Degree in the table symbol

Hi friends,

Is it possible to insert the symbol of the degree of table?

I tried with alt + 276. He got automatically converted to? Select this option.

I use Oracle Database 10 g Enterprise Edition Release 10.2.0.2.0 - 64bi

The data type of the column in which I tried to insert the degree symbol is VARCHAR2.

Please help me on this if there is some way around have inserted the degree symbol in the oracle table.

Thanks in advance.

Kind regards
Christiane

Hello

insert into t1_dummy values('100'||chr(186));

insert into t1_dummy values('1011'||chr(186));

commit;

select * from t1_dummy;

output :

  • Get the current index value of the table control

    I have a table control 1 d on a panel that contains a value of temperature curve that I send to a temperature controller. The values in the table are not unique, because for example 40.5 degrees in the table could represent 40.5 degrees on the cycles of cooling or heating. I could have severat heating/cooling cycles programmed into the table. I would like a way to read the array index of the currently displayed item in the array in the up/down control of index on the left of the table control. I could then run curves partial temperature easily by neutrophilia a starting point on the curve in the table control.

    I don't see a property that I can use to get this index value. Anyone have any ideas?

    Thank you

  • Parameters of the table of contents: enlarge the symbol / symbol hide

    Hello everyone,

    in the skin editor / TOC-settings of 5 in captivity, I discovered two new (?) settings: symbol enlarge / hide symbol (I don't know if it's the exact terminology in the English version, because I use the Germany) where you can select the chart. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to find out how to work these settings or to find any description on the internet. Does someone could give me a clue here?

    Guten Tag Jan,

    I think you speak of these two regions to change the icons for opening/closing of overlay to the table of contents. Wanted to add a screenshot with the English version, but the forums does not for the moment.

    They are intended to replace the small default icons for the table of contents in overlay mode of opening and closing by your own icons. There was a lot of complaints about these icons (double arrows) because they were so tiny.

    The other new feature (width) allows you to extend the width of the table of contents to more than 250px (always at least) which can be useful on glass with entries of large text for slides.

  • Changing the font styles in the table of contents usingpages 5.6.2

    Hello

    I am writing a scientific assignment and I have some titles that contain italic characters such as: Importance of Bacillus cereus

    When I create a table of contents, these italics seem to disappear and I can't do these italics without making the entire table italic material - that is not what I want.

    I also have the same problem with the degrees symbol which is great script in my titles, but appears as '0' in the table of contents.

    Can anyone help please?

    Thank you!

    When you build a Table of contents, Pages v5.6.2 uses a brush regular Helvetica on all text in the generated TOC. He made his farewell to all the attributes of fonts can set up for your titles and headings. We can not selectively reapply text attributes to a part of a table of contents entry.

    If I use the degree symbol in the title or the title paragraph style, she survives as baseline Exhibitor in the generated table of contents. My degree symbol is entered as shift + option + 8 (on a U.S. keyboard).

  • Pages is wrapping the row number in the table of contents

    So, I have a document with two paragraph styles I want to include in the table of contents.  A style with page numbers and the other without.  So I insert a table of contents (it's in its own section, because I want the table of contents to be their own style page numbers) and I get the table of contents, but instead of text that is labeled with the style of the paragraph to the left and right page numbers, I get the text containing the tag with the style of the paragraph to the left and then click the line below (no paragraph don't symbols even if it's on the next line) a blue arrow pointing to the right in the middle of the table of contents box, then on the next line (once more no paragraph symbol), to the left I get the page number.

    Anyone know what is happening or how to get the right page number on the same line as the text?

  • Why the table in the output of MT complex waveform modulation FSK 255 elements missing?

    Hello! I posted my question in the LabVIEW forum but an application engineer suggested I post here. I'm new so any help would be appreciated

    I use this example FSK in LabVIEW (VI is attached). As it can be seen in the block diagram, the number of samples by specified symbol is 512. If I run 2 - FSK, I have 1 bit per symbol. So I if I have 128 bits, 128 symbols. and if I have 512 samples per symbol, I expect 65536 samples/elements in the complex waveform of the MT output modulation FSK. However, I get only 65281 elements in the table. There are 255 missing items.

    If I run 4 - FSK and have 128 bit or 64 symbols, I expect to 32768 in the table. But then again, I'm running out of 255 items and get 32513.

    Am I missing out on something? Have I misunderstood something? Thank you very much for your help.

    I get the same results as you!

    I Dove a little inside, and it seems that the code that generates the symbols, two layers down, which reports an explanation to this.

    If you open MT modulate FSK.vi, then mod_FSK modular Phases.vi discontinuous to generate in the discontinuous case of the structure of the case, you will see the following code.

    You can see that when Reset is set to True (the default) and the external-loop for is in his first race, the inner-loop for work (samples per symbol) / 2 + 1 times (in your case, this number is 512 / 2 + 1 = 257.) Subsequently, the inner-loop for runs with 512 for each outer loop for iteration. This means that the first round fail to 512-257 = 255 samples, which causes the total to 255 less samples.

