  Just bought my new Dell Inspiron 15 (5558). There is an annoying problem with wireless connection - after sleep or sleep, it is not wireless reconnect automatically extended:

  Thanks for your time and your support. I tried your solution/suggestion, read almost all of the subjects with the options 'wifi connect' and etc... Nothing helps.

  ... But, after an hour of work and different "algorithms", I think I found the solution for my problem:

  1. the Device Manager; Network cards

  

  2. in 'Microsoft Virtual Wifi Miniport (both) cards' Power manager unchecked box with "allow the computer to turn off this device."

  3. in 'Intel (r) dual band Wireless' faces - case manager checked with "allow the computer to turn off this device."

  4. it seems that this movement has helped to solve this problem. Now, after hibernation or sleep my wifi mode will automatically connect.

  I just got my dell inspiron 5558 mailed today. Love so far, but they have a question about the tablet. On my old laptop, I was able to 'pages' button. I could not find a way to do it with this new laptop. I'm stuck using the scroll bar on the current Web page. I'll get finally a wireless mouse, but want to learn how to scroll to the time that I have mouse with me.

  I'm typing this on my Dell Inspiron 15R N5110, with a HARD drive installed where SSD original was 120 GB, Win 10 installed and the old HDD drive in a caddy bought on E - Bay and installed in my DVD drive Bay. I use the old disk to store all my music, pictures, Documents etc. keep it separate from the operating system drive.

  I recently bought a Dell Inspiron 5558 and noticed that my brightness adjustment does not work on the keyboard.  In the Bios I can adjust, when I can not in Windows, even when unplugged, full brightness.  I also noticed when I put my computer to sleep and to wake up with the ESC key does not work.   This Pavilion is brand new and only get like . 2 Mbps of speedtest.net. The download speed is normal, but the dwnload speed is terrible. Now, I still have my old computer sitting here and it is on the same network WIFI get 10 to 15 Mbps of speedtest. It's a dell inspiron with windows vista. This must be a matter of hardware/software.   I have this SAME problem.  I just bought my m6 Pavilion three days previously and immediately noticed that the download speed is very slow.  In addition, a lot of things people recommend this site do take into account that the laptops are brand new, the parameters are already factory installation and things are not running in the background whenever we try to download.  And just like the original - poster I have my old laptop awkward, almost dead here and it's the things download 5 times faster than my new laptop.

  Also, I found another post online from a user in HP Pavilion, who bought a new laptop and this is the slow download.

  So taking all this into account, a PERSON LOGIC CAN CONSLUDE THAT THE PROBLEM IS WITH the computer PORTABLE PAVILION.  Yes, is there an employee HP mans this site who can lift this problem and come back with the official HP answer to why this problem occurs?  I will definiately go online and noted the low ratings sites flag if I don't get an adequate response.

  Have you thought about asking on a forum of Dell? You can get better answers.

  In the meantime, I would recommend a virus scan with Malwarebytes Antimalware. And if you provide a list of programs on your system, we might be able to give recommendations on what you can safely remove.

  More RAM might help. Go to Crucial.com and run their upgrade analysis tool. Who will tell if they have compatible memory and give you some suggested upgrade configurations.
