Deployment of 200 + 7925Gs

Does anyone have any experience with massive deployments of IP phone 7925 G wireless?

We have 200 + to unwind.  We try to find a way to simplify the process.

Does anyone have advice?

Ways to avoid setting up each phone individually?

Thank you!

Look for what's called the Cisco 792 x (or 7921 but it works for the models x 792) deployment utility in bulk.  I've been as far as a proof of concept and been able to make it work.  Then the rest is internal procedural matters.  Give a read to get the general idea.  First of all, I made a default configuration which shared a username & password just to check the process worked - it is not recommended, because a disabled account could very well take all your cordless phones.  Download the deployment of Cisco utility and there should be documentation available for it too (http://www.cisco.com/web/software/282074239/14006/792xBD.1-0-Readme.pdf).  After an initial test then I worked with the bulk Deployment Utility to create by the configuration files of phone that uses a CSV file (list of phone, MAC address, usernames and passwords) that are combined with a model with the rest of your settings to configure connectivity wireless on the phone.  Overall he will deal more preparation work (creating accounts for each phone, generating config files and placing them on the TFTP server, but it runs pretty smooth throughout.)

OK here's an email summarizing my play with this a few weeks back:

General process

(1) enter the new phone and insert the battery

(2) power on the device - it connects to the ssid "cisco" and pulls down and applies the config of the WLAN.xml file (if it exists) or WLANDefault.xml, which he pulls from the TFTP (IP address specified in DHCP Option 150).

(3) restart the phone (manually)

(4) the phone connects to the production network and pulls down the latest firmware.

Step #3 rang me more time than I care to admit - I was expecting after you download the config file which it applies and reconnect to the network and go on its merry way, but for some reason that doesn't seem to be the case.  A power off & on solved this problem and product at least consistent behavior.

The date never syncs completely to the top, but I think what will happen once the phones are defined in the call manager and telephone recording ends.   There are methods to generate a CSV file containing the MAC address, user name and password for the unique deployments in bulk.  This file is then used with the file WLANDefault.xml (which would change to contain no identifying information) and generates unique files by phone (WLAN.xml).   These files must be copied to the TFTP server, and then when the phones appear on the network they download the appropriate configuration file based on the MAC address and apply to phones.  That should mean without manual configuration steps other that power the phone off & on in steps 1 & 3 above.

The implementation is finished here - using VLAN 93 (192.168.93.0/24) and the "cisco" SSID has been added only to apname (other than broadcast).  An ACL has been applied, allowing the network to obtain a DHCP address from the DHCP server and extraction of files from the TFTP server.

A process should be developed for the ID of user for the devices and then adding them to a CSV file.  This CSV file would then be used by the deployment utility mass to create some configuration files for each MAC address in the file.

    Hello community,

First of all, I want to congratulate Apple on the construction of such a laptop well. It is a luxury product that is clearly desired by most people, which I understand very well that he's a new owner. But entering the heart of the problem that I face outside this machine being an external engineering masterpiece.

    Professional background:

I'm a computer engineer / scientist / programmer by profession. I am currently employed at Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) as a Senior Consulting Engineer level IV for their BIG Data Software Division. Yes, I program (Java and c#), scripts (powershell, batch and SQL), solutions architect, design, to test software and debugging, implement large enterprise-level solutions ranging from a cluster of 2 mirrors servers-to-of thousands of servers to multiple clusters (even from a perspective of work station of the missions of deployment from 200 KB - to - 50 jobs in the world) work with SQL databases on a daily basis, working with storage devices (SAN mutli-million dollar NAS and DAS), provide an infrastructure troubleshooting and problem resolution, have 8 international recognised certifications, a degree of master of science and involved with concerts on the side as well as build computers as a hobby. My computer knowledge is vast and my RESUME goes beyond what I have briefly described. It is important that I give this background to demonstrate that my level of computer knowledge is beyond the scope of this post.

