  Hi all, I have a Dimension 1100/B110 running slow and freezing in recent weeks. I put in a local computer store to get it sorted and just came back today. He took all my drivers and now I'm having problems with my printer I can't find the drivers on the Dell site that will support a Dell 725 inkjet with a Windows XP operating system. I seem to be going round in circles on the Dell site and I do not want to download many things I didn't need. Can someone point me in the right direction for a driver for my printer? I know that my system is old, but it is only for domestic use and do not know if there is any support for it now.

  In the batch of December of Windows updates, Microsoft has installed Internet Explorer 11. IE11 caused printer problems.

  Open Internet Explorer, click on help, then click about words of Internet Explorer. It should show the version here. If you IE11, then go to control panel, Windows Update, updates installed, look for Internet Explorer 11. Click Internet Explorer 11, uninstall.

  Restart the computer when you are prompted. Then see if your printer works.

• Epson Stylus Photo RX420 with Vista printer driver problem

  I have an Epson Stylus Photo RX420 Series all in one printer, copier and fax machine which worked perfectly on my old Windows XP computer.

  Unfortunately this XP computer has failed recently so I've upgraded to a new PC running Vista.

  When I try to install the Vista printer recognizes the device and research initially drivers preloaded to find the printer driver.

  He says so I need to use Windows update to download the right driver which I allow then (which is consistent with the information available on the Epson site that says I need to use Windows Update to get the correct driver).

  Windows Update, then go online and find the pilot, but finally errors saying installation fail due to a timeout problem.

  I have no other problems with Windows Update install the patches, fixes, etc. They all have download and install correctly and they should be larger in size than the printer driver.

  Any thoughts on how I can get the correct driver for this printer, download and install?

  Am tryint to install the control for a Brother MFC-9440CN Center, but guard give the error message - says need to install the Service Pack of Windows (R). Sought something like Microsoft and seems to not exist. Have you tried the other recommendation here: all programs... Updates Windows - Update of other things but does not solve this problem. Does (R) service pack exist? Does anyone have a link where this exact service pack can be downloaded? It's ridiculous how much time gets lost trying new softward FIX so that I can actually do my job.   Also, try to install the driver software of printer in compatibility mode, do a right click on the file executable/installer driver-> properties and select the Compatibility tab. • Dell V515W print head problem

  My printer has stopped working.  "I'm getting a ' there is a problem with the printhead" error.  I've cleaned and deep cleaned the print head.  Just before it began, my pages were all blue print.  Now, I can't clean clean/deep/align or anything because of the error.  The print head is not available for purchase from Dell.  The printer is 15 months old.

  My printer for several days would print my empty document.  First printing color stops working then stopped printing black. I followed all the instructions of the printer, and nothing happens.  On my screen of the printer, it keep saying: "does not." Insert a new print head.  I call dell (1-800-624-9897) and had them take over my computer to solve the problem with my printer.  The representative did a job through and found no problem.  They send me another printer in 5 bus. days. The print head is the problem.  Where can I buy new printhead in the future?

  I am trying to connect to the printer (hp business inkjet1100) that is connected to a computer running xp (sp3 pro) to my computer laptop under vista (home prem x 64).   I try to connect to the printer by going to control panel > printers > add printer > network printer > the printer name after what in fact share on the xp computer (the name displayed on the computer to vista so there no problem). While vista has attempted to connect to the printer (bless his heart), but had a problem (no surprise), he couldn't find a driver and asked me to manually find the .inf file. No problem, just download the driver for the hp site, right? Evil.

  Apparently there is no driver for my printer for windows vista, however there is a solution. You can use the drivers for the printer series 1000 and basic functions should work (I hope it includes printing). The problem is that workaround tells me to manually configure the printer (port, pilot, etc.), then reconnect the printer to the computer (the problem is the printer is not connected to the computer in the first place).

  Now I consider myself fairly well with the computer and fix most of the problems without help (and unfortunatlly end up helping a lot of family with their problems), but it's just annoying. I decided that it's time to call in the experts (from India).

