Definitions of color or return bug really UI design?

Hello

Here are a few simple steps to demonstrate what I think, it's a bug.  Can anyone confirm a bug and if Adobe knows about it?  I can't find anything in their database on this subject.

1. open the display > colors > definitions dialog box, set the values of % CMYK 100, 43, 0, 0, and click Add.

2. from the drop-down list of libraries of colors, select Pantone not clothed, type 300, click done.

Note % CMYK values have not changed, but the color chart of course.

3. then type 100 just on top of the Cyan 100. Corrects the color chart.

This is a bug in the library of the colors to RGB conversion routines, or a really bad UI design.  Do you know that? If the latter, can explain why the color of the screen must be different. I know that different CMYK values must be sent to different printers to achieve the same print color, but this should not affect the color you see on the screen.

I need to know about this because I'm going to put in place a range of custom colors based on Pantone colors.  It would be nice to see the name of the ink: set correctly on the Pantone name, but this throws the waaaay displayed color screen.

Thank you

Dave

PS.  I filed a bug with Adobe report to https://www.adobe.com/cfusion/mmform/index.cfm?name=wishform but they say they are not very often and I would like to know what is the story.  THX!.

Dave,

You can have a read by Tim Murray view available color in FM at: http://www.techknowledgecorp.com/help/color.html

To display on the screen when you specify the Pantone color, you see the values defined by Pantone in the RGB. When you manually enter the CMYK values, you see algorithm of mapping FM conversion of these numbers in RGB. The calculation or library setting used is also controlled by the maker.ini for the GetLibraryColorRGBFromCMYK parameter setting.

Colors of the screen will always be a little subjective unless you have gone through a calibration process. It is akin to telling me to use a setting of '3' on your toaster to get a specific shade of Brown on your bread toasted. If your toaster has 12 settings, mine has 7 and their powers are different, so you will never get what I get with this setting.

What are the definitions of colors that are triangles of histogram in Lightroom?

I just got working with the histogram in Lightroom.
I understand the basic principles and how to apply the settings to eliminate the white triangle and get it to gray when the triangle lights up.

I notice that the Triangle will both light up in different colors such as:
    Yellow, white, red.
    What do the colours mean?
Finally, I get to have the gray triangle Tower.
However: I do the right setting to get to the gray color where one white color other then lights?

    In other words:
If I change the whites/highlights is that the correct change or should it be exhibition based on a color then other white indicating in the triangle.

I hope I explained my question properly, ask any follow-up questions if I failed to make the case for the question.
    Thank you

    Greg

Triangles indicate that one or more channel was cut in the shade (left) or (right) highlights.

When a channel has been cut, there is no color of this channel - i.e. the value is 0 or 255.

Edit: Lightroom uses % instead of levels for color values, so are the number 0 or 100%

    red = red channel cut

    Green = green channel cut

    Blue = Blue channel cut

cyan = green, and blue channels cut

Magenta = red and blue channels cut

yellow = the red and green channels cuts

    Gray = all clipped channels

dark gray only = no Cup channel

Unless you are working with images for scientific use, I had put the dark and light tones for the most part looking at the picture itself, rather than using the histogram. The histogram tells you a lot about the image in the blink of an eye, but there is no such thing as a histogram "perfect."

What I usually do is hold the ALT key while dragging the cursor highlights and blacks, which show the cutting in the image itself. I'd rather not have reflections clipped (except for specular highlights) and usually have a little black clipping som real black in the picture.

How the shadows and highlights of an image depend a lot on the nature of the image and your personal preferences.

Some images look better without blacks or whites, like the one below.

Native drivers the top on my comp crashed two years somehow. While I was looking for new on this site. But I couldn't find any driver for my printer (USB connected), only universal. He really works hard. Color photos printed in gray with big polka dots, text got same problems. So I really want to know how to install my good old CP1515n of good work. But behold, no consultation online with this problem and no solution on the forum or the support of pages. What should I do then, where the good old drivers?

