Delete app dock icon in El Capitan

I added several apps on the dock and were not able to remove them by dragging them out of the dock. They just do not move.

I watched the old answers to this question. The only one who seemed to have worked deal with entry into the Terminal. I don't want to do this at the moment.

Thanks for your help.

Have you tried two finger clicking on them > options > remove the dock?

    You do not press and hold.  You press VERY briefly until the icons wiggle and X in the upper right corner.  You can remove the application.  Not all applications (for example, settings, photo, Messages, pictures, clock) can be deleted.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones what's Dungeon Desktop Manager deleting my App World icon?

    Recently, I noticed that when I plug in my "BOLD" of Desktop Manager, he wants to update Basic apps and when he does, he keeps getting rid of my App World icon.  Not sure why...?  Can someone give me an idea as to why? Thank you.

    Why update you?  If you'e updated, so you should be good for awhile.  Sometimes the DM will say that you need to update when you have not really.  I have no idea why he removes appworld, but it does.  The app is still there, but the icon is hidden.  Just reinstall and it should be good.

    Failure of Options when you click the Dock icon to include 'Desktop in the display (number).

    I use an iMac 24 "mid-2007. The help documentation tells me how to assign an application to a space is to use this Option. But it does not, while the other three are. Is this an error or something that can be explained? Could there be a work around? My OS is El Capitan.

    Hi peterwhi,

    I understand you are trying to set an application to open its windows on a particular space. To do this, move to the space that you want to use for the desired application, and then choose 'The Office' in the list of options you mentioned see (under Options).

    OS X El Capitan: working in multiple spaces
    https://support.Apple.com/kb/PH21872

    The option that you describe as missing is displayed only if you have connected an additional external display to your iMac and would set the app to open on the iMac screen or the external display.

    Office on the screen [number]: the application opens in the current space on a specific screen (if more than one display is available).

  • Any way to keep Dock icons to jump?

    I have sensory processing problems. Animation hurts. I know that the jump is supposed to indicate alerts, but the alerts were never important, let alone sufficiently important to justify the migraine pain and potential. Is it possible to stop the cursed jump?

    (and the cursed cursor flashing in applications that use the Apple text tools and pain in applications that use Apple leaves, etc.).

    Marja,

    You've been given the steps in 2014. to restrict the cursor blink in the selected applications. Is it now does not work in El Capitan for you, or he was confined to the scope of application?

    The following can disable Dock icons which rebounds in El Capitan, or it may not. It is a Terminal solution. Only copy and paste commands of blue text and follow each line with a return.

    # Disable Dock icons which rebounds (except Launchpad) for this account

    $ default write com.apple.dock non-rebond - bool True

    $ killall Dock

    # activate Dock icons which rebounds for this account

    $ default write com.apple.dock non-rebond - bool False

    $ killall Dock

  • Dock icons have been removed, but appear in the Applications folder

    Hi, I ve had some problems with the dock icons. Since yesterday I can't see native IOS icons like finder, mail or launchpad. However, I checked my app folder and here they are with the same problem. No native applications as google chrome has had the same problem, but once I have check the option 'get info' allowing the application I have fixed the copy of the problem and paste the icon. When I try with native applications, I could not. I don't know if it's a virus or what, but my macBook takes longer to rise. You have the same problem? You have to be able to help me?

    In assuming that you already restarted your Mac, try the secure boot mode.

    Stop your Mac. Use the power button if you wish. Now start with the SHIFT key is pressed. This will start in Safe Mode, with all extensions turned off. Safe mode is slow to start, so give it time, it checks a lot of staff. If it works fine in Safe Mode, restart normally. If it works now, you are finished.

    If the problem comes back after a reboot, you have an extension conflict. Disable all extensions via system preferences. To isolate which extension is at fault, turn on an extension at the same time, restart in the meantime, until you find the bad Apple.

    How to reset the player to the original icons:

    (1) locate drive and right-click on it

    2) click on 'Get Info '.

