Delete the workspace schema

I'm using the version of Oracle Application Express 3.1.0.00.32 - where can I remove "patterns of the workspace? I watched 'Utilities' as well as 'The Administration' (then I can click the "ask Database Schema", for example, but I can't delete them)...

Thanks for your help!

SFL,

You must log on as an administrator "/ pls/apex/apex_admin" and go to manage workspaces > Workspace manage assignments of schema.

Kind regards

Changes in the workspace can be performed using apex_instance_admin API methods ( add_workspace/add_schema/remove_schema etc.), even if this requires scripts must be run by a user with elevated privileges.

Once the required schema is associated with the workspace, the analysis schema can be changed using the apex_application_install.set_schema method in a script to import.

  • Connect to the workspace schema

    Hello

I wan't to connect to the database using SQL Developer.

I understand that I need you connect using the schema name and the password.

The problem is that I don't remember the password schema.

If I reset it to SQL commands using alter user will it affect my applications hosted on this workspace?

How to get the password for the APEX database?

    Thank you

    Banu Alexandru says:

How to get the password for the APEX database?

This isn't. APEX will only connect to the database as APEX_PUBLIC_USER/ANONYMOUS (with the exception where a FATHER has no username/password defined name). For more information about how work of the APEX and how it relates to the analysis of the used diagrams see:

This will not affect the APEX applications, but it will affect some thing/someone ' else that connects to the schema by using other tools.

  • Change of password for the workspace schema

    Hello

I assigned a schema to one of my apex workspaces.
Now, I want to change the password of the user associated database (of the respective schema).
I was wondering if this password change will have no (negative) effect (for example objects no longer accessible or similar)
on the workspace and applications within this workspace or similar?

    Thanks in advance
    Johnny

    Hello Johnny,.

As long as you do not use authentication database (and same user to connect) and another user to access APEX himself (as ANONYMOUS or APEX_PUBLIC_USER), you can change the password to what you want without any damage.

  • Auto how to grant additional on a workspace rights when creating the workspace

    Hello

We use APEX 5.0 and I want to GRANT additional rights on EACH workspace when it was created.

So that I need, after you create a new workspace, perform the following Manual :-(

GRANT CREATE SYNONYM, CREATE VIEW, CREATE the LINK DATABASE, CREATE the PUBLIC DATABASE LINK xxx where 'xxx' = Workspacename

However still a manual task is not a good approach
I wish I had the default GRANTS and others above, automatic!

Is there a feature or setting that can do it for me?

Maybe there's a default template that I can modify for my needs?

Thanks in advance for your help

    concerning

    Detlef

    Detlef salvation,

If you use the Admin app Instance to provide patterns and new workspaces, you can simply add grants to the APEX_GRANTS_FOR_NEW_USERS_ROLE role. When APEX creates the workspace schema, he travels all privilege that has been granted to this role and he gives to the new user. You may need to grant privileges WITH GRANT OPTION to APEX_050000 (and again when the power to APEX_050100, etc.).

  • How can I remove duplicates "ESSENTIALS" in the workspace?

The problem is the audit program, I typed the word ESSENTIALS and saved. But you cannot remove, even after you choose for deletion.

I tried to look (search bar) for the folder in the program installed in file. There was no file.

Tried to reinstall the program and delete the program folder it came with, still no luck removing duplicates after installation again. Tried 3 times.

I went to manage the areas of work/manage Workspace to assignments/changing the workspace naming scheme.

    Hello

It has no function in the APEX to drop the database schema.
You must file schema by yourself.

  • Cannot delete the files of the ECO in the workspace

We set up a new environment of EMP 11.1.2.2 (Reporting and analysis) on Linux. In addition, we have a box of windows for customer analysis and web studio IR. Our repository is an Oracle DB. We imported about 186 files OCÉ in our workspace via LCM. When we try to map a file OCE in a BQY file, under its properties, we are not able to find the required files of ECAS. The drop-down list gives only the top 100 ECO files, alaphabetical. And files OCE, we need are not there. We are sure that we have all 186 OCÉ files imported successfully. And we are not able to find a way to delete the ECAS that we don't need.

All the world is facing a similar scenario? Please suggest a work around for this problem, so that all the files of the ECO will appear in the drop-down list.

