Delay in VOIP in WinXP VM programs

I'm currently under WinXP SP3 in a virtual machine on the latest version of Fusion (v2.0.2) on an aluminum MacBook.  I have a Cisco IP Communicator Phone which I run in the virtual machine.  My problem is that I have about 1 second delay when I try to talk to someone using a cap or helmet USB.  When I run the Cisco Unified Personal Communicator (light utility) on Mac OS, I do not mean delays.  I'm guessing that means merge, or do I run the VOIP in a virtual machine is somehow the cause of the delay.  Any ideas of how I can eliminate the delay, or is what someone else see similar behavior?  Thank you!

I do not know if someone has replied to this elsewhere or come up with a solution, but I have a similar problem, the Fusion (2.0.2), Windows XP and using AT & T Interwise web conference.  I make a similar delay or PLU using headphones and the microphone.  Any ideas?  Thank you!

    In Windows 8 there is a long enough period for the launch of the programs in the startup folder or in the register as startup items. Why is this? And how can I remove or reduce the delay? Please note that this is not a problem with too many programs trying to launch. There is that one program listed on startup with a new installation of Windows 8 and the system is running on an SSD. It's so clear and deliberate, time not only a slow system.

    Reading this thread, I just want to point that Microsoft quality replies here, it's horrible, beyond and Microsoft should be embarrassed to make them like that in public. I recommend delete them all and by publishing an adequate solution.

    Reminder: The OP says that he is a clean install. They moved just a program in the startup folder and they're asking why - this delay, indicating precisely is not a slow computer. The advice they get is:

    -Run the diagnostic system

    -Start in Safe Mode

    Hello? This is a clean install! Of course, none of this assistance.

    What actually happened is that there is, as the OP stated, before advisement in Windows 8 delay as all the start-up programs are executed.

    It can be flown in the key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Serialize\Startupdelayinmsec in the registry (including the set to 0, then the programs are executed immediately).

    I put my program and a few cards of my oscilloscope (ai0-signal ao0 drop signal)

    Hi Jonathan.

    The code that you downloaded was not in parallel. Flat sequence structure forces the process to the AO HAVE to wait for the update panel. You can use the "Acquisition and recording of data" model to Create... Project for a reference on how to separate the update of the user interface of the real transformation.

    However, you must keep in mind that it is not possible to "simply to acquire a signal, multiply it and transmit" with DAQ hardware. This is because you must proceed as follows to get a signal and send it through the AO:

    1 acquire the signal in the DAQ card.

    2 send the signal to the computer via USB.

    3. ask the OS and LabVIEW process the signal to multiply.

    4. send the signal via USB in data acquisition.

    5. the output signal.

    This means that, while you can probably reduce the delay, you will always have this delay in the order of milliseconds. If you really need a shorter delay, you have a few options:

    (1) I noticed that the signal you're reading seems to be periodic. If it is a periodic signal, you can enable the regeneration in the AO and drastically reduce the delay, like the acquisition of data will just get the waveform periodical and cycle it. However, if the waveform changes, you will have some glitching.

    (2) use a multiplier circuit separated instead of data acquisition.

    (3) use a FPGA or RIO device instead of data acquisition.

    I hope this helps.

    When you Hibernate your computer, Windows saves the contents of the system memory in the hiberfil.sys file. If you don't use the Hibernate feature and want to reclaim the space used by Windows for the hiberfil.sys file, perform the following steps:

If you are having shutdown problems, then select the hotkey Ctrl + Shift + Esc to bring up the Task Manager and click the Applications place the cursor on a running application to select and click on the end task button. As the application is removed from the list, repeat the procedure on the next application in the list until all are gone from the list. • The main program is seen as a separate thread?

    I tried to stop a GUI based program opening too fast because the splash screen has not been seen for a long time enough.

