Delete my browsing history to older Firefox?

Hello

I'm just curious to know what is happening with my browsing history in Firefox. I have authorized in March and then has not used the Internet again until mid-April. Since then, I have not allowed once. At present, all of April - June seems to have disappeared, and June is the starting point of which my story currently trails on so far, August.

I'm the only one with access to this machine, and I don't have a pretty good memory to remember if I did or not not clear history, I did not. Firefox hides history after a certain period of time? Or could thing go? I wouldn't know that I my story at my ease, if I can go back and check if I need to find some old information/references.

I would appreciate a response to this, that the Internet doesn't seem to know a lot about this specific problem.

The current versions of Firefox keep a maximum number of page visited and have no limitation in time for the story.
Firefox automatically determines the number of pages can be kept without affecting performance.

You can see the current value of the maximum value of the read-only pref places.history.expiration.transient_current_max_pages on the topic: config page.

Delete cookies will cause sites to lose some information about you.
Cookies are often used to record your logged in status and so deleting cookies can connect out of the sessions on a website. Deleting cookies can also mean that you must identify you again on sites that use cookies to remember you connected initially and want to stay connected or to be connected automatically to a later session

You can use Firefox to store the connection information in the Manager password, possibly protected by a master password, these are not cookies and remain after deletion of cookies

  • How can I delete the browsing history but keep bank account numbers etc.

My financial institution recommends to delete my browsing history after that I have signed. I can do this without removing the bank account numbers etc. I don't understand the descriptions of cache, cookies, etc.

I guess you want to keep your cookies but not your history. You can select what is removed when you close Firefox in Options > privacy > select "use the custom settings for history". Once you have finished, click on 'Settings' in front "Clear history of Firefox closing" and uncheck the box 'Cookies' and 'Site Préférences'.

Firefox instant guard of your bookmarks over time so that you can restore to an earlier date. You can try the procedure of recovery described in this article and see if Firefox lists all earlier dates you can choose: restore bookmarks from a backup or move them to another computer.

  • Delete the browsing history in IE8 problem - Windows XP.

I tried to remove IE8 browsing history using tools/Internet Options.  I have Windows XP.  He ran for more than 2 hours before I canceled it.  I have not had this problem in the past.  Why does it takes so long and is there a problem with my IE?

Try to close Internet Explorer, then:

    Go to start, control panel

    Double-click Internet Options.

Delete the browsing history from here

If it runs for a long period of time, try to restart your computer and do the steps above before you open Internet Explorer.

Let me know if it works. I have more options, just try it first. Do not download not the cleaners registry or things. Usually, they cause more problems then they solve.

  • Deleting the browser history

When you use IE, how can I get all of my browsing history deleted?  I know how to delete the history on the tab "Tools", (story/Explorer/general tools/internet/delete tabbed browsing) and I do it, but when I go back to my browser and click on the drop down arrow, it's still there.  Hundreds of sites I have visited.  Does it only on my account, not on other users of this computer, and I am the administrator.

A nice man responded to this post and suggested that I have download ccleaner.  I checked the site for download, but you have to pay for it, and I have no income at this time.

Someone at - it any other suggestions for me?

What browser? If IE go to Tools / Internet options / general tab. Or the easiest way get ccleaner. Install and then start, close the browsers, go to the vacuum cleaner, then click on run cleaner.

  • I want to delete my browsing history, but can not access to the Firefox window.

My Firefox has been implemented by a COMPUTER technician to take me directly to ATT/Yahoo email. I can't clear the history, or access a Firefox screen to define who, according to the tutorial.

How do I do that in my configuration? What I'm trying to takes me to Att/Yahoo.

Make sure that you are not Firefox running in permanent private browsing mode (don't remember history).

    • Tools > Options > privacy > Firefox will be: "use the custom settings for history".
    • Uncheck the box: [] "always use the navigation mode private.
    • Press the F10 key or press the Alt key to bring up the hidden menu bar.

  • Why 'Download & browser history' compensation crash Firefox and NOT clear my history?

I want my Locator bar autocomplete erased. I use my computer for personnel, business and do not want my story showing on screen sharing meetings when you type in the browser.

    Firefox on Mac (Yosemite) 40.0.

    I go to:

    -History
    -Clear recent history
    -Browsing & download history
    -Click the 'clear now '.

Firefox blocks (beachball), wait a few minutes, still react not, must be "Force Quit" through OS X

Reopen Firefox, Locator bar always auto-termine. History still there.

Starts in Mode safe, disabled all add-ons. Always hangs and does not clear the history.

Disable AutoComplete in the location bar is not a solution. This is a bad solution.

If there is a folder or .js I could remove from the file system, it would be at least something, but I found nothing on these forums who instructed on how to do it. The only solutions are to disable add-ons, start in safe mode, click the button "Clear recent history" even making crash the browser. To try to solve this problem, I had to wipe all my open tabs, re - configure my workspace, all it costs me time and money.

I use Firefox because I'm a software developer and he has the best tools for development, but he is trying more and more to be a browser based on the consumer, as Chrome or Safari, and I hate those intensely. I don't want that. I want something that is a development tool.

  • How to delete the browsing history just by turning off the computer?

Original title: on windows vista why do Internet sites I have vista does not delete when I turn off my computer

The sites I visit does not delete when I I shut down my computer using Windows vista either on google or yahoo sites?

    Hi MistressCindy,

Welcome to Microsoft Community and we are happy to help you.

I understand from the description you want the navigation history to delete on shutdown.

Could you answer a few questions to understand the question:

    1. what web browser do you use?

    2. what version of Internet Explorer you are using?

I suggest trying these methods in Internet Explorer and check.

    (a) open Internet Explorer by clicking the Start button, and then click Internet Explorer.

    (b) click on the Tools button, then Internet Options.

    c) under the history of navigation in general tab make sure that Remove navigation to exit history is enabled.

    (d) click on the tab to remove, put check marks in the boxes for history, downloaded and click on delete.

It will be useful. For any Windows questions do not hesitate to get back to us.

  • How can I delete my entire history on Firefox except for history to download?

I want to delete my browsing history, cookies and cache, but I want to keep my download history, all that.

I can't remember what version it is, but after update, I deleted my browser history and noticed that my download history has been eliminated up to a point, before the update. The last time I tried, I could delete my cookies and cache and my download history was untouched.

I see in the "clear recent history" dialog navigation and history of downloads are consider one thing. It wasn't a thing before.

I want to keep my download history but delete my browsing history, cookies and cache.

Go to the Options window > Panel Privacy > history session click use the customized for history > clear history of Firefox closing then settings button is active click it, and then click except download history or other things you want to keep it > click OK to save, exit firefox and restart.

  • How to delete browsing history?

I don't know how to delete the browsing history

    In General:

Menu > settings > privacy > clear private data

It must call a list of categories and you can check the ones you want to remove and uncheck the ones you don't have.

An exception was noted in a different thread, if you have a certain developer put Android in switched on. Somehow it prevents the deletion history. (I remember the details at the moment.)