    Thank you.

    Hi Ravi,

    You can try the below

    1. in the workspace, go to navigate > administer > Reporting Analysis > Services

    2. right click on the service of Reporting Analysis Framework

    3. Select Properties

    4. Add a new parameter to JAVA_OPTS option:-DMCL. JDBCFetchMaxRowSize = XXX. For example, a value of 200 will display 200 OCÉ files in the workspace.

    5. save changes

    6. restart all R & A services.

    Hope this helps

  • How to change the default schema of a workspace?

We have a workspace associated with two SCHEMA_A and SCHEMA_B patterns. We started with the SCHEMA_A (default schema) schema (for many years), then SCHEMA_B (additional schema) has been added to the workspace. Unfortunately SCHEMA_A is no longer used, all the work is done in SCHEMA_B.

How can I change the default schema of a workspace? I found the following discussion (How to remove the schema from a workspace by using the admin account which solves the mystery of how to remove schema binding (last entry in the thread). A 'simple' solution would be to drop the current workspace and create a new with the same name, but this is not possible, because we have many developers, application and database servers, where we would have to implement the 'changes '.

    Thanks in advance...

    Hello

You can't remove assignment primary schema. However you can change it.

  • Log-in inside the workspace
  • GoTo manage Workspace-> manage assignments schema
  • Remove the assignment for SCHEMA_B diagram (you must make sure that no app uses this schema in the schema of analysis)?
  • Schema allocation of SCHEMA_A to SCHEMA_B change

  • List of the authentication schemes current for Applications in a workspace

    Hello

I have a request by our verification service to give them a list of applications and that the authorisation schemes they currently use. Does anyone know how to get there?

  • URG: How can I force APEX to use the specific schema: spaces of work APEX_040100 or entitled to another schema?

    Hi all

    Here's the scenario:

    1. My computer crashed. were to return to complete export (expdp 11.2.x to impdp 12 c). successfully done.
    2. Configured ADR blah blah... can access the admin of the apex.
    3. Problem is: administration interface does not SEE my workspaces apex Apex (only the workspace IN-HOUSE).
    4. After investigation it seems that APEX (after the upgrade) is somehow configured / run with: schema APEX_040200 and not

APEX_040100 (as I have improved Apex in the old database versions).

    5. If I'm running the following:

    ALTER session set current_schema = APEX_040100;

    Select short_name, display_name

    of wwv_flow_companies

    where source_identifier is not null;

I SEE all my beloved workspaces.

    6 my questions:

    a. How can I force APEX to use the specific schema: APEX_040100 instead of APEX_040200?

    b. or are there other alternatives to assign these workspaces in the current environment?

    Hello Brad,

Thank you for your response. Appreciated.

    • Yet, as I had a little corrupted environment Apex after import (impdp), COMPREHENSIVE database this method of revocation (above) has failed several times to me.
    • Here's what I have (solves the problem):
    • Deleted APEX_040200 Apex 4.2 installation().
    • Text left in DB is the only APEX_040100
    • Then, the version 5.0.3 and it worked!

More importantly, after the installation of APEX, all workspaces, users, etc. are automatically correctly resided in APEX.
    • I think that if you have only 1 version of apex corrupted in DB. It should work as well. Remove again, schema using the above script (check version) with caution (after backup, etc.).

  • x 360: delete the recovery partition after installing Linux

    Hello

My x 360 laptop with 10 Windows works fine. I just installed Linux dual boot (w. Windows 10) on three new partitions. The scores are as below. E, F, G partitions are Linux.

    I have these questions please:

    1. is the recovery partition (D) no longer, now that I have partitioned the disk? (I did a recovery USB flash drive when I bought the computer)

    2. is it safe to remove the recovery partition (D)?

    3. There is also a small partition of 980 MB. What is c? Is it safe to remove?

    Thank you

    YCC

Sorry, no.  You can not recover by using the HP Recovery partition after you change the partitioning scheme.

As it is now, you might as well delete it.

It will not hurt to remove it now because the HP Recovery works doesn'y work in any case.

I know Macrium Reflect can backup and restore Windows and Linux distros because I have tried it, myself.

    Good luck
