Installation recognizes my new serial number, but not my previous CS2 serial number should I enter that I don't have InDesign CS2 installed anymore (and won't it won't work in classic mode).   Manish says. You probably have a wrong upgrade package or your previous serial number requires must be converted to another, work in series. This is sometimes necessary for the OEM versions or edu packages that have been purchased through promotions and have a range of not covered in the standard upgrades special serial numbers...

  When you try to complete the tutorial for indesign, I get the following error when you try to add an article to my folio:

  I am able to create the folio then I click into articles. My 'WiFi_v.indd' document is opened by clicking Add article, but I get this error message.

  I use the following versions of the software (should be later).

  If you have a valid serial number for InDesign CS5.5, you can install it, please make sure that you check the minimum system requirements for CS5.5: system requirements for Adobe InDesign for Mac OS and Windows, as it is an earlier application and has not been tested on the latest hardware.

  Problem solved by renaming the folder SavedData. He created autmaitcally one again and error message missing.

  Here are the tips on how to temporarily remove entries of update:

  Go to start menu > all programs > Accessories. Right-click on "command prompt" and select "run as Administrator".

  Copy / paste the command below:

  net stop wuauserv

  And select OK.

  Wait for confirmation that the service is stopped.

  To remove the file, copy the following command at the command prompt:

  del %systemroot%\SoftwareDistribution\DataStore\Logs\edb.log

  Alternatively, you can remove it manually by going to the location in windows Explorer.

  You can restart the service with this command:

  net start wuauserv

  Note: updates will not be uninstalled but only entries will be taken.

  I wonder if someone can hgelp me the weirdest issue I'm having with Indesign CS 5.5?

  The second problem im having is this stupid novelty of 'design of the live screen', I changed the setting of all the options available, but when I do anything with any object, the picture moves then I wait a few seconds (between 2 and 10 seconds) before the object moves how to turn it off and it can stop being so slow when moving edition or anything like that?

  Yes exactly, I develop the layer.

  I'll try the object > select > content object > select > containers, but I really have not moved the content.

  I work always in a typical view in high quality. We only use .eps however files.

  Select the Omega symbol and press command + E. Then, following with command-F (find/replace). The Omega symbol will already be in the search text box and should show you a number found. Assuming that the number found is 1 and replace with the field empty, simply choose replace all, and the Omega symbol will be deleted. Tested with a background grey form with a symbol inserted Omega - Pages on OS X 10.11.3 v5.6.1.

• Customer has only the Indesign CS5.5. I've CC. Can I get the previous version to avoid the .idml files?

  At the moment we use two old Indesign CS4 to avoid the files downsaving. Someone said to be with CC, you can get previous versions too. This is the case, or is there another way around this please?

  No and no. Your customer needs to upgrade if you do not want to use IDML. CS5.5 was never part of the CC, it is not available. CC started with the CS6.

  I tried a lot of combinations, for example.itemByName("NAME");.item("name"), but none of them worked for me. I was able to select a frame by its index ("... masterPageItems [0];").

  You can not. myPage.masterPageItems is table of page elementsand not a collection.

  You need to loop through all the elements of the master page and search for items you want,

  or find maybe apply the master page, and then do something like this:

  myPage.appliedMaster.pageItems.itemByName ("NAME");

  Connect to the site of DW.  See the list of remote files.  Select the file.  Press DELETE.  He went.