    I don't know what is the motivation behind this design. As a test, you could connect in a constant False to Reset of the MT Terminal modulated FSK VI, which causes all the samples to generate.

    Hope that clarifies it.

    Hello

    Do not put a semicolon at the end of the dynamic SQL statements.

    Instead of:

    RESULT: =... | MAIN_EMP_CODE | ';';

    Try:

    RESULT: =... | MAIN_EMP_CODE;

    You need a semicolon (outside the single quotes) to put an end to the assignment statement, but you don't need a semicolon (inside the single quotes) to put an end to the dynamic UPDATE statement.

    Whenever you make dynamic SQL code, ask someone (often yourself) "Is this really necessary?"

    Dynamic SQL is usually an accessory to the wrong table design.  Do you really need to have several tables that each must be updated in the same way, at the same time?  Are you create new tables so frequently that cannot keep track of their static code?

    Acrobat JavaScript knows tables and form fields. So we could have a table in JavaScript and complete a series of fields that looks like a table. You can use JavaScript to find the table.

    DDL is not allowed directly within PL/SQL procedures.

    You must (ab) use EXECUTE IMMEDIATE issuing the DDL

  • Include graphs of the icon in the table of contents (TOC)?

    Question

    Is it possible to have icons (i.e. frameworks anchored inline) automatically appear in the table of contents?

    (We translate into 15 languages, so manually add graphics to the table of contents, after its creation isn't really a viable option).

    If you are ready to have a paragraph format separate for each variation of the icon, you may be able to use the image above each corresponding to xxxTOC tag property to its icon, using negative space Frame - over hack Arnis described lately to:

    The numbered steps circled are possible?

    This will pollute the paragraph of course catalog.

    I'm rather tempted to use a rendering of the font tool to convert your icons of character glyphs in Unicode E000-F8FF private use area *. Then, the icons are just text introduced in each topic. Note: in a position of switching character Formats breaks automatic hypertext in the table of contents. See:

    The problem of termination of the link could be avoided by using a Unicode open license text font which is similar to your favorite title font and adding glyphs to icon for private use. Then there is no change of character format in the relevant TOC entries. Of course, turning your icons in glyph police presume you have vector art for them which is easily converted to outlines, otherwise it will be a great effort.

  • collect statistics of the table

    Hi all

    DB version: 10.2.0.4
    OS: AIX 6.1

    I want to collect the stats table for a table as the query that uses that table is slow. Also, I noticed that this table is using full table scan, and it has been analyzed in last 2 months back.

    I intend to run the query to collect the statistics below. The table has 50 million records.
    COUNT (*)
    ----------
    51364617

    I expect that this will take time if I run the query as below.

    DBMS_STATS.gather_table_stats EXEC ('schema_name', 'table_name');

    My doubts specified below.

    1. can I use the also estimate_percent parameter to collect statistics?

    2 should. how much we indicate for the estimate_percent parameter?

    3. what difference it will make if I use the estimate_percent parameter?

    Thanks in advance

    Published by: user13364377 on March 27, 2012 13:28

    If you are worried about the stats of collection process for a long time running, consider collecting statistics in parallel.

    1. can you use estimate_percent? Sure! Go ahead.
    2. what percentage of use? Why not let the data decide with auto_sample_size? Various "rules of thumb" were thrown around over the years, usually about 10 to 20%.
    3. what difference it will make? Very little, no doubt. Occasionally, you can see where a small sample makes a difference, but in general that it's perfectly ok to estimate its stats.

    Maybe something like this:

    BEGIN
      dbms_stats.gather_table_stats(ownname => user, tabname => 'MY_TABLE',
       estimate_percent => dbms_stats.auto_sample_size, method_opt=>'for all columns size auto',
       cascade=>true,degree=>8);
    END;

    Very new to APEX here. In authentication methods and was curious to know if it is possible to link the Apex on an existing Oracle database and the table to get information for user name and password. Trying to use the employe_id and last 4 of their social.

    Any ideas or things I can read up to get a general idea?

    fac586, thank you. I didn't even know what I had done.

    Yet one thing that happens now after I corrected my incorrect syntax.

    CREATE OR REPLACE FUNCTION EmployeeIDAuth (
    p_username IN VARCHAR2,
    p_password IN VARCHAR2
    )
    RETURN BOOLEAN
    IS
    form l_count NUMBER;
    BEGIN
    SELECT COUNT(*) into l_count from table@db WHERE employee_no=p_username AND bdate=p_password;
    IF l_count > 0 THEN
    RETURN TRUE;
    ELSE
    RETURN FALSE;
    END IF;
    END;

    Now returns an error of:

    Error on line 15: PLS-00103: encountered the symbol "end-of-file" when expects it one of the following values:

    not end up dominant static of final instantiable order pragma
    manufacturer membership card
    1. CREATE OR REPLACE FUNCTION EmployeeIDAuth)
    2 p_username IN VARCHAR2,
    3 p_password IN VARCHAR2

    Any other ideas?

    Remove the false token form.
