DELL OPTILEX 990 CORE I5 2 GENERATION

MY SUDDENLY BLOCKED SCREEN AT 1366 X 768 RESOLUTION, I AM NOT ABLE TO PLAY ANY GAME NOW

If you look at the Dell site for your model, you will notice that they have Windows 8 drivers, but not Windows 8.1

So, they must use the same driver for 8/8.1

I suggest you contact Dell:

http://www.Dell.com/support/contents/us/en/19/category/contact-information

Or you could ask their Support Forums:

http://en.community.Dell.com/support-forums/default.aspx

See you soon.

  • core i7 (3rd generation) can support Windows XP (sp2 or sp3)?

Mr President, my question is that, core i7 processor (3rd generation) will support window XP (sp2 or sp3)? Install Windows XP on a PC, which is activated with core i7 processor (3rd generation), without any difficulty? If this is not the case, is it possible to install Windows XP on core i7 (3rd generation) compatible processor PC, without using a pc virtual & window xp mode?

    Thank you

    Rohit

You will need to check with the manufacturer of the hardware you use, especially the card manufacturer mother but also all the addin cards and devices. If they have XP drivers then the answer is that your system must work with XP.

You already asked this question, but my answer is essentially the same thing as Richard G Harper in this thread...

PS my antivirus works and is microsoft essentials.

    Hi Francis,.

Thanks for posting your query on the Microsoft Community.

I imagine the inconvenience that you are experiencing and will certainly help you in the right direction to solve the problem. However, I would be grateful if you could answer a few questions to refine the question in order to provide you with better assistance.

    1. It worked before? If Yes, you did it all changes before the show?
    2. Are all the device drivers and updates of Windows updated?
    3. Have you tried different USB ports? Has been the result even?
    4. Other USB devices work properly?

According to the issue description webcam does not work on your DELL computer. The question might be if there is a corruption of USB drivers or drivers need an update. So, try the steps below and see if it helps you to solve the problem.

    Method 1

I suggest you to run to build convenience store which solves the problem if a hardware device is not working properly. Try to run the checking and convenience store if it helps.

It checks the common issues of interest and ensures that a new device or hardware connected to your computer has been installed correctly.

Open the hardware and devices Troubleshooter

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/open-the-hardware-and-devices-Troubleshooter

    Method 2

If the drivers for any device that is attached to the computer is not updated so there could be a risk that the device would not work, then I would say you to update the drivers of webcam vf-0050.

Try to update the drivers manually from the Device Manager.

    1. Click on start.
    2. Type run in Start Search box , and then press ENTER.
    3. In run the Open box, type devmgmt.msc.
    4. In Device Manager, look for webcam vf-0050, right-click on it and select Update driver automatically.
    5. Restart computer and check.

    Method 3

Drivers are important for our computer because without the right driver, the hardware or devices that are connected to our computer will not work correctly. You can also try to update the drivers by following the steps provided from the link provided below and check if it helps.

  • Dell optiplex 990 SSF video / graphics upgrade

I have a dell optiplex 990 ssf with a processor i5, 4 GB ram and 240w psu, my aunt made me for the school this year.  It is perfect to write the Lord's prayer and surf, but I also like to play video games.  I'm sure that the integrated graphics card is not much for games.   As I searched the forums here, I came across a factor of this card as mother to a 25w to the potential limiting pci-e slot limit.  This motherboard has only 2 16 x slots pci-e size and nothing more.  The documentation is clearly what motherboards of the 990 series optiplex has this limitation and that integrated video system is included.  Could you please help me as to what video cards I can use in this testbed?

    Currently my 2 considerations are:

    Radeon HD 6670 1 GB GDDR5 128 bit PCI Express 2.1 x 16 HDCP Ready Low Profile

    or

    Radeon HD 7750 1 GB GDDR5 128 bit PCI Express 3.0 x 16 HDCP Ready

Both are low-power and low footprint.