    Hi toloubaev,

It is possible that the renovated cartridge you are using is the cause poor print quality. I suggest you to install a new HP OEM cartridge to help isolate the poor quality of printing to the printer or remanufactured toner cartridge. I wouldn't see you spend money on getting the printer repaired when it's associated cartridge. Let me know what you find?

  • How to create a camera profile that works with a JPG image with my color chart to check inside? [was: color Checker chart.] Really need help]

I got a color chart to check. It came not with any software whatsoever. I shoot my images in JPG format. I know it's not really ideal but I'm on a tight budget and don't have the money for a digital SLR cameras that shoot raw. Is there anyway that I can always create a camera profile that works with a JPG image with my color chart to check inside? My table also includes RGB values below each color. Maybe I can match each color in the photo these values manually? If so how is this done?

    Thank you

    Bryce

I've never seen software that does what you ask for JPGs, only RAWs.  The main problem is that any profile or adjustment is calculated according a JPG of a particular chart photo would apply to the other JPG photos with the same white balance.

Jpg does not use "camera profiles" anyway in Lightroom, the profile is always integrated.

There is a product that allows to calculate the HSL cursor offset values given a JPG photo their own table owner who looked like a color checker, but had two lines reversed so the software could not be used with a standard-checker color, unfortunately.  Now their table has twice as many patches (48), and looking at it on their site I'm not too sure that it does not always work with JPGs or if she's just raw files, now.

The graphic and software are called SpyderCheckr of Datacolor.  There are various software that do different things, but none are using a ColorChecker, so having one is mainly a loss until you get a camera that can take raw photos, so keep a humidity and temperature controlled environment as much as possible until you have the right camera.  You can probably use the grey patches to adjust exposure, but that's all.

Today you need not a digital SLR to have raw photos, well.  My phone Galaxy S6 with the last update of Marshmallow and the software of camera update will take photos in format raw DNG in Pro mode which I can create custom profiles camera to use a ColorChecker, although the camera is really good in itself, so when I found everything first he could make DNG I took a little but now, I usually just use the camera to make the jpg unless the shot is really important and the lighting is not too hard.  I think that S7 phone's camera is even better.

What kind of camera do you have?  Sometimes, there are firmware hacks that allow the camera to shoot raw format even if the standard camera cannot.

  • Validation - PLSQL function Boolean return bug?

Request Express 4.1.1.00.23 (and all earlier versions I've ever used)

When you use the wizard to create a Validation of type "Function PLSQL return Boolean", why is - this mandatory to enter a value in the field "Error" on the screen that follows? This message is never used because the message actually comes from a PLSQL return statement.
    PaulP

    Hello

Well, there is still this red asterisk, you cannot enter anything in the text of the error.
If you leave the field blank, Assistant does not raise any validation error.

I think that asterisk is just because they have reuse same wizard page.

    Kind regards

  • Color picker return erroneous results

In CS5, I choose a spot color with the eyedropper and the color comes out in the wrong way. For example, a color R = 105, G = 54, B = 35 in ACR is a greenish color in PS Background/Foreground boxes. In fact, the color numbers of any color from greenish to yellowish a little and even a solid color show variations in the three number, where they should stay on the same letter for each primary. So I have a chosen color corruption.

I have tried Reset Prefs that I would rather not only to avoid running the chore, but if that's all what I can do, I'll do. OTOH, if there is something else might be at fault I want to try that first.

  • Definition of colors

I wonder how to use a cfif statement to set the background color of a table cell based on the percentage number that is output from a database.

    #yourvalue #.

Maybe it's a lot of cfif however, depending on the number of values and cells
    you have...

If your output table only displays a value on a line (instead of several
side by side in columns of values), then you could do something like:

  • I want to merge the window address bar and search with the menu bar in order to avoid a really stupid design feature that the last "update" forced on me. How can I?

The boring latest Firefox update separated the menu bar and address two bar and moved the address bar below my tabs, nor what is logical or useful and wastes space. How can I combine them?

