Default e-mail account e-mail

I think it was a way to set the default "from" e-mail account when sending emails. I don't see this option in Mail preferences. I'm looking in the wrong place. Also, when I send an email, my starting Mail app suddenly put in the 'from' email address almost never used. I can't understand why this suddenly started happening. Hints would be appreciated.

Using OS X 10.11.6

Mail: Version 9.3 (3124)

For your first question, the default account for sending messages is selected in Mail preferences, composition workshop, under "address".

  • How to change the default e-mail account

I have 4 email accounts configured in Mail.app. When you compose a new message, it will be by default the account for the selected mailbox, which is great. However, when no particular mailbox is selected (when you view the Inbox combined for example), it is the default account. I want the default to another account.  How can I tell Mail.app account to use?

Changing the order of the mailbox makes no difference. There is a preference that would allow me to have all new messages come from a certain account, but I don't want that. I want to its default value of the box running mailbox if it exists. I want to just change the value by default when there is no current mailbox selected.

It is has got to be a way to do that, right?

Mail > Preferences > accounts (select your main account) > account number > AccountType IMAP 'email address '.

  • default e-mail account option does not appear

I have a mini ipad with ios 9.2.1.  I want to choose gmail as my default e-mail account, but the 'default' option does not appear (as it does on my iphone with the same version of ios).  It must be less than the "signature" option in "Mail, Contacts, calendars" in the settings, but it isn't here.  Any suggestion on how to solve this problem?  Thank you.

You have multiple e-mail accounts set up on your iPad in settings > Mail, Contacts, calendars, and at least two of them were currently "Messaging" enabled on them? I have several active accounts and I had the setting in iOS 9.2.1 (and now 9.3)

  • Cannot manually change the default e-mail reader more.

I'm want to use Kiwi to Gmail as my default e-mail client. And to do this, I have to use Messaging to change default e-mail reader. Well, when I select the reader to e-mail by default from the inside of the Mall, it won't keep the settings. It simply returns to its previous settings. I open Thunderbird or Outlook, and they have set for the default client. And settings from one session to another. But the General control panel inside the Mail will not work. I can't even to prevent the "Mail" more as a client by default. Simply, it will switch to Outlook or Thunderbird.

Normally, I think that it was a problem with permissions. But I don't see a way to check the permissions in El Capitan.

I had to put the connected to the account of "Allow user to administer this computer" in users and groups then went to Mail and set default Outlook.  After the e-mail saved the default and then I removed the checkbox "Allow user to administer this computer" (two reboots) but saved the day when administrator.  Seems there should be an easier way, but it worked for me...

  • Delete the default e-mail server in Windows Mail

Hi, I just upgraded from Vista to Windows 7 Pro and I am very happy with it.

I worked for an Australian company who installed their email on my laptop, so I could send and receive emails using their server and my email address * address email is removed from the privacy *. I left the company and it has been "disabled", but it remains on my computer configured as far as I can tell that by default (e-mail server?) in Windows Mail. There is nothing else that keeps me using Windows Mail.

How can I get rid of him?

How to install Windows Mail or MSN or Gmail default?

Here is an article on how to implement a Windows Mail account http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Windows-Mail-setting-up-an-account-from-start-to-finish (note what is written for Vista - I don't know if it applies to Windows7).  Frankly, I would switch to Windows Live Mail, it's also free and a much better product - but it's your decision.

The simple answer is to add a new server (Tools / accounts / add) any ISP you choose (you must tell you the settings for the e-mail account they provide for you the ISP), configure it as they requested, verify that you can connect and send messages, and return to the accounnts section and the new account should be listed.  Either delete the old one (which is a new default by default) or right click on the accounts and there should be options to add or remove the default account.

  • I want than gmail for my default e-mail program

Gmail is my favorite. When I select a file and send, it says I have no default e-mail program.

This is because Gmail is NOT an email "program.

Try to download and install the GMail alert system.

    http://email.about.com/od/Gmail/GR/Gmail_Notifier.htm

    • Click the Gmail Notifier icon in the system tray Windows with the right button of the mouse.
    • Select Options from the menu.
    • Make sure that use Gmail for internet mailto: links is checked.
    • Click OK.

If this does not work then you will need to install a CLIENT such as Mozilla Thunderbird or MS Windows Live Mail email, configure your GMail account and either defined those as your default e-mail client.

Where can I put what is my default email account?  Also, I thought that I could click on the reply address and select which e-mail account, I wanted to use.  My Pearl doesn't seem to have the address I got the message from.  Why can't I select one of my other 5 accounts?

    Hello!

When you answer, you can answer only to the address that received the email... it's just the way it works. If you transfer, you can use one of your e-mail accounts, but you will need to re - treat email as it is a. This is how it works.

