  • Missing base system driver?

    Hi all

Then, I saw this problem listed for other users with other computers, and it seems that it is specific to the computer model of the problem.  So, I have a ProBook s 4540, with a missing base system driver, cannot be updated automatically (when I run the troubleshooter, the driver is not found)... • I have a 6930p elitebook lack of base system driver and module broadband un2400 mobile

Hi I recently bought an elitebook 6930p with windows xp installed on it.  After clean installation windows 8, I discovered that my base system driver and hp un2400 mobile broadband module is missing, any ideas? I know that there are several discussions resolved about windows 7 but nothing about windows 8, thanks

    Hello:

You need this driver for the 0004.

    http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodTypeId=321957&prodSeriesId=3688868&prodNameId=3688870&swEnvOID=4059&swLang=13&taskId=135&swItem=ob-109933-1&mode=3

The adapter to wide band may not be supported for W8.

If the driver is not installed automatically, my only recommendation would be to try to install manually by using the following method.

    http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodTypeId=321957&prodSeriesId=3688868&swItem=ob-83605-1&prodNameId=3688870&swEnvOID=4059&swLang=13&taskId=135&mode=5

Download and run the W7 driver.

    http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodTypeId=321957&prodSeriesId=3688868&swItem=ob-83605-1&prodNameId=3688870&swEnvOID=4059&swLang=13&taskId=135&mode=5

Conclusion of any windows error you get.

Go to Device Manager and click the map broadband which need pilots. Click on the driver tab, click on set to update driver.

Select travel it my computer for the software method and locate the installation folder that was created when you ran the file.

    Who will be in C:\SWSetup\sp48568.

Make sure that the include subfolders is selected, and I hope that the driver will be installed.

If this isn't the case, then it probably won't all what you can do to get the card to operate in W8.

You updated the BIOS and motherboard (chipset drivers)? All device drivers? By checking
    manually on the link above?

If so you need to contact the Sony Support as the error is in the provided OEM drivers and not

Hello sperrybream, no download that is not from mozilla.org is approved by mozilla. as you have described the issue, it seems certainly doubtful ("It is recommended to update your system drive now" - there is no such thing as a system drive) & I would definitely recommend not not to react on the popups from unknown sources.

  • System drive Qosmio G20 with an image or a clone backup

On another thread, I asked problems with Acronis True Image to backup and cloning of my system (C) disk. Whenever I'm trying to clone my system disk or recover an image, I can create and restore the image, but when I install the player recreated and tries to start, I get as much "windows did not start successfully, I would like to start in safe mode... last good config known... or normal. All the options to return to the screen.

I have two drives 100 GB sata, with the first disc of the op system, programs and the second with my data and therefore has set up the raid as two independent disks and the raid console option disabled.

After trying another product of cloning with the same result, I guess there is something in the Qosmio implemented that is the cause. I read that Qosmio Player is installed on a hidden partition of Linux on the system drive and am wondering if it may not be picked up by the cloning and imaging software and that may cause boot failure.

So I have two questions. First of all, nobody knows why I might be problems starting from a clone or recovery using third party disk image backup software and second, anyone successfully upward and restore a G20 Qosmio Player system, and if so with what software and do you perform all the special functions.

    Thank you very much.

    Hello

Well, I use the Toshiba Recovery CD to restore the operating system on the Qosmio G20.
It has also 2 x 100 GB, but under my computer, I saw only one a HARD drive. I created 2 partitions with the ghost (second option on the recovery CD).
However, I have now 2 partitions but after this procedure, the Qosmio player has been removed. I though that I need to install again simply because of the Qosmio player but I tried to install the Qosmio player after the recovery procedure and it has been successfully.

2 existing partitions and I also have a Qosmio player on my laptop.
But one thing is very strange; I can't locate the partition in disk management.
    But everything works ok

  • SYSTEM drive defragment not

Defrag tool shows all my discs, including a SYSTEM drive that she needs to defragment. However it won't let me not defragment the SYSTEM disk. I click on "Analyze" and it shows 14% fragmented. I click on "Optimize" and the screen flashes and nothing happens. All other disks défragmentent normally, including automatically and manually. This problem occurred under Windows 7 (which was originally on the machine when I bought it) and now Windows 8. I have a HP 580 t and I am system administrator.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

    Hello

The system partition should not be défragmentée - it contains the boot files and recovery for Windows 7 environment and appear always need to defrag so analyzed.  It is also important to note that this "apparent framentation" has absolutely no effect on the performance of your PC.

  • Create installer problem - locate System Driver Set - may 2016

    Hi guys,.

I use LabVIEW 2016 (64-bit) and I try to make an installer. During the Setup, installers, LabVIEW suggests that:

    • OR LabVIEW DURATION 2016 (64-bit)
    • NOR-488. 2 DURATION 15.5
    • NI-VISA DURATION 15.5

When I build, I get a request to locate a number of other installation programs (so far as I know), I've hosted, but whatever I wonder at the moment, I can not find: 'National Instruments System Driver Set - may 2016'.

