  These are the steps to create repositories (development or execution)

  Creating repositories with Oracle Data Integrator Studio - 11g Release 1 (11.1.1)

  Pay attention to the TYPE of repository, that you want to create.

  I recommend you to perform the following steps for a basic deployment environment. As you improve with ODI try different configurations.

  (1) a single master repository work for your DEV environment.

  (2) use the same Master repository and create a kind of execution referential work that you will use this as your Test environment.

  (3) create a new repository repositories master and execution in another server and configuration in your PROD environment. It's your safe and you deploy only when everything is working fine. In addition, you will have a regular backup to repository strategy.

  Now just set three new connections in ODI Studio.

  A DEV using information from repository of 1.

  A TST uses 2 repository information.

  One for PROD uses 3 repository information.

  You're good to go. Develop you project in DEV, generate deployment scenarios to test in TCT and if all goes well. Deploy the topology and scenarios needed to PROD.

• After you migrate for Dev to Test with LCM, to change the order of forder dataform

  Just try it. If something goes wrong, you can always sandbox rollback.

  Also, you can open the Enterprise Manager console and backup with sandboxes with all changes to the export.

• Migration of web content from dev to test

  Hi all
  I posted this question a few days back, now we have another problem for some queries please provide your advice.
  
  -> we did migration CMU and folder (structure alone).
  -> we have migrated all content (most are related website, native files of data file file).
  After migration, but I ran, we checked the web site of his fine.
  but now the problem is that we are not able to display any CDF file on the portal using content presenter.
  This means that the files are there and when we drag any file on the portal and select content presenter he display the xml file.
  but when we apply any custom template it displays nothing, there are 'TITLE' and 'BODY' elements in the CDF file etc.
  
  I have no idea why it happens same portal app when points to send it to the dev environment it works.
  
  updated - when I do a ctrl, SHIFT + C on a few I get frame but don't get three option as:
  (1) create web content
  (2) edit
  (3) discount
  
  but I get the following options:
  (1) view and manage this document
  (2) discount.
  are there any missing configuration between UCM and portal applications.

• AIA FP 11.1.1.3 - generation Deployment Plan for migration Dev test

  Can you post what follows the point of view of Test deployment of Dev. We have almost completed the development of an interface using AIA 11 g and are moving from one instnace to another interface, and any help is appreciated.
  
  Let us take purchase order integration between a legacy application and the purchase of the Oracle File adapter-> ABC-> EBS applicant-> supplier ABC-> DB adapter, which is a classic flow.
  
  1. the functional person defines a project in the Workbench of Life Cycle of the project
  2. functional decomposition made through business purchase stopped and components of the Service Solution task for each composite in the classical stream

  I tried to copy the XDM and OPE dev physical location and the deployment of physical location tests. It does not work.

  same procedure you can archieve the catlog together and unarchiebe in the test environment.

  Simply select the folder catlog left and you will get the options you can do on the left
  Bottom side do archieve and unarchieve in the test environment.

  I don't think that you are correctly using the schema definition. The scheme applies only to the database. The schema does not exist in TestStand and you do not the schema port anywhere except if you want to install a new database somewhere database options for a specific read/write database schema are stored in the TestStandDatabaseOptions.ini file and you can choose to include this point in a deployment.

• Send emails based on the dev/test/production environment

  I have this requirement where

  If xyz process is complete

  1. in production send e-mail to different users of the company
  2. in dev and test send emails to only the development team.

  So I intend to modify the code to get information from database "Select sys_context('userenv','instance_name') from double;" and send emails to recipients, based on the name of the instance returned.

  If I'm heading in the right direction? Please let me know if there is a risk that in the future prod and dev can return the same name!

  We have a table of configuration and put an entry here as recipient of email. You can store different settings for different environments.

  hard coding your logic, relying on instance_name is not a good idea.

• Dev to create and test instances of the Summit on the same server and database

  I have a dev and instances of the Apex on different servers of prod. I want a test instance on the same server as the instance of dev.
  
  I use workspace import/export so all the workspaces instance have the same id of the workspace. The application ID is the same on each instance in the same workspace. This allows the pages to be exported or imported in the case of differenct.
  
  My question is (I'm sure it's obvious) I can have several instances of the Apex on the same database (dev and test) and have each the same instance ID workspace, etc..

  Use an application ID unique for each version of an application and a simple, permanent and immutable alias application over the life of the application. On deployment, the export of the development application and import it into the workspace of production with a new ID and then trade alias with the previous version. Start working on the next version, import the application into the space of development work with a new ID and start the cycle again.

  To work in this way, the application must never be referenced directly by ID. All the external links to the app must refer using the alias of the application. All internal references within the app must also use the alias or the integrated APP_ID substitution string.

  Page level import/export using the App Builder is possible between separate instances where the request and workspace have the same ID. It is not possible in your hosted environment because it contains only a single instance that requires the unique ID workspace.

  It can be done in SQL * Plus, or using SQL Developer apex_application_install API, but generally it is easier to simply import the entire application and copy the page between applications.