    Laptop Usecase:

Recently I bought mid-2015 Macbook Pro 15 "2.8 GHz Intel i7 quad core, AMD dedicated GPU, 16 GB of RAM, 1 Portable SSD PCIe TB from an authorized Apple dealer. To maximize the beauty of this gem, I also bought a monitor Thunderbolt Apple 27 "due to its ability to offer a dedicated gigabit NIC and additional USB connectors. Basically, the screen acts as a central docking for the laptop and offers additional i/o that does not have the laptop (somewhat a disappointment that it's called a 'PRO' for laptop - this can be discussed in an extra thread).

I will mostly use the laptop for tasks related to work as operating on dozens of remote servers via RDP, using office 2011 and 2016 Lync, Eclipse for Java programming, access the HPE intranet for related tasks at work, set up conference calls, connection with clients remotely via WebEx or TeamViewer and typical everyday computing. For fun, I'll use the laptop to compose music through Logic Pro X, browsing the Web, doing work with Photoshop/Lightroom/and other products Adobe, Web browsing, Email, Youtube, NetFlix, coding, and other basis for computing tasks.

    Question:

I am primarily an engineer Windows to the heart and don't work well with Unix/Linux, so forgive me if certain acronyms and terminology is slightly outside when it comes to the OS.

The question that I am currently facing is how HOT and high cell phone VOICE gets during very little use. It seems that, given the 27 "Apple Thunderbolt connected display cause heating and the fans to be excessive and loud. 'A little' work around the question I unplugged the lightning poster power adapter and have dedicated the trendy laptop adapter. It 'a bit' reduces the amount of heat generated, which reduces the speed of the fan to be a little less quiet. However, the noise level of fans and heat is not reduced enough to convince me!

After the control process during the time of the laptop being extremely strong and warm, I noticed the only vivid process is the process of "kernel_task". However, I debunked this theory by leaving the unit to return to a normal state, that required me disconnected the Thunderbolt display, and the process ran again without all the negative effects of heat and noise.

So, why Apple would create a laptop that indicates the external monitor is fully compatible, can support up to 2 external displays with no problems and provides a support for this configuration, if there are any other problems when connecting?

    * Please do not provide responses that I have received a bad laptop or a bad monitor. Appears not to be the case because when I am doing absolutely nothing on the machine, heat is minimal and the fans are 'enough' quiet, even when connected to the Thunderbolt display. However, even simple web browsing on the Thunderbolt display forces do MAX out fans and heat is generated quickly.

I love this laptop. His elegant, fun to work on, is luxurious and is a potential item that meets all my needs. But I just can't justify spending more than $4 K on a configuration that will cause problems and significantly reduce the lifetime of the laptop.

1 should I return the laptop and love at first sight appear and waiting for Skylake edition which will be released in the coming months (energy consumption reduced, rising in power and performance, and (?) one possible different GPU that excels much better than 'crap' AMD GPU?

    2. or should I paste and see if a solution or resolution is proposed to the issues that I am experiencing?

    3. I see the same problems all over the internet. Anyone else here has the same problems?

    4. why Apple would invest in this GPU 'cheap' for such a machine power? AMD? Really? (< (less="" than)="" $150="">

    5. How can I host a Lync call with clients when I hear more the laptop that I can hear them?

    My thoughts:

I spent $6 000.00 on the construction of an incredible machine at home. It has an Intel i7 5960 X Octa-Core processor, nVidia GTX 980, 64 GB RAM Corsair DDR4, 12 TB of disk 7200 RPM, a 512GB SSD for the OS and temporary storage, power 1200 Watt, card reader 5 in 1, a player Blu Ray optical blazing fast, liquid cooling, a Premium Asus Sound Card, the card mother 'best!' on the market (I finished this statement that fans just went back to MAX RPM0 - maybe) because I'm throwing my personal build an Apple forum?), a mechanical keyboard, mouse laser with 12 K dpi and five monitors 24 ".

