  Which one should I go for a 5400 RPM or 7200 RPM. I would go to 7200 RPM, as it is faster, but I read on the internet that the 7200 RPM generates more heat then 5400 RPM and my laptop is already facing heating problem. I had replaced the fan about 2 months as my laptop used to close because of the heat. The problem of heating has not changed, but laptop does not stop :)

  Anyone using the DELL N5010 laptop with a 7200 RPM HARD drive and he's fine?

  Any kind of recommendation will be greatly appreciated.

  Thanks for the recommendation. The sales in the shop man also recommended the same thing. I bought Seagate 5200 SSHD(Solid State Hybrid Drives) which is still better than the conventional hard drive. :)

Then I reinstalled the drivers and software from the HP website. I have updated Java also (I have no idea how much this has to do with my impression). I have my printer is off and unplugged for one minute before Relighting. I restarted my computer and now it seems to be printing normally. Praise the LORD!

  I can't get the upcoming cd drive in my computer and when I put a dvd in to view images on the drive dvd does not appear in my computer and nothing is happening on the dvd.  I wonder if it's the bios setting I have to hit f1 to get my computer to start in any case.   If you are using XP Home Edition, the built-in Administrator account probably doesn't have a defined password. You can start in safe mode, where this account will be selectable when connecting. It allows to connect and change the password of your normal connection.

  To start in safe mode, keep hitting F8 twice a second after turning on the PC until you get the start menu where safe mode is selectable by the up/down arrow keys, and then press ENTER.

  If you are using XP Professional, try to connect using the built-in Administrator account. You don't need to do it in safe mode (although you can if you wish). If your normal login screen is a display of the user symbol and hit ctrl-alt-del twice to get to login to text entry. Type administrator as the user name and try a blank password.

  Hello and sorry for this late post. Just had this problem... If there is nothing wrong with the AC adapter, it's a software problem.

  Close the laptop... Unplug the AC adapter / CC... Remove the battery... Plug the power adapter... Start the laptop... Go to the control panel... Find and select the Device Manager... Batteries, left click... Uninstall Microsoft AC Adapter, uninstall Microsoft ACPI compatible with battery control method... In fact, uninstall all you can under the batteries, but that should be all there is. It will be re - install when starting... Stop cell phone... Remove the AC adapter / CC... Replace the battery... Plug the power adapter... Start the laptop... Now, everything should be good.

  Try the following.

  First of all, regarding the manual of maintenance on the link below--remove and reposition your bars of memory.

  If the above makes no difference, and you have more than one Module of memory installed, try the following - if you have only 1 Module installed, try in the other available slot.

  Again, regards to the manual on the link below, delete one of your modules from memory and then see if the computer will start.  If it doesn't, try the same module, but in another location.  If it is still won't start, try the other memory module in both slots, to see if any combination will allow the laptop to boot up normally.

  The procedure for withdrawal of these modules is detailed on Page 50 of your maintenance & Service Guide.

  All programs will be closed (when stop or restart) and I think that OS will also close. But the laptop will not turn off. Power LIGHT and fan will stay on.

  Whenever I have to turn it off by holding the power button, otherwise the battery will be discharged.

  After manual turn off, when I turn it on again, everything works correctly:

  Black screen, hold down the ctrl and alt keys and press delete.

  Select Task Manager.

  Click on file and select the new task.

  When the system restore interface is loaded, choose a restore point at least 48 hours before the log - it occurs first and then proceed to the system restore.
