Connect to the workspace schema

Hello

I wan't to connect to the database using SQL Developer.

I understand that I need you connect using the schema name and the password.

The problem is that I don't remember the password schema.

If I reset it to SQL commands using alter user will it affect my applications hosted on this workspace?

How to get the password for the APEX database?

This isn't. APEX will only connect to the database as APEX_PUBLIC_USER/ANONYMOUS (with the exception where a FATHER has no username/password defined name). For more information about how work of the APEX and how it relates to the analysis of the used diagrams see:

    This will not affect the APEX applications, but it will affect some thing/someone ' else that connects to the schema by using other tools.

      Changes in the workspace can be performed using apex_instance_admin API methods ( add_workspace/add_schema/remove_schema etc.), even if this requires scripts must be run by a user with elevated privileges.

      Once the required schema is associated with the workspace, the analysis schema can be changed using the apex_application_install.set_schema method in a script to import.

      We are working on Hyperion 11.1.2.1. We have configured our MSAD for logon authentication. Strangely, few of our AD users can able to connect to the workspace (of course they can see and access anything be it inside) do not have access to all of the Hyperion products. They are not part of a group or that you have not any provision for access. My question is: is every user able to connect in the workspace, AD even if they are not provided?

      Please let me know.

      I had a similar problem (it quite some time but may not be the answer!). It's to do with the browser cache.

      To fix it I deleted the cache, /apex and bookmark navigated. Then I navigated to the apex/apex_admin and bookmark that. After that, I have more the problem. Don't know if this will help you, let know us.

      Now, I want to change the password of the user associated database (of the respective schema).
      I was wondering if this password change will have no (negative) effect (for example objects no longer accessible or similar)
      on the workspace and applications within this workspace or similar?

      Hello Johnny,.

      As long as you do not use authentication database (and same user to connect) and another user to access APEX himself (as ANONYMOUS or APEX_PUBLIC_USER), you can change the password to what you want without any damage.

      We use Essbase 9.3.1.2 and when I try to connect to the Hyperion workspace I get error * "you must provide a valid user name and password to log on to the system in the hyperion workspace."
      I am able to connect in essbase and shared services with success. I also checked the amount foreseen for the admin user and I have given all sufficient access to the BI title +. Can anyone of you let me know what needs to be done.

      I also tried to connect to https:// < Servername > / workspace/browse/configInfo
      Howerver, I get the same error.



      I also check the SharedServices_Security_Client.log under \Hyperion\logs\BIPlus\SharedServices_Security_Client.log. Find the info for the same thing.

      The configuration of your workspace are may not be incorrect. normally, these errors are fixed by re-deployment of the component of the slightest error by using the configuration utility - workspace in your case...
      Of course, if it's the production, you can open a SR with Oracle.

      You must log on as an administrator "/ pls/apex/apex_admin" and go to manage workspaces > Workspace manage assignments of schema.

      I went through this link fixed - ORA-01033: ORACLE initialization or shutdown in progress | IT Blogger Tips , where it says to change the status from the db to 'OPEN'.

      This issue seems to be with the redo log.

      SQL > bootable media.

      Can what API calls and method be used to determine who is logged on BPM 11 g? Given that a lot of people can be assigned to a role or a human task (using dynamic task assignments) how can we determine who the current user is?

      The use case is a user connects to the workspace and runs the human tasks assigned to him. In the ADF UI, we use controls to database to view, update, and create records of database associated with this task. The tables have information of audit as: LAST_MODIFIED_BY and MODIFIED_DATE. These fields or columns must be updated with the user ID and the date current system when data is modified in the tables.

      The problem is that I know how to find the user but that the task is assigned, if the user is a delegate or process owner, how do we know? Also, if many people assigned to the human task, how can we find out who we're actually at work on the human task? In other words, the current user logged on?

      In the ADF workflow, I have access to a SystemAttributesType object that contains a lot of useful information, such as the list of rights holders. The problem is it seems to give me information on who is currently working on this issue (the user). Here is a snippet of code for how I got to this object. It is a method in a managed bean that is associated with the workflow.

      However still a manual task is not a good approach
      I wish I had the default GRANTS and others above, automatic!

      Is there a feature or setting that can do it for me?

      Maybe there's a default template that I can modify for my needs?

      If you use the Admin app Instance to provide patterns and new workspaces, you can simply add grants to the APEX_GRANTS_FOR_NEW_USERS_ROLE role. When APEX creates the workspace schema, he travels all privilege that has been granted to this role and he gives to the new user. You may need to grant privileges WITH GRANT OPTION to APEX_050000 (and again when the power to APEX_050100, etc.).