I was willing to spend that money on a laptop of luxury that I can travel with, but is it really worth what I'm going through? Also, others on the Internet said they have returned their Macbook Pro for the same model without the dedicated GPU and no longer meet the problem. BUT why someone would invest $3 K in a machine without a good graphics card? IT MAKES NO SENSE TO ME.

PLEASE, I BEG YOU! Can someone help APPLE me this question?

If I am not convinced to the contrary, Apple then lost me as a customer forever and return to Windows, I oppose the $4 500.00 I spent. If I am convinced to stay, then Apple will get $4K out of me at all times every 3-4 years, I invested in most any software.

Also, if I can post a video showing you what I'm listening to, then you will be in shock. Honestly, I'd like to keep this machine, but I need help to understand what is happening and what can be done to correct the problem.

    Thank you

    mjaestewart

Everyone from Apple have a preview? I am pretty surprised to have not received a response.

    Please help me out here.

    Thank you

    Hello world

We have not deployed any image TC520 for a few months.  I tried for a few days now, and we get an error.

Nothing has changed (as far as I can see) in the past months.

Deposits are still there and can connect on the TEST page.

The images are still there... and have not been changed.

TC520 are the same machines TC520

The HPDM and the client, the version numbers match...

I can reboot/update etc customers... just imaging that is a failure

    So, fundamentally, nothing has changed.

But when I deploy an image, I get

I suggest that you use 4.7 SP2 or later version. From SP2, we use the PE of the DM repository instead of the local device.

This should be able to resolve the problem that you are experiencing.

  • The issue of deployment of secure Inizializzation platform module.

    Hello

I have a large network with 200 laptops with the 32-bit version of Windows 7 installed.

Now I want to deploy bitlocker with TPM, all security this laptop have the TPM but does not turn on.

I read that I can deploy bitlocker, but how can I initialize the TPM secure on all laptop without intervention of the user physically?

I read that it is possible in Windows Vista. What about Windows 7? All the laptops have the same brand.

I hope someone can answer because I can't initialize the TMP module physically on all laptops.

    I'm really stuck on this.

  • SG 200 Firmware

    Hello

I saw that there is a new firmware (v1.3) available for SG 200 switches. However, for the SG 200-08 version the most recent ist still 1.0.6.2. I wonder if there will be features of managements such as cli or anmp for SG 200-08 too. I really need those.

Or is there maybe a way to deploy any firmware 1.3 on the SG 200-08?

    Thanks in advance!

Andreas, here's the datasheet for 200th flavors.

    http://www.Cisco.com/en/us/prod/collateral/switches/ps5718/ps11229/data_sheet_c78-667827.html

Quite honestly, you should buy a 300 series switch. The variety of 8 ports is pretty cheap, like $300 can be. It has a CLI fully supported and all the features is incredibly rich for the price level (Layer 3, such as dhcp server).

  • ISE NFR extend drive 200 GB

    Hello

I have a server ISE NFR 1.1.1.268 which I've updated to version 1.2, which works very well, except for one minor thing, the required drive is 200 GB and the NFR is created with 60 GB and so I get a lot of alarms in the GUI. I know that I could probably just disabled the alarm, but I would like to know if there is a way to resize the disks of ISE? I've resized in my VM settings, but I have no apparent way to ISE resize the partion of real file system.

I solved the problem in the following way:

I installed a new ISE with HW-requirements met and said that for my NFR-deployment. Then change roles (in my case, add another ISE) and then delete the original.

You have validated the content of the file web.xml instead of faces-config. XML

Try to return to faces-config. XML to 2.1.

Also, check if useBundledJsf = false will make a difference.

If nothing else helps, try to remove the extra libs (one by one)

Thank you very much, I'm a bit desperate with this! :-)

    Kind regards

    Jose.

    Hi Jose,

I've been encountering same problem for the last 2 days... Come to find out that the reason is library I added to the web project.

