Deleted still accuse of printer as your choice?

I have a printer that has been uninstalled / removed.  When I go to print anything, it still appears in my choice of the printer list.

If I reinstall the printer, it installs successfully but as (copy 1).  If I try to use the original name, it won't allow me and said: 'another printer uses this name. Obviously, it is not completely removed.

How delete this entry on the other so it does not appear as a choice of the printer and I can reinstall with a common name?

It is NOT listed in my PRINTERS / screen DEVICES.

I use Windows 8 Pro

I had this problem and worked for me as follows:

  1. Open "Administrative Tools", then "print management".
  2. Select "all printers.
  3. Find the printer in question - in my case, the State was something like "Deleting - offline" and there was 1 in the work queue. I click right, 'cancel all selected jobs' and the printer disappeared immediately.

You are not quite correct.  Some newer wireless printers have only a wireless connection.  No USB port and a standard Ethernet cable port.

    Hi azza675,

ExportPDF converts PDF files to Word and Excel formats (and many others). What you describe, sounds like you are trying to convert a file * to * PDF. Have you ever started a trial of Acrobat, maybe? (So that you can create PDFs with Acrobat, ExportPDF don't allow you to convert files to PDF.)

What happens when you connect directly to ExportPDF to https://cloud.acrobat.com/exportpdf?

    Best,

Your question does contain all of the required information. Please provide us with the following information.

    1. have you recently updated anything on your computer before this problem?

I suggest you follow the methods below to solve the problem:

    Method 1:

Put the computer in a clean boot state and check if the problem still persists. Refer to the city link below to put the computer in a clean boot:

  • Canon BJC-265SP, but after Setup printer, still unable to print

I use the 64 bit and Canon BJC-265SP, window but after Setup printer, still unable to print. The installation works fine with 64 bit window.  Please advice.

    Hello

    1. What is the error message you get when you try to print?
    2. what operating system is installed on your computer?

If you use Windows 7, check if the Canon BJC-265SP is compatible with the operating system on the Compatibility Web site (your device is however not listed).

I suggest that you run the utility troubleshooting printer and check if that helps.

You may need a new adapter > device manager type in the search above the Orb box > click Device Manager > click on the little arrow display adapters > note the name of the display adapter.

Then an internet search using the name of your model and the name of the computer and check the updates for your adapter.  If you give me the exact model of your computer name and the adapter, I'll see if I can help you.

  • How do you coneet a printer to your xp computer

    IM aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

    IM aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

Depends on the type of printer.  If connected locally, you connect the computer to the printer via the supplied cable and turn on.

You will probably need the drivers installed for the printer to function - so you can either use the supplied software (possibly CD) to get us to open or you visit the manufacturer's web page to download the latest drivers for this printer for your operating system and install them.

  • Still not get printer online

I tried all the suggestions but still not turn printer back online.  Failed to disconnect. Desperate, please help.

If you right click on the printer in the list of devices (start, devices and printers), choose the convenience store, he might find the cause and fix it.

Sometimes simply unplug the power of the printer to force it to do a full reboot works.

The simplest and fastest, usually is to simply click on the Add Printer button and re-install the printer.

Unable to print pdf files in acrobat.  Acrobat makes me ' Save as ', but still does not print the doc.  any printer.  have the latest version of the CD player

It doesn't matter if the file has been scanned or created in MS word.  regardless if it is single or double sided.   However, I can print the document in the application of Amicus Attorney, that makes me think it's a matter of acrobat...

Clear the PRINT TO FILE option in Acrobat.

  • Print jobs are still waiting and print never

Original title: "why can I not print - can send documents to the printer."  checked if for the spooler, new cartridges, and if it is set to the right printer - documents are in waiting mode, waiting so he could be treated.  "

Why can I not print - can send documents to the printer.  checked problems for the spooler, changed the new cartridges in the printer and checked if it is set to the right printer - documents are still in the waiting mode, waiting so he could be treated.

I found the simple solution to your problem, but the credit goes to R. Thompson to social.technet.microsoft.com in the Forum:

These steps work on Vista and Win7, I don't know about other versions.

"Go through the following steps to delete 'deleted' print queue print jobs."

    (1) go to the control panel

    (2) select system and Maintenance

    (3) select administrative tools

    4) double-click on Services

    (5) in the services list, scroll down until you find one called "print spooler".

    (6) make a right clic on "Print spooler" and "restart".

    (7) "suppression" of work will be lost and all work queued in your print queue to print"

  • Failed to delete document of network print queue.

We print to a HP LaserJet 5 using Windows XP.  2 positions are hanging in the print queue. Tried to remove Control Panel command several times and it shows just "deleting - printed" and "removal - print" in the State.  They have been here since yesterday, and we can not print around them. When I try to delete from the printer itself, it shows no jobs in the queue. I saw another post on the forum on this topic who advised to go to the print spooler, which I did, but then couldn't run the second half of the suggestion to go to the print jobs.  It is a network printer.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!   The problem was that I had to go to the file server to perform this function - my brain wasn't getting this fact.  It worked - thank you very much for your help.

  • Does everything except officejet 6500 still won't print black not - help!

    Hello

HP Officejet 6500 E709a, purchased in June 2011, stopped printing in black ink one day last week.  Quickly, I ordered new ink and replace the cartridge.  When he wouldn't even print I started troubleshooting and followed all the steps.  After cleaning the print head, a few letters of a printed page, but no more than that.  This gave me hope so I ordered a new print head, which was installed today.  No improvement, so I replaced the color ink cartridges and reinstalled the black cartridge, which all appear to be properly ventilated.  Still no improvement. only a few shadows black letters.  It is by generating messages "alignment" or "ink system failure".  So now, I replaced all the ink cartridges and the print head.  It prints color but not black.

Really, I love this printer and have had no problems in the past.  It's only a little over a year and I do not use it too.  I didn't do a new printer and now that I have invested $100 in ink and Geraldine Chief I would like it to work.  Help would be greatly appreciated!

    Thank you
