  I know that I have asked a few questions simple and stupid these days, but believe me, I got this tool foglight for installation in our environment that I have no idea, but no other no appointment... must be done. so tried my ways.

  Scenario 1:

  I have 3 guarded vCenters currently in my FVE 8, we will do a normal maintenance on a vCenter, how can I stop all alerts for this specific vCenter. What I have to edit each rule or is it possible to stop the agent that collects the data... something like that.

  Scenario 2: I want to add a new environment of vCenter for my tool existing Foglight, how this can be achieved.

  I read a similar case, it seems that the problem could be solved either:

  1) that allows SSLv2Hello to vCenter, or

  (2) upgrade to the latest Foglight/Agent managers to the latest version.

  Regarding the #1 option:

  Client configuration file updated the vpxd.cfg in vCenter. It's the line that needs to be changed:

  TLSv1

  To add the SSLv2Hello Protocol, the client he added after a comma:

  TLSv1, SSLv2Hello

  This solves the problem for this client, but you can check with VMware.

• Problem with OpenManage integration for vCenter - OMSA status: update required

  We have a problem with the configuration of OpenManage integration on a vSphere 5.5 U2 Cluster. We have deployed IMO for vCenter v 2.3.0 build 290 aircraft, and we have installed manually OMSA VIB v7.4.0.2 on our 5.5. U2 ESXi hosts.

  The question we face is respect for vSphere host - when we start the Wizard "Fix Non compliant vSphere Host" it displays the correct version of the OMSA - 7.4.0.2 but OMSA status is "required update".

  Whe test us the connection to hosts using "Test the connection profile", it hangs at 0% and will be never finished.

  Also in the OpenManage integration in vSphere Client "Frimware" tab option is grayed out.

  Please indicate how we can make this work?

  Well, I did some research more and found that ESXI 5.5 U1 and U2 don't are not supported by OMSA right now.

  ESXi 5.5 U1 and U2 are supported only for the OMIVV on the servers of 12th and 13th generation who are capable of out-of-band management and require no OMSA must be installed on the host system. We intend to add a supported of the OMSA version at a later date.

• Error 2000000 charge Assembly of the OMIVV 3.0 and 6.0 vCenter

  We have recently installed vCenter 6.0 in our laboratory. I downloaded the OVF OMIVV and deployed a new instance of the device. (I experimented with 2.3.0 in the past, but has never run, just so threw it out). The connection to the vCenter took place without a hitch, but the web client shows a dialog "Error 2000000" whenever I click on through the interface. When I used the first Setup Wizard, I was able to enter all of the passwords, but the list of guests was empty, even though this vCenter has 8 fasteners. Without being able to choose a host, I was not allowed to go forward through the wizard.

  It seems that this error has been reported in older versions, but it is slightly different in OMIVV 3.0, so I thought I should start a new thread. It is said:

  -Enable and disable the web proxy settings (no change of behavior)

  -Unplugged then replugged the vCenter in the administration several times

  -Make sure the vCenter and OMIVV device are on the same network, with no firewall between

  Re-recorded the vCenter using the domain name FULL official, such as name-> digital-> name in same name results returned

  I downloaded the package support and looked through the logs, but do not see anything obvious. I'd be happy to start over and upload files or a clean log file if it would help.

  If you have created your virtual machines with thick VMDK, you VMDK which is great in VMware, but will be considered void by the HDS. HDS didn't write zeros and will show the free space.

  I have a band EQ that allows storage of two vCenters. I have VVols work on vCenter #1, but cannot create vCenter VVOLs #2. I found this general post online and wonder if I can give you only a single container & VVol of total and that's why I can't create my second vCenter VVOLs?

• How to change the MOB OpenManage integration for vCenter Server registration

  A few months back, I've updated our installation of the vCenter for v2 plugin, now called OpenManage integration for vCenter Server. When you perform the upgrade, we have kept the old base done vs a new installation. During the upgrade process, we deployed the new device under a new name of the computer.

  Everything works well except that we noticed an annoying thing. Registration of the plugin is the former name of the server instead of the name of the new server-oriented. It is validated by looking at the web page MOB: http://vcenter Server/fmt drilling then down through:

  Content--> Extension Manager--> extensionList ["com.dell.plugin.OpenManage_Integration_for_VMware_vCenter"] --> server--> URL string

  The configuration of the appliamnce shows the correct new name of the device and the administration console is accessible via the new name for the device. The only place where we see the old name of the device is in the MOB config.

