DELL INSPIRON 5548: PROBLEMS OF DRIVER WEBCAM

Hello

I recently bought a 5th generation Dell portable computer 5548 with recognition software preinstalled facial quick access. After a month of using the facial recognition software, it took a license purchase. Because I wasn't ready to continue with the service, the software application has been removed (Uninstalled). Earlier this week, I wanted to make a Skype video call only to find out that my webcam was not working with my Skype. I also discovered that I didn't have any webcam software on my PC. I looked through the available software and drivers for my PC on my drivers and software page but didn't see any software on webcam services there. Please advise on the software suitable for use and a link to the download page.

Thank you.

Hi Iman,

Thanks for writing on the Dell Community Forum.

May I know if you are able to see other devices or devices with yellow/red symbol in the Device Manager?

Please try to install the chipset driver and the Dell Webcam Central software from the link below:

  • Dell Inspiron 3521 problem concerning "audiodg.exe.

Sometimes I have a laptop Dell Inspiron 3521 with Microsoft Windows 7 Home Premium 64 - bit with a Realtek HD audio driver. The problem is that whenever I run a Flash-supported page on my Firefox browser, audiodg.exe (and it is a real process of Windows Audio) consume a very large amount of physical memory on my computer up to 997 MB, establishing the audio matrix until I close the browser. Then when I open the browser again, the problem starts again.

I tried to solve the problem using the method of "improvements", but it failed for some reason as evidenced by the photo:

There is no option tick 'disable all improvements' in there, and all the improvements are unchecked. All they have is the tick "immediate mode".

I have also all my updates installed on my laptop, but the problem persists.

Is it possible to fix this so that the problem of the use of the high memory caused by 'audiodg.exe' will be gone for good?

Hello. It's the first time I saw a screen shot of improvements to properties of speaker who had not "disable all improvements. My laptop has also 7 64-bit but with IDT and it has. Maybe if you switch from the native Windows driver Realtek driver will answer box "disable all".

    1. open Device Manager (type devmgmt.msc in the search box).
    2. develop the 'audio controllers, video & game' and right click on "Realtek High Definition Audio".
3 Select this option to "Update driver software".
    4. click on "Browse my computer for driver software".
    5. click on "Let Me pick from a list of drivers on my computer".
    6. put the "Show compatible hardware" check box if not already checked.
    7. in the list of devices, click on 'High Definition Audio"(native driver).
    8. click on "next".
    9. in the update driver warning box, click 'Yes' (the driver).
10 restart the portable computer if you are prompted. If not invited, so no need to restart.
[To return to the Realtek driver, do it again but reverse the names in steps 1-6.]

If you use the latest Realtek driver (6.0.1.6788), you might want to try the old Realtek 6.0.1.6690. The former driver installation requires to remove the most recent in Device Manager and choose the delete files option.

  • Dell Inspiron 8200 + new HARD drive

I bought a new hard drive for my Dell Inspiron 8200. But when I tried to install it I was faced with a problem. It seems that Seagate IDE 80 GB at 5400 RPM to the manufacturer S 9 1038-508 does not work with my laptop even if the sellers at the store assured me that it would work. As far I can see what the proplem that the pins on the HARD drive is not taking the laptop and the HARD drive box blocks 4 pins on the hard drive. But frankly say, I am surprised because the hard drive installed perfectly in 2 other laptops. He was spending money for nothing, or am I wrong?

  • Boot Dell Inspiron 560 problem

    Hey,.

I've had my Dell Inspiron 560 with Windows 7 for about 4 months now and a few days ago I was turn my computer as always and as I do the light is solid blue and I can hear the fans start to move, but my screen is black. I know that the problem is not my screen because I unplugged and plugged back in as "Dell" screen and then the screen would go to power saving mode. I unplugged and plugged all the cables and I will always have this problem. I've also pressed the power button and I it would hold for about 3 seconds until I hear it turn off with a beep. Please help me.

Yes, the motherboard is a replaceable part and can cost $100 +, as well as S & H, these motherboards are generally used, alias "renovated".

But, if the motherboard needs to be replaced, before you buy, check the cost of the purchase of a computer, nine or of occasion.

  • Connection user other Dell Inspiron 1525 problems

I have a Dell Inspiron 1525 and am unable to reach the Windows desktop. Embedded is Windows Vista, I tried almost all the options through the start screen Safe (F8). I resorted to Easy Recovery Essentials for Windows SystemDiscs.com download - allowed me to access the drive, but not to fix it.  I also tried Windows Defender Offline tool nothing helps.