I'm not on overclocking anything just to use this system for the games moderate occasionally.

    Any advice would be appreciated.

Hi, personally, I have a Dell Optiplex SFF 990, the upgrade you are looking for is the Sapphire 7750 Single Slot low-profile. It performs much better and draws less power (7750 55W 6670 TDP 68W TDP) compared to the 6670.

    Beachmark 6670 and 7750 - http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/radeon-hd-7770-7750-benchmark, 3135.html

To add on, there is another additional advantage to free other 16 X (4-Wired) expansion card 1 X Pcie 4 Port Usb 3.0 PCIe slot.

All the less is the configuration that I use and it's perfect for my use.

    I hope that helps!

  • Adapted from food for a Radeon Graphics Card (for Dell Optiplex 990) 6450

    Hello

I would like to install a graphic card Radeon 6450 in my computer Dell Optiplex 990. I already spent a considerable amount of time and money, the upgrade of the PC. However, the power supply plays in my mind a bit and in regard to the graphics card, I ordered for her and the form factor PC that seems to be a form factor small when I get my service in the site tag code, I want to make sure that I have made the right choice of first time.

My system is attached (a 1st) as well as specific photographs of power supply and graphics card.

I was told that I must really be consider a 400 Watt one. Furthermore. I understand that it's difficult to say without physically seeing the piece in question, but is there a standard size wise size that will fit in my case?

If you need more details, please let me know.

    Thank you very much

    Steve

    Above is current spec system.

Here are pictures of my current diet which I don't put everything (includes connectors - can you tell these if mine is ATX or the type that must be taken into account?):

    The graphics (Radeon 6450) which I have bought too soon! ( :| ) :

One of more to come. Also, I think I have the right PCI port on the motherboard. Who is the answer, please be able to confirm if you certainly know I wish it is my board or send me a photo of one. (It is that with the kind of clip on the end of it, the long version thing)? -Sorry for my terminology!

I would say your 709MT 240W power is very good for a 6450 which uses DDR3.  Not all current Dells use EPS12v ATX power supplies. You have only 2 slots and the card must be discreet.

  • Dell Optiplex 990 - Very slow RESPONSE

    Hello

I'm new to this forum & don't know exactly where poster... then excuse me, if I posted in the wrong forum...

Well I need help to know about upgrading a system Optiplex 990 because I feel his slow work I need to increase the speed, here's the question I need help for:

    Current configuration:

    * Processor: Intel core i7 - 2600 processor 3,4 Ghz (4cpu)

    * Ram: 8 GB ddr3 - 1333 mhz frequency - (dimm1 = 2 GB, 2 GB, 4 GB dimm3 = dimm2)

    * Graphics: Nvidia Geforce 210-1 GB

    * OS: Win 7 Professional - 32-bit

    * HDD: 500 gb Sata.

    QTS:

    * Is it compatible to install win 7 Professional - 64-bit.

    * What is the maximum Ram capacity that the motherboard will manage the frequency n.

    * I have install an SSD instead of a standard HARD drive, if yes what is the maximum nerve for SSD.

    Waiting for answers

What form factor 990 you: Tower, office, small or ultra compact?

You have 8 GB of RAM installed but only a 32 bit OS which can only use ~3.2-3.5 GB of RAM.  How is what would have happened?

How useless junk is running in the background?

RAM max for small office, Tower, is 16 GB, DDR3-1600

Max RAM for ultra-small is 8 GB DDR3-1600

This system should be compatible with 64-bit Windows 7 and Dell offers drivers for Win 7/64-bit.

According to you what form factor Crucial.com offers a 1 t SSD, but it's expensive.

The first thing to do would be to install Win 7/64-bit, because who can use all the RAM that is currently installed and see if this improves performance before anything else...