  We tried to remove the plugin and added, but still cannot change the value of server URL to reflect the new name of the device. Until we solve this problem, I work around the problem by keeping just the DNS entry for the old name of the server in DNS.

  Anyone know who to change the property MOB for the URL of the server?

  I solved the problem.

  I found the following article that shows how to upgrade the extension. I just cut and paste into my current values with the URL of update and now all is good.

  Brilliant new V3.0 of OMIVV

  Installation device and registered in vCenter without error.

  Seems to work in the VMware web client (I'm still exploring). I can manually add servers iDRAC.

  Since the heavy Win32 client, I don't get the Wizard but I get an empty bar in the middle of the screen with "Error #2048" down at the bottom.

  My client is Win7 x 64 with IE10 default browser.

  Try the following steps:

  1. Disconnect and connect to VMware Desktop client (thick client).
  2. Go to home > hosts and Clusters > select any host Dell > click the tab "OpenManage Intégration" and wait for it to load
  3. Now, click on Home > Dell Management Center, it should work now.

• Problem installing OpenManage for VMWare vCenter integration

  I'm trying to use Dell OpenManage integration with VMWare vCenter and have downloaded and deployed with the OVF file.  The virtual machine appears to have installed correctly and I recorded 2 servers by IP address vCenter.  I can connect to the DellAdminPortal page and sign in.  In the Administration Console under vCenter record I see two vCenter server and I get the message

  The vCenter 172.17.1.30 has been saved successfully. Open a new client vSphere for vCenter 172.17.1.30 so that the changes can be implemented.

  However when I connect to my with the Web Client vSphere vCenter I don't see the icon Dell OpenManage integration under the Administration category.  What Miss me?  I also checked the Administration-> have management and I can only see vCenter Orchestrator, Log Browser and SSO Admin UI Plugin.  About Dell OpenManage.

  I have connected several times and have even restarted the VM OpenManage, but nothing appears.  Any suggestions on what I can do to get this race?

  Our web customer support is for vSphere 5.5 only. Please make sure it's the version of vCenter that you run.

  "If you are on 5.5 check if there are two plugin files in C:/ProgramData/VMware/vSphere Web Client/vc-packages/vsphere-client-serenity /" If there is, we have seen that removing the oldest file and restarting the blank Server fixed this issue.

  I was able to install and configure the virtual appliance and the plugin, but after using the functionality of the virtual appliance upgrade, it would barely work and recovered memory errors so I thought I would start just above. Reinstall the virtual appliance has been easy, but when I try to save it as a virtual centre I get an error saying that there is already a registered to this virtual Center. How can I remove it to vcenter so that I can save my vceter with the virtual appliance?

  IM Foglight v7 running in trial mode.

  I added 2 systems vCenter. A 5.0 vCenter and a 5.5.

  I've added both in Foglight using a service with VMware admin rights account.

  5.5 system comes quickly and everyting monitors we nice.

  The system 5.0 is added and then hosts, etc data warehouses are grayed out. No idea what I'm missing here? Is there a limit on trial key to single vCenter?

• vCenter Plugin - host and iDRAC on separate networks - Options?

  Hi all

  We have 2 x R720 of virtual hosts with LOM IPs on the LAN (10.227.0.x) and runs in dedicated mode NIC iDRAC IPs on a physically separate management network - iDRAC. 10.227.2.x and is accessible from the management network. Dell vCenter Management Plugin is running and registered with vCenter a connection profiles - 1 by the server.

  When I test the connection profile, he can talk to the IP of LOM, but fails on the IP of the iDRAC. Firmware and guarantee of stock also fail. IDRAC IPs are not the ping requests from the inside of the base of the plugin CentOS.

  • Is it possible to set up a route network in the CentOS based for the plugin? Get root access to who seems to be not not possible (admin password does not work and account readonly is exactly that, and the command line does not work either) - this combined with some other fiddling network could work
  • Other options?

  I would prefer if the plugin could speak to iDRAC R720 24/7 constant monitoring, but the main purpose of the plugin for us is occasional updates, amending thus temporarily iDRAC dedicated IPs is an option.

  Update: works around this by temporarily putting iDRAC NIC on the local network.