    Christopher,

Sorry, there is nothing for Mozilla to 'fix', the new UI Australis works as expected. I'm not satisfied with these changes, as a number of talented developers who have spent a lot of time creating extensions to correct that some of us don't like the new UI.

This door extension on most of the changes in the new user interface, and what it does not there can be an extension separated for that, too.

    https://addons.Mozilla.org/en-us/Firefox/addon/classicthemerestorer/

To meet these specific issues that you mentioned in your first posting, the menu bar is not really necessary to have on the screen all the time. If you hid it, you can press Alt to only show. In addition, many of the main menus on the menu bar are available from the button Menu to open '3-bar "; something new for the user is to become familiar with.

It is always possible to personalize then move buttons to toolbar on the Menu bar, if you want to display the Menu Bar all the time.

The menu bar and address bar have always been distinct by default, but unfortunately the ability to "Customize" the address bar (on which the address bar is a part of) has been considerably limited compared to previous versions of Firefox.

Regarding the location of the 'tabs band', he called "The tabs at the top" and was already the default for some versions of Firefox. This Museum is the hidden preference (browser.tabs.onTop) , which allowed the user to turn off this preference.

These two extensions add this pref in versions of Firefox 29 +:

    https://addons.Mozilla.org/en-us/Firefox/addon/tabs-on-bottom/

    https://addons.Mozilla.org/en-us/Firefox/addon/fdgueux-tabs-on-bottom/

Just as the Restorer of classic theme, but without the other proposed changes to the CTR.

In closing, Mozilla has made studies on how Firefox users using Firefox, and how they have changed the Firefox; the results showed that a minority of users changed anything about Firefox. And a super minority of users of Firefox went as far to change the user interface, like the poster in this thread we're talking.

I am part of this "great minority", I tend to 'customize the hell' of Firefox. And I'm working on a solution to many changes, while avoiding the use of extensions when possible; Although my solutions do not involve change "Tabs at the top", which is a change, I welcomed in Firefox 4.0.

  • Color display active muddy and dull design

All my colors appear muddy in In Design. They look good in Photoshop and Illustrator. This has happened recently. I think that it started after I got a computer of the accident, I have an iMac and uses the operating system of El Capitan. The incident occurred when I tried to update the system software. It was so bad that Apple had to guide me through reinstalling the system. Any thoughts as to what happened to my design in poster colors and what to do to fix?

Looks like you have some sort of transparency effect on your page, your colors are RGB, and fusion of the transpaperncy space is set to CMYK.

    Hi John,.

There are many options to make a grey black object. Here are a few:

    1. image > adjustments > levels... (move the pointer of the shadow)

2 image > adjustments > curves... (move the shadow point)

3 control click your fill of the layer (selection of brands) with black

4 do you use that color decorative effect layer choose black as the color of the overlay

  • Color of police present in the Design tab, but not when viewed or downloaded

This has been me angry the last days and I can't seem to find any info on this subject. I found a site, but they want you to pay a subscription to view the answers. Basically, my question is, when creating a site that I can see the police of colors in the Design tab, but when I download or even look at the page in IE 7 or Firefox the font color is the default value of the page, not what is described in my code (attached) CSS. I'll admit I'm trying a new style of page. I normally do a shell and use iFrames for content, but I wanted to be more search engine friendly so I use Div scrolling layers instead. I don't think that's the question, but I could be wrong. Any help explaining why this is happening and how to fix it would be greatly appreciated.

I fixed it. The problem came from a library that I had on the page. I had 3 different styles, he listed, and one of them was style 3 then he drew the color and the make-weight of one as apposed to the style 3 in my CSS of the page. I went to my library and renamed the 3 different numbers and bingo, my policy is that showing red when downloaded.

  • New function to return 0 for negative design value

How can I find the value 0 when calculating in the cell is zero or less than zero?

calculation what ever is in the cell must be 'put' inside a max function like that.

is that the calc is designated

    Then, you need to change:

    =

    TO

    = max (, 0)

for example if the cell contains:

    = Sum(a2:B45)

    You must use:

    = max (sum(A2:B45), 0)
