• Deleting a group to a TDMS file increases the file size

  Hi all

  I was searching for information on how to delete a group in a TDMS file. Apparently this is not a simple task as I thought because firstly, it is necessary to convert the TDMS file in a TOC file, remove the group from the TOC file and finally convert the TDM in PDM file. There is a sample project really nice here (I have attached it in the post anyway!).

  This project works very well. Indeed, I am able to remove the group from the PDM file. However, I realized that perform the deletion process increases the size of the file (about 4 times). If you are viewing the PDM with the PDM file - file Viewer.vi you realize that several strange properties have been added to each channel of all other groups. I assumed that this is partly the cause of the increase in size.

  Anyone know why this is happening?

  I'm using LabVIEW 2014 and I downloaded the project for 2014 LabVIEW.

  The old way was to read each group that you want to save and write to a new file. The fundamental problem is that TDMS format has been optimized for speed and no memory efficiency, which can cause a lot of complications when you seemingly simple things - like the deletion of data, or reading the data of the file.

  That is why NEITHER came up with these new features. If you're stuck with an earlier version, you can always write your own function to do the same.

  You must select all the images you want to remove in now CTRL + click in Windows and command-click on Mac.

  Once this is done, you can press the delete button to delete the catalog.

  I need help with a script that will do the following:

  Delete all groups (including the layers inside) and layers so they are not visible - with the following requirements

  a. even if the group or layer is locked

  (b) even if the layers within the group are locked

  c. same layers within the group are visible, although the parent group is off

  Then... the required logic would be

  Is it group or layer turns off? Yes, then delete all independently of any other thing, OTHERWISE move on to the next layer/group

  Basically, I have a lot of groups and layers here and I want to analyze the layers to leave just the layers that are visible in the final document. Visible merge or flatten the will does not work as I want to keep visible and visible layers. Layers remove hidden does not work. And file/scripts/deleting empty layers does not work because the layers are not empty. They are simply not necessary.

  The other is round, but this should unlock all layers, after that delete hidden layers should work.

• ISE 1.3.0.876 - cannot delete the Group of network devices

  When I try to delete a NDG I tells me "this node cannot remove because it contains devices or subgroups.

  When I search in the peripheral topic network no devices are part of the group, and it has no sub-groups in this group.

  If you have checked everything regarding the configuration and we are still not able to remove the NDG group.

  In this scenario, that the problem is although the n group is not referenced for an any Nagels when we try to delete the n group, it will throw an error "this node cannot remove because it contains devices or subgroups.

  The reason for this problem is that previously when n use this group of n, and if we reference out of this group of n, "dereferenced" information only are not updated in the database table and thus causing the issue when deleting GUI. He still thinks as if it has references.

  You may need to open a TAC case for this because it will be access to the SQL DB of the ISE and you don't have access to him.

• Can not delete the Group of Catalog Manager

  We have a user who cannot connect in the dashboards. It seems that the error is because his user name corresponds to a group or a user with the same name. I say 'user or group' as the name of the object's icon next to what I normally see with groups of catalog. However, the object is only visible when is choosing 'display users and groups '.

  Remove Administration-> manage Presentation catalog groups and users
  You can go to find or use "View users and groups" and then perform a search.

  To remove a user, you can go to offline catalog manager and delete

  Had a spamer download a virus etc/security program, must have been when I need to open the firewall for a GOOD company. The program launched a scan and I couldn't stop him in time. The installation program with most of my Admin settings but changing some who, now, I can't make a NEW security group. Error messages are now, contact admin system. I can still do some changes, but not one that could blow him away from here, like uninstall MSN or a link that gave me. Indeed his program comes with a meny of options when you click the icon or it appears on the software uninstallation in Sys. Maint. screen.

  I would remove just everyone in step. You can do this by going to the upper right of the program and click program, and then click program management. You then select the members of the program to remove block then the next screen, you will see that you can either select the step they are in or you can remove everyone in the program.

  I need to edit a report that is in an error state. The problem is that I need to remove a group of columns in the criteria section. I understand that groups of columns can be removed from the results tab by changing the view. But my report fails to run in responses that blocks me to change the results.

  Basically, my bible app by default contains a bunch of different versions.  I want to give users the ability to remove some of them to save space if they want.  However, it seems that all the files loaded into ApplicationDirectory is read-only.  Is there a way to get around this?

  Unfortunately, at this time there is no way to do exactly that.  It is possible, that this is an opened in the incident handler feature request.  Or maybe I only remember others asking similar questions before, but none of us have actually submitted to as a request yet.

  Your options are limited to two possibilities (that I can think of).

  1 compress everything as far as you can, then extracted on the fly, or extract only the version that the user actually wants.

  2. do not include the content in the app Installer (bar leader), but have the app download data to a web service, you would be set up for this purpose.

  If you want a set of objects to animate separately, do not group together them. Instead block them;   (Arrange > Lock)

  You can add other objects to add and lock slide then those.

  Individual objects when grouped (Arrange > Group), become indeed a single object, unique objects have only an animation, all the individual objects that have animations will lose their when grouped together.

  Basic idea:

  You could sneak into a graphic placed in the group you are trying to watch.

  Add a group to a document.

  Place an image to the group.

  Or group with a placed image.

  Select the group, run the following code, and try to delete the group.

  Unfortunately the listener will react too, if you cut the group as well as its image.

  Hi Stephane,

  Archive of the first group. Then, once the group is archived, down down. You should then see the ability to permanently delete the group.