To use commonj.timer for the planning of the work, I added Weblogic 12.1 Thin Client to my project and timer resource web.xml. As its name suggests, it is only for weblogic server. After I have encounter this error "wm". I have removed the library and commented my timers. Then the deployed project successfully.

I hope this will help you (and others) too!

    Kind regards
    Sara.

    Hello

The issue is fixed by removing the throws ServiceException on each Web service methods and set the recorder to the inside of each method or sets the logger as static outside the classroom.

    Thank you best regards &,.

Finally, the issue is resovled. I followed the steps in the Doc ID 1354918.1

    1. backup config/fmwconfig/oam-config.xml*, cwallet.sso

    2. connect to wlst shell in online mode and run the following to clean of the CSF:

    deleteCred (map = "OAM_STORE", key = "jks")

    deleteCred (map = "OAM_SYSTEM_CONFIG", key = "jks")

    deleteCred (map = "OAM_CONFIG", key = "jks")

    deleteCred (map = "OSTS_CONFIG", key = "jks")

deleteCred (map = "sts", key = "stskeystorepassword")

    deleteCred (card = "m", key = "osts_signing_template")

    deleteCred (card = "m", key = "osts_encryption_template")

OR connect to the console of EM. Click right field---> safety---> credentials.

    and deleted all the files OAM_STORE, OAM_SYSTEM_CONFIG, OAM_CONFIG, OSTS_CONFIG, m

3 bring down the field (Admin and managed servers)

    4. Remove .oamkeystore

    5. start the domain (Admin and managed servers)

As soon as this oam_server1 is coming with all the deployed application and also in oamconsole server instances indicates oam_server1, while earlier he showed as AMSERVER1

I still don't know what is the cause of this problem but for now its working. Might be a bug in this version 11.1.1.7.0

  • Form formatting not available in 11.1.2.5.200/11.1.2.3.500 planning

I patched (quite painfully as always) my compact deployment to 11.1.2.3.500.

As part of this process of correction, I've upgraded Smart View to 11.1.2.5.200.

When I go into the planning forms, all of the formatting has disappeared.  I mean here the Member cell colors, colors of data cell, locked cells (I'm loggin in as owner of the app, but I still should not be able to enter data at the top of the dimension), etc., not here.

I go into the Options and made sure that 'Use of Cell Styles' was checked (although I thought it was an irrelevant option for planning) as well as to ensure that there are in fact all sorts of settings for cell styles - there are.

    So what don't understand me?

Here is an example of a form which must be very formatted (just being a combination of members cannot be changed):

    https://cameronl.OpenDrive.com/files?85547164_p9Qcs

And here it is in the web of planning:

    https://cameronl.OpenDrive.com/files?85547168_iKWby

I'm looking not a little in support, but these KBs appear to be on a swivel, cascade, etc..  In other words, formatted to go once it has been applied.  I can't even format.

Finally, I must emphasize that formatting worked very well in SV 11.1.2.5.000/11.1.2.3.000.  I even tried to rollback 11.1.2.5.000 SV - it made no difference.

    Thank you

    Cameron Lackpour

I managed to understand this one.

My patch.500 installation had problems - planning would not open in Internet Explorer.  Thanks to some suggestions of John Booth, I applied the patches ADF 16964825 and 18362693 to my system.  Who got the job schedule, but has not resolved the issue of the Smart View (Smart View worked when IE would not--he had these weird same formatting problems).

I just restored via VMWare (so not an opatch rollback) on a pre.500 patch, installed the two patches of ADF in the folder oracle_common\opatch (not the EPMSystem11R1\opatch folder), then applied the correctifs.500.  I must point out that the patch 17529887 has stated that these ADF patches were already there and abandoned their plot (just two ADF patches. the rest of the patch worked).

And that's all, it works now.

Super weird and way too painful, but it is resolved.

    Kind regards

    Cameron Lackpour