  I choose the live chat, because it always seems faster and I haven't had one that had playing music while I'm waiting (some may consider something positive). The problem is that I need to find my serial number and product number. I copy down the 2 easily labled numbers, but that is not good combonation. So, I searched for 'find the product number', and I get a page just like what I get (finally some lucky). After clicking on printers, I get to a page called "find the name of your product." At this point, I give up on the hp site and just write down every number on the back of the printer. Finally the stars aligned and I can start to chat with someone. A couple of auto messages pop up and then he asked me to confirm the information, I'm just entered (if she was wrong how do I live chat?), then continues to inform me that my warranty has expired and it will be $ 25 for support. I ask him if there is any other type of support, and he says that the best he can do (probono) is to give me a link to a Web page on the site of hp (I've been there believe it or not), I thank him for his time and move. I hope that the expired warranty matter here (but if it ignores just this part that was a total lie just to see if you would really help a guy without a guarantee (to test if you were really good people or just simply...))

  The following has worked for me, allowing me to manually select the driver

By default, it is selected as "Local Port". Let it remain the same. 6. click on "Next".

  7. in the small ' Port name: "window, type the following command under" enter a port name:'

  NOTE: Names must be exactly the same. They are case-sensitive.

   

  \\computer name\printer name

  For example: If the computer name is 'John' and the printer name is "HPprinter", you must type the exact name with all characters, including spaces.

  I'm trying to get my scanner on my new Epson printer to work.  I'm getting the communication error.  Working with Epson they said that the problem was when I transferred files from my old XP computer to my new with Vista that transferred the old files and I now have an x 86 program file.  This prevents the scanner to work

• HP c309g-m printer driver problem

  I have a HP Pavilion dv6 2113 his laptop slot that W7 64 bit Premium & a HP Photosmart Premium printer c309g-m all-in-one. They are connected by a USB cable. (too many problems running a wireless system).

  I can't reload the printer drivers.

  Function printer still works perfectly, but very occasionally, I use the scanner & which almost always leads to problems. Tried to scan a document, but could not do this by selecting 'Computer' on printer window so used a memory stick but he saved the letter in JPEG not a PDF file. Strange! I couldn't change the setting in PDF format. And then got a message telling me that the printer drivers were not working. Went online, followed good advice to uninstall the printer software and reinstall. I tried this about 3 times using my CD (V14.1) & 3 times (v14.1) download from the HP Web site, but it still stuck to the last section. The area NEXT to the CONNECT YOUR DEVICE NOW is always grayed out so I can't complete the process.

  After uninstalling the software, the printer does not appear in the menu START > PRINTERS & DEVICES. After installing what it's going to go, I can see or add my printer in this area. In fact, the last time that I tried 2 printer descriptions were there: c309g-m & c309g-m BT don't know what BT means.

  Loss of printer drivers happened several times since I bought it & problamatic always seeks to sort out, but this time he won't answer. Any ideas would be welcome. PS I am reasonably informed with my computer, but not this technique please keep simple answers. Thank you.

  Hi all

  I have a 2950 that I want to install unbuntu 14.02 on and he has 5 discs.  (2) Player are 146 GB and (3) 2 TB drives.  I went into the BIOS and I do not see the displayed records.  Ubuntu was installed on drives 146 GB that are mirrored.

  Readers are in the following location:

  146 GB: Slot 0 only green light on top
  146 GB: Slot 1 only green light on top
  2 TB: Slot 2 only green light on top
  2 TB: Slot 3 double green lights
  3 TB: Slot 4 dual green lights
  vacuum: housing 5

  Someone knows as to why I can't see the disks of 2 TB or know any troubleshooting ideas?

  I was able to get Ubuntu installed on the server.  Looks like that the slot 0 & 1 have a raid configuration and the 2 TB drive are not...  Should I uninstall ubuntu to properly configure the raid?

  N ° we see lot of your comment, if you had actually been able to install it or no - if you had, then RAID should be configured already, at least for this table.  Your table with the 2 TB disks will NOT interfere in any way with what you did with your RAID 1 of 146 GB array.

  POST = Power On Self Test

  BIOS = accessed by pressing F2 during POST (prompt at the top right of the screen).  This will display the system settings for the hardware built-in, time, virtualization, etc..

  Because the disks are connected to the PERC RAID controller card, you will not see in the BIOS.  You enter the configuration of the controller (CTRL-R) card utility to see the drives connected to the controller (to the system connected by backplane).  You must look at the screen and wait for the charge during the POST controller, then you will see a prompt to hit CTRL-R to enter the controller configuration utility.  (MESSAGE contains several guests to enter the network, DRAC, BMC boot settings configuration for several different devices - the RAID controller, utilities, etc.).
