: A-SONY).
    But there are some other channels to come between the two, as the commercial channels. Comes it like that.
    <? FIELD? >
    <? DESCR? > A-SONY <? / DESCR? >
    <? / FIELD? >
    <? FIELD? >
    <? DESCR? > B-SPORTS <? / DESCR? >
    <? / FIELD? >
    <? FIELD? >
    <? DESCR? > A-STAR <? / DESCR? >
    <? / FIELD? >

    Now, when we display these values, it displays properly, but leaving a space between them, because it has other values in the meantime.
    Can we avoid this space?, this creates some alignment problems.

    Thanks in advance,
    Imtiaz.

    You can do it like below, so that it picks up the values beginning with 'A' alone

    Part of the problem is I am also generate the xslt of the model user seizures... user enters the code for creating simple templates, I run it through various regexes to generate an XSLT that... before you run the XSLT on xml data.

    Example:
    <p>Hello {{USER_FNAME}} {{USER_LNAME}}</p>
    This snippet is entered by a user and transformed in the xslt above... It seems to have to replace all the white spaces with xsl elements: Text empty a little problematic... I was wondering if there is a more elegant solution?

    Thanks for the help and advice!

    Hi Jason,

    From what I understand, the problem is not about properly return a space in a document of XSLT (there are several way to do in fact), but rather on the creation of the XSL piece out of the model defined by the user.
    OP use a search and replace on tags custom in the model, so there maybe is complicated on the mixed complex content.

    If you delete the spaces in your HTML code, they get closer together as planned. You can have them on different lines, but you seem to have added in a space between the tags.