  • CPU upgrade Dell dimension 9200 core 2 duo 2.4 Ghz processor

I was wondering if someone could help me.  I know that it is not supported by dell, but I want to upgrade my processor at the maximum speed supported by my Dimension 9200... I currently have a 2.4 Ghz cpu and bought an E8500 3.16 Ghz, which is NOT compatible... I was wondering if I could go with an E7300 2.66, I I think the problem is with the speed of the bus--the E6600 and E7300 are the two 1066 Mhz but the E8500 and E8600 1333 Mhz.

Can anyone confirm that the E7300 2.66 / 1066 Mhz is compatible...?  Thank you.

    Steinomite

OK so just to confirm that I will buy the CPU... I can get a core 2 duo for a core 2 Quad... as long as I get a Q6700 2.66 GHz... correct? for a Dimension 9200... Thank you.

Yes, the XPS 410/9200 will take up to Q6700, processors FSB 1066.

  • Dell C6100 HyperV Core reference and the Raid management

I searched on the internet these days, trying to find and to shed light on certain issues, that we realized that we're not totally sure how to solve after the application of a C6100 Dell with HyperV on its blades.

We have all the blades running with 4 drives, including two in a raid 1 configuration. We run HyperV based on all of its blades.

What happens if one of those drives fails? 6100 raid configuration utility is in the BIOS, so it is obviously not an option. Since we use Core and have no GUI, other Dell RAID utilities are not going to work.

How can you check the RAID health, other than just an orange flashing on a failed drive?

    Clrv salvation,

The C6100 and the other cloud products are based on the IPMI 2.0 management standard and can have alerts sent using SNMP for drive failure or other errors. http://en.community.Dell.com/TechCenter/systems-management/w/wiki/1989.OpenManage-Essentials

  • Dell Vostro 3550 (core i5), impossible to install the Radeon AMD driver

    Dear concern,

When I try to install the Radeon AMD driver it does not appear compatible hardware found! But I see in the dell drivers Download Center there's AMD Radeon drivers!

So, my laptop does not support the driver AMD Radeon! Help, please.

    Thank you.

Look in the Device Manager - if you see two video cards listed, you do not have the AMD GPU.  If you see only one (Intel), you have only an Intel GPU.

This system was sold with Intel only (base model) and hybrid systems (upper range models) Intel/AMD GPU.

  • Dell inspiron n5110 Core i5 wifi is not activated

    Hello

I can't turn on the wifi in my laptop. When I press Fn + F2, a notification icon appear on the screen that allowed wireless, but it does appear that Bluetooth adapter only.

I tried two or three drivers http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/19/product-support/product/inspiron-15r-n5110/drivers network, but does not work.

I installed the tool Speccy. It says "not turned on wifi.

In my HP laptop (5 years, not a single remedy yet), there is a broadcom driver in Device Manager, but I don't see not everything related to wifi with dell.

There is also a driver, unidentified, called "network controller".

Can someone tell me which is the correct driver?

    I am using Windows 7 32 bit SP1.

I upgraded the BIOS to A11 version and there is no such option to activate the wifi from the BIOS.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Thank you

Finally it worked. Many thanks to Saurabh Aresponse in this

    http://www.SevenForums.com/hardware-devices/259947-Dell-Inspiron-n5110-wireless-network-controller-problem.html wire.

My driver is ' Intel Centrino Wireless-N1030' (I didn't) and suitable for Windows 7 32 bit driver is "R311896.exe". And I don't know where I found this driver. But it is not in the list of http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/19/product-support/product/inspiron-15r-n5110/drivers

    In any case, dell sucks.

Users will need to have a better knowledge of materials, basic Internet, hardware architectures, which is 32-bit?, 32 or 64?... etc to deal with dell.

But HP gives a complete drivers pack when you insert your product and model.

HP provides a unique set of workflow services for a particular model.

If HP ABC XXYY-> unique set of materials

but DELL ABC XXYY-> "we do not know what the exact hardware, it could be one of the following.

    Reference Dell sucks again.

Dell first and the last of the mine.