    So I tried to use the classes Thread and can be walked in the GUI Builder.
    Trying different things, I got it to do what I wanted: a delay of 10 seconds before the GUI of the program display.
    But I don't understand why main is not considered a separate thread and continue to get visible regardless of the status of delayThread.
    // Constructor:
    // ---------------
    public Hotel (int numberIn)
        {
             // Create the time delay thread so that users may enjoy the splash !
             delayThread = new Thread(this);
             delayThread.run();
             // Initialise the number of rooms and the GuestList :
            noOfRooms =  numberIn;
            guests  = new GuestList(noOfRooms);
            // Graphics settings:
            setTitle("Hotel");
            setLayout(new FlowLayout());
           // etc. etc.
           // etc. etc.
           setVisible(true);
       }

        // A run method to delay the program opening:

        public void run()
        {
             try
             {
                  delayThread.sleep(10000);
             }
             catch(InterruptedException ie)
             {
                  ie.printStackTrace();
             }

        }
    Now, maybe a better way to do would be to go the setVisible of the manufacturer, the run method statement.
    Maybe there's something even better to produce a delay in the opening of the program.
    But I'm still curious why the main thread has been delayed by a delay in what is really a completely separate topic.
    Any ideas?

  • High Svchhost with starting the computer.

    There are also long 40 minutes for the computer to calm down after that SVCHHOST in the Task Manager is caused a delay.  This occurs when several programs are open as well.

    When there is a svchost.exe process that seems to run amok, I always first suspect malware.

    This is because some malware may disguise himself as a svchost process, or it can hide 'behind' one of your svchost process because he knows that you won't be able to see it in the Task Manager.  There are often many other processes and Services running behind these multiple svchost.exe process see you in the Task Manager and one of them could be malicious software.

    You should say something about your system and then run some scans to try to be reasonably sure that your system is not afflicted with malicious software:

    Since the Microsoft Answers forum does not have any kind of information system request when a new question is asked, we know absolutely nothing about your system.  Not knowing the basic information a problem prolongs the frustration and the agony of these issues.

    Renjith,

    flex_load_delay() adds a delay to the execution of a program on board, but he break a move, is not the valid function for your purpose. To interrupt the execution of a move, I suggest to use flex_load_velocity_override(). This feature allows you to vary the set speed of moving between 0% and 100% when running. Defining the replacement value at 0% actually stops the movement, while reset to 100% back the move.

    I hope this helps.

  • Icons displayed incorrectly at startup, the computer is unusable for several minutes

    My computer is less than a year, I'm running Windows 7 Professional, and for several weeks my computer acted strangely. When I turn on the screen displays properly, however some or all (it seems to change every time) of my icons appear as these things white paper folded. It continues for several minutes during which I can't run any programs, but I can use my mouse pointer and the loading symbol when I move the taskbar. After a 5-10 minutes (I've not timed, but it might be compatible), the icons to revert to the normal and my computer seems to work perfectly well. Any idea what the problem might be?

    When a Windows computer starts in place, some of the non-Windows installed on the computer programs also starts alongwith. In your case, it seems that some of these startup programs is responsible for the delay. You can disable startup programs and services non-Windows on the computer by placing the computer in what is called a "Clean-boot". If the problem does not appear in the clean boot state, you can track Windows service start defective or not programme following a policy of division and conquere.

    This process takes a little time. I would say by following the instructions in the following article to diagnose the problem:

    BUT I care about the speed and stability.  I was spending the money if he did my job much more quickly.

    CS5.5 is shot down on response times?   Right now in CS5 everything is great until my project becomes big, then it starts to become much slower to jump from Windows/all return to first.  He delayed 5-10 seconds until the program is available.  And of course with a lot of dynamic linking, goes to a tweat minor EI and come back to see it in first can become love if it takes 10 seconds each time.

    I also have the slow response time from where I support on both play the video playback.  Not at first, but after the project developed.

    Don't CS5.5 address this at all?

    Running at the same time? Do you mean installed simultaneously, or actually open and functional? Installed, Yes... and open... Yes. But work? Hmm... I guess, but it's going to be enough multitasking on the system, to the point where you would probably see significantly lower performance in both. And really - to be honest - how much work you're going to go down in two programs at the same time?

    Here it is; CS5 on the right, CS5.5 left!

    No way in hell I would want to work like this it's probably doable, but really, I wouldn't jeopardize the stability of a single application, because I thought that I would be more productive thanks to two
