Dell Inspiron 5547 stuck on dell logo

Hi all

I just bought a computer dell laptop Inspiron 5547. In my view, it is originally shipped with Windows 8, but the previous owner upgraded to 10 Windows. I went into the control panel of Windows 10 and chose the option to delete previous users data and reset the pc. However at halfway in the reset, I got an error message saying "there was a problem when you reset your pc" and then gave me a few options I selected 'continue, exit and continue Windows 10 "but after that the laptop does not start. He sits on the dell logo and then goes black, then returned to the dell logo. I'm not sure what to do, and when I press F8 I can't access recovery. I have to reinstall Windows 10 from a USB? If I do how do I activate it as the original product key Windows 8 is not on the back. Thank you

If steps fails then I suggest you go to another computer and create a flashdrive bootable windows 10. I do not recommend creating one with a flash SanDisk(8GB) drive. Moreover, you will not need key product because it is built into the BIOS. The system should recognize when you run the bootable flash drive. Please follow the steps in the link below.

    Hello

I have an inspiron nine 5447, which was working fine until yesterday. If I try to start now, it's just stuck to the Dell logo and I can't go in the BIOS settings. I tried pressing F2 and F12, but the screen is still stuck at the same screen of the Dell logo. Can someone help me with this.

    Thank you

    Nikhil

    Hi Nikhil,

External devices (except AC adapter) connected to the computer. If so, disconnected the and try to turn on the computer.

If it's the same situation, and then turn the computer off. Key down, then and now the power of FN key on the computer.

In the case, the computer is blocked at the Dell logo. It's a hardware problem, contact Dell Technical Support in your region to replace the parts.

    I hope this helps...

  • True color has not applied the requested settings - Dell Inspiron 5547

I bought Dell Inspiron 5547 last wee.

Since day 1, I get error of "True color has not applied the requested settings" . Now running Windows 10 (upgrade of 2 days).

Tried to update all the drivers. Is there anyone facing the same issue and got a fix?

    Thanks in advance!

go to programs and features in windows 10, there you will find TrueColor application right click and press change, it will be to repair or reinstall the application. Even though I have upgraded to windows 10, true color works very well with me, yes sometimes it does, sometimes only. In windows update, you will get the update for graphics card intel it will be

Intel Corporation - graphic adapter WDDM1.1, WDDM1.2, WDDM1.3, WDDM2.0 graphics card graphics card graphics card - Intel(r) HD Graphics Family

just to update these things also, I remember seeing somewhere on the internet that intel could be the culprit for this problem.

After that repair is TrueColor 99% chance that it work.otherwise uninstalls true color and redownload it from there

Last thing, I would say, is dell people working on this issue itseems like they said to my friend who had the same problem when he called. wait patiently they release the fix.

  • Inspiron 2330 all-in-one, white screen on startup after Dell Logo

    Hello

I just bought an Inspiron One 2330 with Windows 8 this week which was working fine until today.

When I go to it starts, I get the Dell logo and Windows 8 points floating around in a circle below. When these disappear after five or six seconds, as often happens with the boot process, nothing happens. It allows access to the screen of Windows 8 with time and this landscape of space-age thing, but now I get nothing, just a blank screen.

Please could someone help? Everyone knows this?

    Thank you

    Hywel

I thought that I will answer my own post because I have not managed to solve this problem after the effort of several hours.

I managed to enter the automatic repair of Windows by following these steps. After ignition, the Dell logo appears then the swirling circle. Is immediately turned off by pressing the power button until it stops. Repeat 2 times more, how the computer would decide that Windows fails to start, so it should start the auto repair.

The automatic repair feature spotted that there was a problem with the video driver (as I suspected) and disabled. I could then restart normally and use system restore to return to a game without the danger of drivers, before I was running Windows Update.

  • Dell XPS 15 9530 Boot stuck at the logo

    Hello

I have a Dell XPS 15 9530 with only 10 of Windows installed. After a simple reboot that I noticed that the boot process has started taking a long time (> 5 minutes), but in the end, Windows starts correctly and evertything worked well. I run the diagnostic test and no error is returned.

Then I tried to restore the BIOS to defaults setting and now the trunk seems to take more time, I'm still waiting for 30 minutes ago.

The boot process stuck at the point where the Dell logo is visible (I think until all treated windows starts). It's the same thing if I try to enter the parameters of WOOD, so for now I'm not able to access the settings. I don't really know what to do.

If you have any suggestions, help me a lot :)

Start by pressing F12 at startup until a start menu appears - start the Dell diagnostics and run a test lying on the system, in particular the disk of hard/SS.

  • Once I turn on my dell inspiron laptop 1545 dell logo appears and then the screen goes black

Let me start by saying: I had similar problems before, but none of the usual works.  The other day, these two Windows Update kept popping up and wouldn't go away so I clicked finally allow.  Then the next day that I was on the internet and my computer froze, I tried to turn it off and it wouldn't if I pressed the power button until it did.  Then when I turned it back after the dell logo appeared all that I had a black screen with a cursor in the upper left.  I ran diagnostics and startup repair and nothing.  I tried to do the restore of the system once in couple with different points and nothing, I still get the black screen after dell logo.  Is there another way outside the reinstallation of the operating system, to fix (because I really don't want to lose everything I have on my computer - and no I don't save it anywhere)?

