  Regarding the original post, select the entire image (A Command on Mac, Ctrl-A in Windows), and then A (Ctrl A) to create a new document of the same exact size, then control V to paste the Clipboard command and finally to save the file under a new name and the format of your choice.

  You now have an identical file but without any EXIF info.

• Pre complains about SSL certificate on the exchange server

  Hello.  I just got a pre and tries to set up to communicate with an exchnage server.  Pre complains and will not set up the connection with this error message: «"SSL certificate error.» Is the date and time correct? ».  The date and time are correct, but the server is running a self signed certificate.  This causes no problems with iPhones that use a lot of people here.

  How can I fix it?  It is not all parameters for this problem.

  I spent the weekend trying to test and understand what was going on.  I found that if I nominated the e-mail server (name after HTTPS: / / in Setup) the same as the name of certificate displayed in the Certificate Manager (Launcher > Device Info > more info > Menu > Certificate Manager), the error should disappear.  The problem for me was that the name of cert in cert Manager was different from address of mail server (in my case server. [domain .local] instead of mail. ([Domain_name] .com).  The transformation it seems to use is:

  (1) find the certificate...

  (2) CN is HTTPS: / / in the installer?

  (3) If no, use error 'Verify the certificate, date and time not correct' (or whatever it is) - If Yes, go to HTTPS: / /.

  (4) Exchange requires safety pin?  If no, proceed to synchronize - if so, use error "unsupported of security policies.

  So I looked more closely CERT and it held several common names (CN) for the cert.  It seems that ANY OTHER DEVICE can filter through the list of common names, and use the one that works.  The Pre uses only (whether first or last, I don't know).

  So, there are two options for the certificate problem (I guess the 3rd is that you can return the phone):

  FIRST SOLUTION

  =====================

  (1) check the name of cert in cert Manager.

  (2) if it is a name that can be resolved DNS (i.e.  [mail]. [mywebsite]. [com]) then change this setting in your exchange installation program in the mail server field beside the HTTPS: / /.

  This will only fix it if your COMPUTER administrator has with permissions on the used field.  It is possible that an alias is used on other areas

  SECOND SOLUTION (as I have done)

  =================================

  (1) ensure that your Certification Authority is installed.  You can do it by clicking START > ADMINISTRATIVE TOOLS > CERTIFICATION AUTHORITY - OR - on a computer on your network using IE/Safari/Firefox and typing http://server/certsrv.  If the page is found, then you are installed, if not, then you will need to have installed.

  NOTE: SBS 2003 WILL AWARD A CERT TO THE IIS WITHOUT THE ROOT CA.  THIS SEEMS TO BE THE PROBLEM WITH THE AUTO CERTS GENERATED I HAD

  NOTE: IF YOU ALREADY HAVE A CERT ON IIS, YOU NEED TO REMOVE IT AS IT IS "DEFECTIVE" CERT BEFORE YOU CAN REQUEST A NEW CERTIFICATE.  YOU MAY BE ABLE TO REINSTALL OVER THE NEW CERT, BUT I DON'T KNOW

  (3) open https://mail.domain.com/exchange on your computer - display details of the cert and save the file on your desktop - if you are using a laptop, you can also install it on your laptop to use for use outside the Office (this is also a good back-up that you can use to get more later if needed again).

  (4) plug your pre in USB mode.

  (5) slide the cert and unplug the USB cable

  (6) go to cert Manager

  7) tap on the icon of "Sun" at the bottom left

  (8) press on the new file cert that you save in USB mode

  (9) to confirm that the new cert appears with the name of the correct mail server

  10) go to the e-mail program and configure the exchange account

  The above will create a REAL root cert (not IIS domain root Cert) that the Pre can work with.

  Really, I don't know that how/why Palm overlooked this possibility because they claimed so-called does not want to sell to companies who need strict security requirements.  For me, it means a small / medium company that has limited IT supports (according to the needs, pay as you or green guy with limited knowledge).  Then, why they test the GER in this environment, I'm not sure.  I bet they were tested on their own network, which has all the correct methods, best practices for the management of cert.  I guess it's like the developers that they have offended and almost lost their support until turned it over and said: 'sorry, we really want make you programs for our platform WebOS. • Alert about the Safari - browser by default

  I've updated to El Capitan November 25, 2015. Since then, I have essentially been locked out of Safari due to an alert that is displayed. It reads: "alert - any Safari these when you started to use it on November 25, 2015, then you could try Safari with your data." Below, there is a checkbox then 'do Safari, the default web browser'.

  The box is already checked, and Safari is my default browser. I uncheck, nothing happens. I check again, nothing happens. I am unable to use Safari, I can't access even preferences in the menu because everything is gray. There is a screenshot of what I see below, including the menu grayed.

  

  I have Google Chrome Canary installed on my computer (the regular Chrome would not work after that I updated to El Capitan), but I am unable to set it as my browser by default because it is a "secondary installation of Google Chrome.

  I'm usually fairly warned that I can understand things like this, but I searched everywhere (including the help of these forums... and it is possible that I missed something similar) and can not understand. I'm the only person in my office using a Mac (even who knows really well with a Mac) because I am a graphic designer here, so no work can help me.

  So, how can I make the alert go away? Do I need to run updates? I checked, but there is no any demo available right now...

  Safari worked fine, without any problems, until I upgraded to El Capitan.

• Alert about the NOOB - interface DIY to labview circuit suggestions?