The only driver sets that I can find on ni.com end to April 2015 and that the file is massive (more), which seems like overkill for what I'm trying to do.

In addition, my software only uses the RS-232 port and any other material.

    My questions are:

Where can I find this set of drivers?

Is it possible to see specifically which driver the build is looking for?

    Thank you

    Adrian

-I just googled a bit and found this

-From the link above, I've just went to the parent directory and found this:ftp://ftp.ni.com/support/fis/sds/2016.05 which I believe is asking, and it's even bigger 11FR.

p.s. I'm not sure if this will help or not.

  • 0xC0000221 error windows didn't load a critical system driver is missing or corrupt.

Hey, I got a letter on my laptop to install service pack 2 for windows vista and I did it with no complications until I reset my laptop and when it came back I received an error:

Windows could not start. A recent hardware or software change might be the cause. To solve the problem:

    1. Insert your windows installation disc and restart your computer.
    2. choose your language settings, and then click "next".
    3. click on "repair your computer."

If you do not have the disk, contact your system administrator or computer manufacturer for assistance.

    File: \Windows\System32\drivers\ecache.sys
    Status: 0xc0000221
Info: Windows could not load a critical system driver is missing or corrupt.

I followed these instructions several times and made repairs to start ending telling me that "Windows cannot repair this problem automatically" and "If you recently set a device to this computer, like a camera or portable music player, remove it and then restart your computer." I have nothing connected to the computer.

I also tried to restore the system that is not no matter how far back that I try to restore to.

If I could load files or start repairs on a USB stick and boot directly from it to fix the error?

Download the ISO on the provided link and do a repair disc
See if that will fix it...

Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.

When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.

You can make a tool to restart system, System Restore, etc. with it.

Read all the info on the website on how to create and use it.

  • Help! Windows cannot load a critical system driver is missing or damaged.

    Hello

I really hope that someone can help me! I've read through dozens of discussions without results. The laptop I use for establishing the budget, research and games has Windows Vista.  I was downloading of test (probably too at the time) and my system crashed.  I do not have the installation disk, or pre-installed her "takeover of marketing", did the thing F8 nothing helps and I can't afford to lose any files.

I get absolutely no where but back to screen Windows Boot Manager telling me that Windows was able to start.  The following information is referenced:

    Hello

Via F8 safe mode is not an option for you, try a startup repair and / or a system restore using a DVD of Vista from Microsoft

Manufacturers recovery disks normally do not have Service Options; they are normally a relocation to the factory only settings option.

Here is the guide to repair Options using a Vista DVD from Microsoft.

If a friend or a work acquantance of yours has one, you can borrow and use it for repairs.

    http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/tutorials/repair-Windows-with-Windows-Startup-Repair/

    Table of contents

    1. Overview of Windows Vista repair options
    2. How to perform an automatic repair of Windows Vista using Startup Repair
    3. Advanced Tools Overview
    4. Conclusion

If you do not or can not borrow a Microsoft DVD there is a download of a file ISO of Vista Startup Repair available that you can put on a Bootable floppy to make the above startup repair and that the method is recommended by a large number of posters in these Forums.

Unfortunately, you have to buy it.

Here is a link to it:

You can remove the hard drive and put it in a hard drive USB enclosure > plug it into another computer > and try to read and copy your data in this way.

  • Drive on which Windows XP to reside is always labeled as a system drive. How can I make one of the other disks that has Vista or 7 that the new system?

    Change the system drive

I'll try to explain my situation better than I can.

My situation is that when I used to have XP installed, I had installed the only drive I had back then which is now the drive D, for a long time, so I have Windows Vista Home Premium 32-bit, Windows 7 Home Premium 32 bit installed on two different discs, Vista is installed on drive C and 7 is installed on drive E , but I don't have XP that I had managed to get rid of it.

My problem is that the drive on which Windows XP to reside has always left this disc marked as system in the disk management window, and I was wondering how to do that one of the other readers who has Vista or 7 that the new system?

I already managed to change the startup disk from drive where Vista is installed to, it's just that I need to change the disk that is marked as system to another drive, such as D drive begins to show signs that it comes at the end of his life and I would like to move the startup folder as well as the other files needed to start on the other.

I assume that you installed Windows XP 1, then Vista, 7 (these 2 OS not in order)?

And Vista and 7 was by all means upgrade installation?

Since originally, that you have installed Windows XP on drive D, it should be marked as 'system' and retains so the tag 'system '.

The volume of the 'system' should be identified as the first primary partition active. It may or may not have the files it contains.

The fact that the system considers "system drive" does not mean that there are files that it contains.

Now, you want to delete the existing volume and create a new volume. Needs to be done outside the facility.
When you start the cd or DVD to start the installation list us readers, if you remove the volume the volume drive letter is already booked, so you get the next available drive letter, do not re-use the deleted volume drive letter.

If he removed during installation and then recreated as a new volume (formatting does not remove the volume, you need to delete the volume and recreate it)

-[Posted by Darrell Gorter [MSFT] in another forum.]

Try to format the XP partition and change the drive letter.