As for your 'default' e-mail address, it is a different matter. What makes really BB, it's remembering, on emails that you are created, representing you sent for anyone in your contact list. So, the next time that you launch an email to them, it will use the same account for 'from' that you have changed to used for this destination. A tip, that!

    Hope that helps!

  • Synchronization of Outlook 2007 with default e-mail blackBerry Smartphones

    Hi all

    I have a curve 8310 with 4.5 installed.

I have 3 email accounts with my gmail as default on outlook 2007. After I upgraded to 4.5 and the desktop software I found that I couldn't sync my BB and I had to change my default email on ADVANCED OPTIONS | SERVICES for other DEFAULT e-mail account.

Question is what people do with multiple messages? Appointments are created via my email companies and then synchronized to my online calendar using google.

A few appontments an account with gmail or company does not appear on my BB or outlook 2007.

    Does anyone have an idea?

    Thanks in advance

    Hello

Go to the calendar and open it. Press menu, select options.

You can see the calendars associated with email addresses. You will also see a calendar

default named unit. Do you have records in multiple calendars?

Click each calendar and all the way down, it will show you the number of records.

    Let us know.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones default e-mail settings

I have the torch with two e-mail accounts.  One is Outlook Express and the other is web messaging software.  Both work very well except during synchronization.  Calendar items on the default value of the torch for the webmail and don't appear on the Outlook calendar syncing.  The opposite is also true (if I make a calendar entry in Outlook, it will not be synchronized in the calendar on the torch.  Contacts seem to find fine regardless of point of entry (office or torch).  Someone knows how to change the default e-mail from one to the other program?

"Outlook Express" is not an e-mail account, it is a visualization software project manager/email information. You must have some account connected to it, where Outlook Express downloads e-mail to your e-mail messaging server, whether it is a private domain email or hotmail, gmail, aol, etc.

Thus, understanding that... You must decide what your "default email" and your "default calendar" on BlackBerry... which of your two email accounts is the default value?

Set this choice options > device > advanced system settings > default Services.

  • Unrecognized default e-mail application

To start, I use the Canon MP250 for printing and scanning. I just reinstalled the software on another computer under Win 7 - same as my last. I changed my default e-mail program in both programs by default on Windows 7 and in Fire Fox under tools/options/etc... Now when I scan reports and try to send them a mail, I get an error message that I need to install an e-mail program or if it is installed, to make the association. I did and it worked fine in my last computer (he bit the dust for unrelated reasons) but I can't seem to make it work on this machine. HP Pavilion dv7 Windows 7 using an email client, incredimail. Thanks for your help...

I just make IE the default browser. I then tried to send an email from Canon. It worked. Then, I made FF the default browser and tried to send an email from Canon. It worked. I can't explain why. I do not change a thing anywhere. Well. This issue can be closed. Thank you for everything.

  • Mail refuses to give up the default e-mail application

Yesterday, I had a problem where I was unable to grant other e-mail applications by default and found the fix on a Web page that seems to have solved the problem and I was then able to select Outlook or Thunderbird as the default email application.

In Terminal, type the following command

    /System/Library/frameworks/CoreServices.Framework/versions/A/frameworks/LaunchSe rvices.framework/Versions/A/Support/lsregister-tuer - r - all local, system, user

But for some reason, the problem came back today, and Mail does not allow me to grant other default e-mail applications. Someone at - it ideas as to why and how to fix it? Thank you...

    Have you try this:

Open Mac Mail > > Preferences > > general tab > > select Microsoft Outlook.app as the default e-mail application.

  • "not installed default e-mail client." What does that mean?

I am responsible for the maintenance of a website for a club which I am a member.  The club has a generic Hotmail email address we use to send e-mail to and receive e-mail from people.  I put this as a link email address several times on the site, so that people can contact the club.  When I click on one of the links I'm stuck for an e-mail sent to the Hotmail address.  However, now someone has sent me an email to my personal email address, saying that when they click on one of these links, they get the "default e-mail client" message not installed.  Since they can send email for me but not for the club, when the two email addresses are authentic, it's a mystery to me.  They use the browser Internet Explorer and Outlook OWA for emails.  Can anyone help?

    David

This error message simply means that they use a browser for their email and not an e-mail client AND seek to "send to" or some other function, an e-mail client is required for.  I suspect that there is something unique on the link of the web site or anything else on the site.  I suspect since you are the owner of the site/page (and probably have an e-mail client installed) you do not see the problem, but those who do not have an email client.

  • What this means when I try to send from a Web site and "must be set to default e-mail client" expression. Where can I find and what I do to send emails through Web sites

Where I put "default email client".  When surfer and needing to send an email from a Web site, this sentence comes in.  Thank you

    Hi Linda,.

This means that you should choose a program to use by default, for Windows to know which program to use when you send an e-mail.
You can set a default program by following the instructions in this link:
If you don't have any e-mail program installed, you can download Windows Live Mail, which is free and can be downloaded here:
