• Acrobat adds a small graphical element when converting to a Visio diagram

  I have the diagram Visio multi-page (Visio Professional 2003) that I am trying to convert to PDF (Acrobat 3D Version 8) for distribution. I have forms with links pointing to pages these links seem to be converting correctly, bookmarks generate correctly and everything seems OK, except towards the end of the conversion process, Acrobat up a faint but noticeable graphical element in the upper left corner of each page (see image below). It is nowhere in the drawing and it occurs with several different designs.

  The object appears only when I converted using the "Convert to PDF" selection in the Adobe PDF menu. It does not appear when I create the PDF using the print dialog box.

  I can't understand what this thing or why Acrobat adds. Does anyone have an idea?

  You can try the following workaround right now:

  Just before the conversion of the visio to PDF file, go to the drop down list "Format-> Shadow-> Style" on and select ' 00: None' it. Then save and convert to PDF format.  Creating the Visio file, you can keep these settings that you want, but before conversion to PDF using PDFMaker, above given the configuration must be set to ' 00: None "."

• VCAP5-DCD - Question about Visio-esque tasks

  Question for people who have already had the VCAP5 DCD. According to you, how does the amount of work involved in questions of style Visio compare to question sample of VMware?

  VMware has also had a similar demo for an example of a task on the VCAP5-DCA, but the task proved there was much shorter than what I saw on the real exam. I wonder if that would hold true on the DCD too. I'm just trying to get an idea approximate how long I'll need for the questions of Visual, especially since everything must be answered in order now, and it seems that visualization tasks are weighted much more strongly than others.

  In my opinion, the demo is much more simple and different than those that are in VCAP5 reviews. Told you at the beginning that you should plan on spending of 15-20 minutes per question visio style. The patterns are not extremely difficult, but make sure you use scissors to remove mistakes rather than try to drag an incorrect piece in the Trash because it would sometimes complete diagram move off the screen and make you reboot once again because it is so confusing.

• For loop within a while loop

  I have for loop within a while loop... admission to the for loop N comes from the VI selection... the while loop I a condition essentially statement it stops just after to finish all the iteration in loop...

  Entrance to the N loop is bascially driven by a local variable... that's the problem Iam having:

  When I press the Start button to run the program... regardless of the output of the select VI is gives the N of the for loop, then the loop starts and then ends in place... and when the output of the select statement takes a different value (the N of the loop for) loop not work until I restart the program again... What can I do so that the for loop runs again for another value of N, the RUN program button is enabled.

  1. clean your diagram.  Style guides suggest keep the pattern of a single screen.  With a little effort, I was able to get your DB less than 1600 x 1000 pixels.

  2 then I can see (some) it happens all at once. This thing does nothing?

  3. local variables can lead to race conditions.  Output in Angle position may be a race condition, although is probably not what you wanted to do.  What does the wired local time at the moment present terminal meter? (Ooops! Two controls with the same name - which can be quite confusing as well!)  If you need or want two components of façade having the same text, use the legends.  Make the labels is different so the comic is more readable.

  4. having more than one Dequeue function on the same queue will lead to unpredictable results.  When an item is removed, it is removed from the queue and is not accessible to any other Dequeue function.  In parallel loops, you have no way of guessing which Dequeue will seize any particular element.

  5 use Boolean reverse instead of Select with wired False to true and true cable at the entrance to false entry. Better, just make the case of forgery in the structure of the case within the for loop the real deal. No required reversal.

  6. I was not looking for to determine the logic of the code within the structure of this case. It seems I could have posted a much simpler way to do this several weeks ago.

  7. use multiply from the Digital Palette rather than a node form multiply by 4 or 1.8. Uses less space BD and is much easier to read.

  8. as has been suggested, learn how to work the machine architecture and the State of producer/consumer.  They can make your life much easier.  Do not try to convert immediately to these models.   It's too much bite to at some point.  Learn how they work first.  Make a few simple examples.  Then rewrite this program in this format.  Probably faster than fixing what you have now.

  I took the course in class for vmware vSphere 4 (install, configure, and manage) - ESX 4.0, ESX 4.0i, vCenter server 4.0 in 2010

  Now, I intend to take the certification exam - VCP4

  However the site of vmware mylearn, in the certification process, I could not find information of certification for vSphere 4.0. I can only see vSphere 4.1

  Please can someone help me know if vSphere 4.0 certification is retired?

  I still have to take a classroom course?

  I can't write the vSphere 4.0 exam?

  Don't worry, there are no different certification for 4.0 or 4.1. It's the same thing.

  I was wondering if the questions have been upgraded in update 1. Otherwise, any date deadline for that, so the candidates can answer based on the correct version (and read the correct manuals & install/configure the correct version)

  Not quite right. The current batch of questions and answers are generic through the release of GA and update 1 - there is no update 1 the q again. It could be a few weeks/months before there are 1 update of questions and answers.

  I attended a course on October 20, 2009 (a course VMware) and just curious when the checks will be sent if I can sit in my review?

  I sent the team more than 2 weeks ago and told him that he will be sent within 7 days, but two weeks later still nothing?

• Create new style box to highlight in Captivate 7 video demo to use several files of cpvc

  Hello

  Is it possible to create and then save a new style to display that can be used in several projects, when editing video demos in Catpivate 7? I can create a new style of economy, but when I open another file .cpvc is not available and I can't find a way to reuse/import.

  Any ideas? I don't know that I made a stupid mistake somewhere.

  You can export your new style in a local system folder and import it into your new project using the Style Manager object.

• Substituted styles in Captivate 6 demo mode

  I noticed that when I do a standard demo to record mode generated text captions out as being substituted (i.e. they have a sign "+" in front of them in the style dropdown in the properties panel). I know that '+' appears when you start to edit a text caption, but should not be the case right after registration. We all saw what is happening?

  Indeed, it is the case, because if you save a new simulation software, no theme has been chosen yet. What happens is that the legends of Capture (which are automatically added in demo mode) will take on the style defined in your theme by default and still get the + sign denoting overridden style.

  But contrary to normal practice, when you apply a theme after registration, "substituted" Legends of text styles that have been added automatically during the recording, will be replaced by the text caption style grab of this theme.

  I never checked the help on this, but doubt that it will be mentioned here that I am just the eternal Explorer.

• Is it possible to make a moving line of the 'Flight Plan of Indiana Jones' style?

  Hello

  I was wondering if I could recreate a red moving line (on a map) which goes to show that people of progress have already done.

  Do you remember the scene from Indiana Jones movies (and old movies of BW) where the plane flies over the map.

  I just need a way to have a movement of aircraft/dot/X from A to B drags a red line behind it. There is no need of a dotted line.

  Is this possible?

  If Yes, so that the learners to drag this object themselves along a defined path would be too much to ask for, I guess...

• Using CDP to create the network topology diagram

  Hi all

  I'm a beginning network specialist and just thought I would throw this question and see if I can get some answers.  Well, I want to know how I can use CDP to find out our network topology so I can create diagrams and Visio diagrams, or if you know any free network discovery programs out there that can help?  Hey well any comments will be appreciated so thanks in advance and I look forward to hear something!

  When you run 'sh cdp neighbors' it shows you all the devices connected directly. If you then "sh cdp neighbor detail" for each entry it will show the IP address of the connected device. You can then connect to this and do the same thing all the way throiugh your network.

  I think that the COP may be useful for this, but you're relying on the CDP running on all devices. Sometimes it has been disabled for security reasons one must always be aware that there may be devices that do not display.

  As mentioned SNMP is another alternative, but still once, this assumes that SNMP has been put in place the device esch.

  So just be aware that you can not always get the full picture, but a combination of--

  (1) CDP

  (2) SNMP

  (3) running the determination of route router hops show but not L2 switch.

  You should get most of the information. Also, be aware that the internal firewall tend to dirty such things as well.

• Default control style

  I guess this should be an easy task, but I have not yet stumbled upon a solution.

  I used an example vi to create something new and the default style in sample vi was set to classic. Do you have a backup-how to create a new, control, and every indicator I create from the block diagram are in classic style. Is there a way to change that for new are created in a different style? So far, the only way I've found is to copy and paste into a new vi.

  The default value has already been set (my favorite) modern according to the instructions of this guide: http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/9B3AF1A89123340A86257A09004C9DBF. Which has an effect on the new well screw.

  Is there a way to change the default control to an existing vi style?