    (3) click on the icon in the upper left corner (it should have a blue border after clicking on it)

    (4) tap on delete, and the icon should restore to normal

    (5) you may have to restart your computer

    I'm not a Mac user, but reminds me of the function of continuity that lets pursue something on another device, or discount. The definition of the procedure of transfer of the iPhone in settings > general > Handoff & suggested Apps, says that "transfer allows you to start something on one device and instantly pick it up on other devices using your iCloud account. The application you need appear in the lock screen, app switcher and Dock on Mac. »

    Hope that helps.

  • How can I delete apps on my iPad?

    How can I delete apps on my iPad?

    Press and hold the icon of until the icons begin to shake, then press the 'x' on the application icon in the top left to remove the application.

    Note that the pre-installed applications included with iOS cannot be deleted. In this case, there is no "x" on the icon and therefore, no way to remove these applications.

  • BlackBerry Q10 helps that I accidentally deleted my text icon on my Q10

    Help I accidentally deleted my text icon on my Q10 and may not know how to get it back... Does anyone know how?

    Thank you for your help. I was scared, it was the only way to get it back, and I also felt that it was a lot of trouble. I found an app that was free in the blackberry world called docushortcut that allows to make the shortcut icons and choose what they watch as I installed it and tried it... has been able to connect my texts with him through my blackberry hub... it comes with a red light on the corner, but at least I can access my texts quickly without sifting through hub. Its a little easier to try to hit this small envelope at the bottom of the screen lol. Thank you amel

  • HELP blackBerry Smartphones: I downloaded the upgrade for App World to BB 8900 and now the App World icon has disappeared!

    Hello

    I downloaded yesterday the BB App World 1.1.0.33 for my 8900 Javelin and just realized today that my App World icon is gone / hidden!

    I HAV to search all folders and it isn't here.

    When I checked my applications in options, it is quite there as being fully installed!

    How to 'show' or find App World please?

    jmrmb80 wrote:

    On the home screen is it hidden? Have you checked if it was hidden in the Applications folder or downloads?

    No it is not hidden on the homescreen as I put it to show all. It was not located in the downloads folder. I mentioned earlier that when I checked on the list of installed Applications, it was listed as being installed on the system.

    My solution was to remove the slice of the list of Applications, restart the device and then reinstall once more (I did twice btw). When I did the second time I checked the downloads folder and it is finally here! I hope this helps @ rcorai.

    Although I preferred pretty well if I could have located the previous app rather than delete n re-install!

  • BlackBerry smartphone App world icon

    I can't find the App world icon on my new 9900, I was on the Blackberry AppWorld and get a message saying that my blackberry is a device not supported. When I also try to connect on the Blackberry site its too slow and does not load correctly. My last phone was a 9700 and I got a little soft for my App World - even though my device says this is installed I can't find the app?

    Can anyone advise as to how I can get the blackberry app world app?

    Stu

    Could answer you my other questions? Difficult to help you if you limit the necessary information.

    • Uninstall AppWorld options > device > application management.
    • Scroll down to BlackBerry AppWorld > delete.
    • Perform a simple reboot on the BlackBerry this way: with smart BlackBerry poweredphone, remove the battery for a minute and then reinsert the battery to restart.
    • Now after operational return on www.blackberry.com/appworld and install again.
  • BlackBerry Smartphone App world icon is missing from my home screens and download

    I've upgraded to Blackberry App World version 4.0.0.63 on my Blackberry Bold 9780 yesterday. After re-booting the phone, my App World icon was suddenly missing from my home screen. It was not on my download screen. I could also find when you do a search for App World. I reinstalled from the Blackberry App World site. I always had the same problem. Then a friend suggested I have uninstall App World of settings: device: application management: Blackberry App World - and selecting delete in Options. I did this - and then re-installed App World AGAIN on my phone from the Web site. And the problem still persists. Do I really have App World on my phone or not? If I have it on my phone, how and where can I find the icon - so I can place on my home screen.
