• IPhone 64 GB 6s shows only 12 GB total capacity

  I just got a new iPhone 64 GB 6 s last week. However, when I look at the about section in settings, it says that the total capacity is only 12 GB. I checked the product description to ensure it is listed as 64 GB and checked the model number that evokes as a 64 GB. Any ideas as to how this can be corrected? I reset all my settings, but that has not changed anything.

  Have you tried to plug into iTunes to see what is reported here? This total power is what you would find on a 16 GB device. Restore you this device from a backup of an old device? When you say that you have received a new device, it is an alternative service, or ordered a new from somewhere?

• Capacity Planner reports wrong CPU info for Fedora system

  I do an exercise Capacity Planner for a customer who has two IBM x 3650 servers Fedora Core. These two have 2 dual core Xeon 5160 of Intel processors. Capacity Planner reports the number of CPU as 3 however. Certainly, this should be 4 (2 x 2 hearts). Capacity Planner gets its information on processors in the file/proc/cpuinfo. I inspected this file (I think) that lists correctly 4 cores. I've included the output below.

  There are 4 cores... Heart 0-4, I think that capacity planner can be a problem with the counts of base 0. I would like to raise this issue with the people of capacity planner.

  ·         Will there be any changes made before this problem?

  Step 1: Disconnect all external devices (printers, scanner, USB (universal serial bus) drives, etc...) Except the keyboard and mouse and then start.

  If this solves the problem, then add back devices at a time until you discover the piece of hardware causing the issue. Then get any drivers\software update for the device.

  Step 2: Check the hard disk for errors.

  Follow the steps in http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Check-your-hard-disk-for-errors

  Note: When you run the disk check, there is a risk of data loss you can take a backup of your files before you run the disk check.

• Application of total capacity MD3000

  Hi - I have a MD3000 storage array and is currently considering adding more storage. I've been reviewing the current configuration and noted in MDSM this total capacity is 4.2 TB, but the drive of the Group (RAID 5-10 x 450 GB drives relief Inc.) only about 3.3 to has associated with it. Are we losing this disc ovehead or is something misconfigured?

  When it comes to the table and that it is a RAID 5 that it will take an entire disk for the redundant drive and it also allocates space for the bad blocks and meta-data on the disks.

• Capacity again VMFS is less than the total capacity of all extensions

  I recently created a new VMFS whose total capacity is not displayed. The "storage adapters" show all extensions.

  

  Total capacity should be well over 4 TB. However, when I look in the 'Storage' view, I see a little more than 3 TB of capacity.

  

  I just updated this server the latest patches for ESX 3.5 and restarted the problem remains. Any ideas what's happening?

  I do know that if I missed something here, but you mentioned in your original post that you expect the data store to be larger than 4 TB, however, looking at the extent you've added, it only amounts to slightly more than 3 to what you did...

  i.e.

  5 = 1.53 TO LUN

  6 = 1.53 TO LUN

  But LUN 7 does not seem to be 1.61 GB!  Is this right?

  Re comments made by RParker on button increase... It is only seen on the vSphere Client VI wersion, not on version 2.5, you use.

  Totals of parent: when you save data, financial management automatically calculates totals for the parents of members of the dimension hierarchy.

  ex: If you enter and save data for members of the hotel and meals, a total is calculated for total expenditures of parent. ; the data here does not aggregate members of parent until the consolidation occurs.

  Setting of the parent: if entities roll up to more than a parent, you can create parent setting. Adjustments of parent allows you to apply an adjustment to a child to a parent selected, rather than to all parents.

  Parent settings are available only for the entities of parent for which the application AllowAdjFromchildren setting is selected.

• Difference between file system capacity and the capacity of the disks in Capacity Planner reports

  I had to go on my Capacity Planner tool training soon, but I have a question on the front that frustrates me. In the evaluation report that comes out of the tool after the analysis, a use of disc section, which lists all the servers for analysis there. A column of this report is directed to file system capacity, another disk capacity. In all cases, the first is less than the latter. What is the exact meaning of these labels?

  Some of the numbers differ substantially between the columns, for example 20 GB for a capacity of 36 GB of disk space for a server and file system. He said that only 20 GB to 36 GB disk is formatted/partitioned to use?

  As previously stated:

  Disk capacity is 36 GB - physically, there are 36 GB of storage.

  File system is logical capacity - the amount of space used by files on the disks.

  File system and the capacity of the disks will never match because fees General table of file.

• Capacity IQ - reports of Virtual Machines

  Using CARON to generate Virtual Machines idle and too little Virtual Machines report takes a long time and sometimes never ends. Any recommendations to speed up the creation of reports?

  He has a bit of analysis that happens during the Idle, bulky and VMs undersized is.  Each virtual machine in the data center is analyzed individually, and if they pass the test, they appear on the list.  The time it takes to create the list depends on the amount of virtual machines in the data center and the amount of history is used.  We work to improve performance, but in the meantime, there are some things you can do:

  1. the amount of data used for the analysis is based on the trend display settings in the global settings area.  The default settings are 4 intervals of one week.  This represents about 1 month of data.  Sometimes, right out of the box, we recommend you to go every day until enough data is collected.  If you select daily and set the number of intervals to 30 represent a month, the amount of data to analyze is about 7 times more.  The first resolution is to set the number of intervals to something small and set the interval to something of superior as weekly or monthly.

  2. an alternative to a slow CIQ is to add resources.  If the device's CPU or memory limited, it would be beneficial to increase the resources for a larger environment.

  3. reduce the number of virtual machines in a data center.  VMware does not dictate the behavior of the Organization of the VMs system that a customer wants to manage, so we would not use this as a last resort.

• Measure the performance impact of a PowerCLI report on vCenter

  How will I know how much of an impact on the performance my powerCLI report will have on the performance of my Server vCenter?
