  The "missing file" error occurs if the file is no longer where iTunes is expected to find. Causes possible is that you or a third-party tool has moved, renamed or deleted the file, one of its parent folders, or the reader, he feeds has been a change to the drive letter.   I am currently using iTunes with my iTunes together on a NAS library and adding pieces can take forever. I want to do the following:

  1. keep my music in a folder on the NAS

  2. continue to use iTunes to manage and organize songs with the structure of the artist/Album/song, I added new things

  3. move the iTunes itl and xml files to the local hard drive

  4. without having to rebuild the database, if possible. I have a massive collection and the database on NAS won 48 hours.

  Can someone help me get there where it won't take me another 48 hours to rebuild?

  Not 100% sure it will work properly...  I know that you are your whole iTunes on the NAS.

  On the internal drive of your Mac, in the folder of music the user account, create a new empty folder called iTunes there.  This is the default location for the folder iTunes (with library databases and media folder).  If there is an existing folder (currently unused) iTunes , delete or move to another location if you want to keep it.

  Quit iTunes if it is running.  On the NAS, open the iTunes folder it (using the Finder) and copy all except for the iTunes Media to the (empty) folder folder iTunes disk internal.  Hold down the Option key and start iTunes. Choose the iTunes Library.itl file in the folder iTunes of the internal drive.

  In the pane iTunes Advanced preferences, is the location of the folder iTunes Media on the folder iTunes Media on the NAS, or (by default) location in the folder iTunes on the internal drive?  If he has given to the default location on the internal disk, click change , and then select your iTunes Media on the NAS folder.  The TWO boxes there to keep iTunes Media folder organized AND copy files to the iTunes folder when adding to Library Media should be checked, if they aren't already.

  Have you tried to reboot your router, correct your location settings, you use audit stage 2.

  Today on my Windows 7 64 - Bit, Apple Software Update detected an update for iTunes; but it would not be installed without error.  Not able to reproduce the error code, I believe that the error was on the download.  Finally, I installed the updated version by using the manual download under Tools feature; but Apple Software Update acted special on my attempts to update automatically.  When starting it in the menu start, Apple software update would open in two windows after the initial failure to download and install.  Quick Time Player and iTunes opens and do not yet detect updates.  I hope that I did not install anything that is damaged within this new update.

  You can unsubscribe from iTunes game directly from your iPad:

  Select settings > iTunes and App Store.

  Tap on your Apple ID.

  Click on View Apple ID. If you are prompted, enter your password.

  Highlight the iTunes in the cloud section.

  Turn off iTunes game renewal.

  How long normally does for iTunes to pick up new episodes from their published? Podbean using for my hosting. Downloaded my 2nd episode this morning, but iTunes is not picking it up. IM assuming that them takes some time, but what is normal?

  When you add a new episode to your stream and download it, it immediately appears for subscribers because their iTunes application reads the stream directly and the store is not involved.

  However, due to the multiplicity of the podcasts in the store (in thousands) the store caches the flow and it checks updates periodically. For this reason, there are usually 1-2 days for new episodes to appear in the store: sometimes it can be lower, and sometimes the whole process seems stuck and it may take several days.

  You should check your supply you signing up, either from the page of the shop, or manually in the menu "Advanced" in iTunes, check that your new episodes are there. If this isn't the case, then you have a mistake any (for example, a duplicate tag "guid"). If all of your episodes appear when you subscribe the store must catch up after a bit.

  When you have a query, it is recommended to display the URL of your Store and your feed iTunes page, otherwise I can give you only a very general answer. It may be that there is a problem with your workflow even if as I say a few days late is quite normal.