  Good afternoon everyone,

  Long story short, I did not use labview in years and years and years.  I wrote code built-in to most and c# and the design material since my days of recording data.  As fate would have, I just become used by a very very large company that seems to have a love with Labview interest, so I will use to automate some tests and other whatnot.  For everything that I have, it is clear how to go.  I'm more concerned about how I could make interface labview for personalized, switches, relay, simple stuff like that stuff.  Maybe just control and not proofreading.

  So my question is, is there, and if so, what is it, a circuit interface that would allow me to plug and interface to a piece of custom circuitry.  I'm guessing a series or USB or maybe even an interface chip FTDI or something would seem logical.  I can do everthing beyond that, I don't want to go down rabbit hole if there is a proven simple circuit already out there.  I know there are few interfaces (myDaq?), you can buy, but I'm hoping to find a way that I can't buy anything and I can just incorporate some little project that I do.

  I googled around and have yet to find anything.  A general topology is good, a schema is better, a diagram with code source (if necessary) is ideal.

  So what you know?  and thanks in advance.

• Question about multiple certificates on a SAA

  I have a 8.4 (3) ASA5540 running which has AC certificates and identity of installed godaddy.com, identification of the ASA for remote user VPN (are using the client anyconnect.)

  There is also a separate certificate server located inside the LAN, which is used for internal purposes.  All the client workstations have this internal server identity certificates.

  We would like to be able to continue to use existing godaddy CA/identity certificates to identify the ASA for customers, but we would like to use the internal CA server to identify customers when they start up the session for the SAA AnyConnect.

  Is this possible?  I've seen other assignments that you can have more than one green on an interface, but it's a little different - only cert must be used to identify the ASA.  The other is only to identify users.  ASA has allowed me to import the internal CA cert.

  If possible, can someone point me to an example config?

  Your statement is correct.

  You can have the GoDaddy certificate to identify the ASA for the customers, this certificate of identity is that you apply on the external interface.

  Then, you can have certificate from another CA (Certificate Authority), in your case and CA internal to identify customers with the SAA. You just need to install root certificates and intermediaries (as applicable) of this new CA in your ASA.

  The ASA will verify the identity of the customer against all CA certificates installed in it until there is a validation of the certificate or refuses the connection.

  You use certificate authentication in the tunnel used by your customers Anyconnect group:

  tunnel-group Anyconnect-group webvpn-attributes

• Since I installed Firefox, I get CONSTANT security alerts 'expired certificate' when I go to most any website, even those I visit regularly. Help!

  Please see my original question above. Since I switched from IE to Firefox, I can't even to view Aetna medical claims. Even YOUR help site, had a notice of upcoming certificate expired and I had to click through the tabs 'override' to continue. I get "Security alert" for security certificate expired on almost every single website, that I will. I just keep clicking on 'Yes' when asked do you want to continue. It's horrible. I tried to use a page I found that told me to go to tools, then Options, then Web features to 'Allow sites', but it doesn't have the choice to click on «web feature»

  Just to be sure, check your calendar system date as it could be not current and some previous year or such.

• Delete a restore point is dated in the future.

  My time system had error default next month. (Today, it's the 4th Nov - the date system was fixed for December 4) When the created sytem one automatic restore point, it was created on 4 Dec - the wrong date. • At random intervals, sometimes twice a day, sometimes twice a week, I get a popup when searching mail saying my certificate is out of date. What is going on?

  I'm currently not a screenshot of the "popup" that says 1) my 'certificate' is obsolete and 2) click on 'ok' to make a permanent exception. There is a warning on the popup that is unusual. It happens both when I check mail or try to send it. BUT it does not happen all the time. I was not able to detect a pattern to his accident. I have multiple accounts on my Thunderbird, with different ISPS and I think that's happening for them all.

  As you can see in your second accessory, the cert for your server POP of Gmail was published by Bitdefender. It is not the original cert of Google.
  Thunderbird does not know about the certificates issued by Bitdefender and therefore give you the warning. It is unfortunate that most people don't seem to have any idea what certificates are all about.
  At the end of the day, this means that BitDefender is intercepting your connection to the Google server. They can see your Google password and your plaintext authentication token. It is not something I want.
  Your options are:

  1. accept that Bitdefender is interceptung your secure connection and install the cert of Bitdefender in Thunderbird as a certification authority
  2. ban of Bitdefender to analyze messages inbound and outbound on SSL/TLS, secure connections

  I don't know what you mean about your certificates have been lost. Considered is Firefox problems on many secure sites? It would be helpful if you could expand the 'Technical Details' section of a few pages of problem and paste that here to see what is happening.

  I just bought this model and there are alerts about updates of drivers. However the link will directly the specific driver file but the WLAN download support pages. However, the version of the drivers in download pages do not match the versions link alert. For example, WLAN LAN driver for Realtek RTL8191SE driver update is meant to be 2010-02-24 but the download page shows only a version for 2009.

  Can I ask you if everything is working properly on your laptop?

  If so, forget all these updates. They are only needed if you have noticed a malfunction or something else. Otherwise it s not necessary to update something.

• How can I update obsolete or damaged certificates?

  I have inadvertently deleted or damaged some of my web certificates. Now when I run Firefox 3.6.13, I get a pop-up saying the a specific certificate is not valid. I can't, for example, use the hand Invisible in Firefox Add-on, because the certificate is not valid. I tried deleting and reinstalling hand Invisible, but not luck.

  How can I reload a certificate invalid, missing, corrupted or obsolete?

  Rename (or delete) the file cert8.db (cert8.db.old) in the profile folder to delete all intermediate certificates that Firefox has stored by visiting secure Web sites.