You can reinstall the OS without formatting the drive, all of your data in a folder named windows.old. You will need the Dell Windows Vista disc however.

    Follow my guide here: http://en.community.dell.com/support-forums/software-os/w/microsoft_os/1434.aspx
Start with step 3. (require reinstalling Dell DVD). Skip step 5 continue on step 6 to step 7. Install Service Pack 1 and Service Pack 2 (autonomous probably 32-bit) and stand-alone Internet Explorer 9. You must download these in step 4 with the system drivers as described (probably, use another computer and use a USB drive). Install the drivers as mentioned system. Activation should be useless since you use the Dell DVD in a BIOs Dell. At the stage. 12 use the automated to retrieve documents from Windows.old. Make sure you have everything and then delete windows.old.
  • cannot start after dell logo

I have a dell inspiron 1100 laptop that worked very well, but after updated windows update, it prompted my to restart the computer before changes can be made.  I have decreased the reboot a few times and then let it restart. now, after the dell logo appears, it empties & stayed like that for about 10 minutes, so I just stopped him. He did the same thing when I tried all the options in F8 & F12. I've tried safe mode, last know config., etc., but only with the same result as the original problem. I do not have any type of restore cd. I sent for a RECOVERY BOOT DISK CD WINDOWS XP VISTA 7 REPAIRRECOVERY,
that I should receive it by post. In addition to trying to see if I can recover or restore the system, is there anything else I can try until I get the cd, or is the only option, other than to take it to a repair shop? I checked with the repair shop & its $40 to diagnose & then however much to repair. I wouldn't mind paying the $40, but then I don't want to say that it would cost more to repair than to purchase a new (used) one of them. unless someone knows a ballpark figure of cost how much this type of repair. any suggestions or advice would be greatly appreciated. THX.

    Hello

Because we do not have the cd of Windows XP there is no troubleshooting step that we can perform. You can wait for the cd and follow the suggestions offered by Dell. Also check if you can get into the BIOS. If you are able to get the BIOS, load default settings and check. You can seek assistance from dell on this.

    I hope this helps.

  • XPS 10, 8.1 Overview, the Dell Logo, Dock

I installed the 8.1 overview the first day it was available and everything worked very well. What I've discovered since the update, is that I can only start my XPS 10 successfully if it is in the dock.  If I pull it out of the dock and try to restart that stop at the Dell Logo.  If I stop, put in the dock and turn on it will start successfully.

I know that many people have experienced the problem with being stuck at the Dell Logo after upgrade to RT 8.1 Overview, everyone knows the problem where the computer can start when it is docked but not when it is not docked?

  • Laptop will not boot after Dell logo.

Yesterday, I tried to start my Dell Inspiron 17 laptop. I bought about three years ago and have not had any problems start to date. When I press the power button, the Dell logo appears and then nothing happens. I removed the battery and held the power button down until delete static. I also tried F2, SATA has changed, but that has not worked. Then I tried to run the diagnostics, but I got a black screen. How can I fix this, or is something broken?

There's your answer - the hard drive is bad (the boot sequence hangs on the black screen because it can not find the bootstrap on the drive to continue.

Reinstall the drive (you will need a new, 2.5 "SATA laptop drive - hard drive, drive hybrid or disk solid state drive) that is 9.5 mm or thinner) and reload the OS (from the recovery media if all goes well, you did when you received the system) and you'll be all set.

  • "The operating system not found" message after the display of the Dell Logo

My HDU failed (Inspiron 5100 using XP Home).  I installed a new HDU, you use Win XP Home oem disk (object of Dell original lost).  Use the drive as a partition.

Now to start a 'Operating System Not Found' message appears after the Dell Logo is displayed.

Pressing on Ctrl/alt/del removes the message, and the Dell Logo displays of new laptop starts perfectly in XP Home...

I guess that's because I couldn't set up the small partition normally present (assume it has diagnostic data, etc.).

No way to delete the message?  (?? The BIOS setting?)

    1. Did you the latest changes on the computer?
    2. When was the last time it was working fine?
    3. You receive an error message?

    Method 1

See the articles below and check if it helps.

Computer stops responding with a black screen when you start Windows XP

    Method 2

I suggest that you start the computer in the last good known Configuration mode and safe mode, post back with the result.

    Method 3

If the computer can boot in any mode, then I suggest that you perform the clean boot procedure and check if it helps.

It is possible that some third-party programs installed on the computer is causing the problem.

To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows XP by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

See section to learn more about how to clean boot.

Reset the computer to start as usual

When you are finished troubleshooting, follow these steps to reset the computer to start as usual:

    (a) click Start, type msconfig in the search box and press ENTER.

    (b) If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password or click on continue.

    (c) under the general tab, click the Normal startup option, and then click OK.

    (d) when you are prompted to restart the computer, click on restart.

Start the computer in safe mode (press F8 continuously immediately after power and don't worry beeps when you press the button) and let it boot without a network.  Once there right click on the desktop and then click Properties.  Click settings and the value of the monitor mode (640 X 480) VGA or SVGA (800 X 600).  Accept the changes and restart the computer.  You should have a mediocre screen, but you should see it now.  Download and install the appropriate drivers for your video card in the laptop to the web site of the manufacturer of the laptop.  Install the drivers and then you should be able to set the display of the laptop to the correct native resolution for your computer monitor (must be in the documentation of the laptop).