In things now, the laptop boots up to the point where 'another user' login screen is displayed, and no password on Earth will allow you.  In addition, no matter how many times F8 is hit, the splash screen does not appear.

I have managed to copy all personal information off the drive, but I am not prepared to accept that the only solution is to buy a new hard drive.  What about windows
platform?  What I have to buy a new copy of the said so?  Why not just take the loophole to buy a new laptop? Is there anyone here willing to put their knowledge and experience to the table?  Sorry to her grumpy - any help would be greatly appreciated. Just an honest effort to try is all I ask.  Thank you very much in advance.

    Hi Kestrel316,

OK, let's take it step by step. First, you must determine if the disc material is good or faulty. To do this, start on your drivers and utilities Dell disk and run the Dell diagnostics.

To test your hard drive using your Dell Drivers and Utilities disc:1. Reboot your system. When you see the Dell logo, hit F12 to enter the boot menu.2. Insert the Dell Drivers and Utilities disc in your CD/DVD drive.3. Pick the option to boot from the CD/DVD drive.4. You will be prompted to hit any key to continue booting from the CD/DVD drive.5. You will be prompted to hit 1 to run the Dell diagnostics. You may see two such menus.6. Select Test System.7. Select Custom Test.7. Use the arrow keys or mouse to select your hard drive.9. Click Run Tests.10. Write down any error messages.

Second, if you need a replacement. Your Inspiron 1525 requires a laptop SATA hard drive. They are fairly easy to find at any electronics store or online.

Third, you the disks to reinstall Windows from Dell. You DO NOT need to buy a new copy. Your license provided with the laptop (it is on the bottom). Since you are outside the United States, you must call Dell customer service to order. They'll send you a Vista reinstall drive, as well as a drivers disk.

  • New Dell Inspiron 1764: Problems with signal low connection to wireless networks.

I have a new laptop Dell Inspiron 1764 I received on 25 June. It is "replace" a Dell Inspiron 9100, who has learned to be too slow and too bulky for my needs. For the purposes of support, the two laptops are running on Windows 7.

Overall, I love my new Inspiron 1764. However, I noticed the connection/signal strength seriously degraded, with wireless (Dell Wireless 1397 WLAN Mini card) card, compared to my Inspiron 9100 (Dell Wireless 1350 WLAN Mini-PCI card).

In areas of my home that my 9100 can obtain the power of the complete signal (5 bars), my new 1764 bars 2 or less. This behavior is not as limited to only my house as I have tested in my work and in an area of less than 10 feet away from the wireless router, I have 'Internet connectivity problems.

I tried twice this morning talk with Dell technical support. The first person I talked to tried to be helpful and initiated at least a DellConnect session with me so that he can check out some of my settings and such (However, why they went twice in my sharing settings I could not determine as they have absolutely nothing to do with the intensity of the signal).

Unfortunately, I was disconnected from the session when I went to a place that had less signal than just next to my wireless router.

I then go on the chat support with Dell and received another technician to speak with. I explained my problem, told them that I was in a DellConnect session with the other technician, and they looked to the top of my support contract.

They then told me that my warranty does not cover software issues and referred me to the software Department and said it would be a supplement. I told them that I did not believe that it is a problem of software in any way, shape, or form. They told me that it must be a matter of adjustment. I spent several hours scouring the internet forums on Dell and other sites check those who have had similar problems. Some of their questions were certainly the software settings, but I still don't yet to find anything that tells me I have an incorrect setting of software.

So far, I'm standing in my kitchen, tapping on my Inspiron 9100 with a full 5 bars, while my Inspiron 1764 is sitting next to me with a skinny 2 bars, and I am literally standing 7 feet above the room which houses my Linksys WRTU54G-TM router.

Personally, I suspect a faulty wireless card, but how to convince Dell to hear my case and replace it instead of trying to bilk me for support of useless software?

I hope Dell Tech Support bed actually this post, or people with the same problem can Dell refer to my previous post describing the problem and the fix.

It IS a PROBLEM of MATERIAL WITH the ANTENNA, AND VERY PROBABLY THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN a DECK CONNECTION at the ANTENNA of the PLATE, from connections TAPE FOIL INDIVIDUAL at the ANTENNA of the PLATE, THAT DELL MUST HAVE RESPONSE BETWEEN WHAT MINE PORTABLE has BEEN CARRIED OUT AND THE SPARE ROOM WAS MADE. THE PROBLEM IS NOT SOFTWARE, PROVIDER OR ROUTER, IT IS THE PLASTIC WITH THE ANTENNA CASE!

