  "Deleting" a file does not actually delete it marks just the space
  also available to be used. There are third-party programs that can

I don't remember what it was.  I changed my password of my Apple ID for everything, but will not change the password on my old phone.  I am at a loss how to erase everything because I don't remember the old password.  It is still listed in my devices in my Apple ID / account iCloud and I can click on delete, but I don't think that would erase everything, isn't it?  Anyone know what I can do?