Dell is in fact losing more money with the hours of technical support through software patches and sending technicians with new wireless cards that does not solve the problem. They need to send and replace the plastic case behind the LCD screen with the updating of antenna and connections.

    Good luck!

I can only hear the left side of the helmet. When I push a little jack upward, on the right side, it works too. Headset is very good. Also tried a few other other headphones too. His work very well under Linux. I tried to update the driver in Device Manager.

How can I solve this problem?

Well actually, it's under warranty and it is the fault of the manufacturer. There are also some similar problems on this model of summer 2015.

  • -Battery Dell Inspiron 5559 problem

    Hello

For two days, I tried to charge my battery, but a red light starts to blink after 2 hours. When I tried to open the cell phone using only the battery, it did not. So I plugged the laptop and its opening. I have run all diagnostic tests and the results were normal. The battery icon (when the battery is on the laptop and the cable of the power supply) connected seems to understand that there is a battery connected, but he says that it does not load (ceased to 89%).

    What is the problem?

  • Beep card mother/CPU Dell Inspiron 530 problem

    Hi all!

I recently acquired an Inspiron 530 G33M02 motherboard with a Dual-Core of E7300 processor.  It worked for a few hours while I was updating windows (my brother had not used for 2 years before), but then all of a sudden the screen empties and computer was turned off.

To try to restart, the powerbutton lit amber, fans would move for a fraction of a second, and the green light would go on feeding.  I tried the power supply in another computer and it worked while I also installed an another working power known in the Inspiron 530 with the same results.  In research, this lead me to believe the motherboard was bad.

I have order a new traction (taken before using it on a new computer) on ebay and installed.  Now, I'm getting 7 beeps at the station.  It would point to a faulty processor?  I would limit until I have spend more money on a new processor.

    Thanks for any help/insight!

7 beeps does not indicate a processor problem,

To know if it is the processor, you will need to install in a "known" compatible work computer, or replace it with a compatible CPU "Known", as it is difficult to distinguish a faulty processor of a faulty motherboard.

While you can make an informed diagnosis, troubleshooting, the complexity of the components, it is sometimes diagnosis by substitution.

  • Blade adapter can be removed from the dell inspiron 600 m hard drive

I'm putting my hard drive to a pen so that I can use the data. When I entracted the laptop hard drive, the hard drive has a blade (NOT 44 pin) adapter at the end one. I think I need to remove the adapter, while the hard drive may be exposed pins and then I can adapt it to the speaker.

I very hard unscrew the stems at the four ends.  I couldn't remove the pins to other places in the notebook easily enough, but these four pins are really difficult to unscrew.

Please can someone tell me how to unscrew these 4 quarts and it's the right thing to do so that I can get into the hard drive enclosure to the data on the hard drive to be used.

  • Problem with Dell Inspiron 1545 integrated Webcam

I have a Dell Inspiron 1545 with a built-in webcam. It came with Vista but I upgraded to a Windows 7 64-bit. The webcam used to work at the beginning. I don't know why but one day it stopped working and never worked more. I looked everywhere on the internet means and tried a lot of ways, and it still does not work. Device Manager identifies as "Unknown device" and identifies it as a USB Bus controller. I tried to uninstall it and always allow to detect, but it detects as unknown device. I also tried to reinstall the driver, the vista one because it doesn't have a windows 7 one. What this did was uninstall the old and tried to install a new one (which is the same). But the thing is, it does not work. He'll try to install it and then a message saying "an error has occurred in the installation of the driver" or something like that and then it does not work. I ended up having to run the system restore to recover the pilot. I tried many ways and still does not work. Even the average USB cable. I have been using a USB mouse. I even plugged the USB cable in all my USB ports and it did not work. I tried to connect is not in what either too and it does not work either. I can't even ask Dell to help cause there is nothing to support that I can get. And my drivers are all up to date. Can someone help me solve this problem?

    Hi Kakikala,

    Thank you for posting.

At this point, I suggest you to contact Dell to see if the compatible device in Windows 7.

If this is the case, they must provide you with a driver that will correctly identify and install the unit.

You can also ask them if another device, like a USB joystick, needs a driver to be able to identify the material of the webcam and install it correctly.
