Depth of the question of single page sections

I'm building a site a simple page that is divided into sections, with pegs to scroll to each section. Can anyone recommend a height for each section please?

An example is illustrated below to help explain what I mean:

Screenshot 2015-11-05 17.04.19.png

I don't know not where to start the next section - I don't want the user to see the beginning of the next section (red bit) when displaying the current section. Is there a height of 'security' I must adopt. Ideally, I don't really want anything of a long interval between the two sections be as some users will scroll the page manually.

See you soon.

There is no specification for this that it would depend on the requirement and design. Target screen size should be considered for the design of the size of the page where scrolling should work fine with the next anchor point.

Thank you

Sanjit

  • Preview.app stuck on the first page of the PDF in single page mode

    I regularly Preview.app view PDF files and want to use the "Single Page" function to display an entire page at one time. I have 'Single Page' display set as the default behavior.

    Lately when I open a PDF file, they properly open the first page, but I am unable to navigate to another page via the drop-down page, touch up/down arrow. If the PDF file has a table of contents, I am able to go beyond the first page through it and then proceed to navigate normally. If it is not a table of contents, the only solution is to continuous scrolling mode and continue to navigate beyond the first page.

    It's very annoying! Unfortunately, I can't remember where this started happening. It could be when I upgraded to MacOS Sierra, but I can't confirm.

    Everyone else see this behavior?

  • Cannot export to single pages facing pages

    Hello

    I have a 60 page document + that I created to deal with pages. It is a magazine, so I had to work in spread because much graphics extend over two pages.

    My problem is that I was invited to make the final PDF file 'single page' - spreads. Each page must be hers.

    I tried to turn off the coast facing pages under the heading "Configuration document", but it did not split graphs that spans two pages (IE, I have a header that covered two pages and when I turn off 'facing pages', the header is attached to the 'left' page and space where half right of the image should be is not in the "right" page.) I understand that it is an object, but there should be a way for her to 'split').

    I can't find another way to transform the export of single pages. I either export it to PDF and get "spreads" (two pages face-to-face somehow transformed into a long page) or I lose half of my content.

    I'd appreciate any help - it's a huge head and rather sensitive time.

    (By the way, I had this problem once before, when I was more inexperienced.) I did save two versions of the file: 1 vote against and facing pages and the other with facing pages turned off. Then I copied the 'spread' from the 'facing pages' file and pasted on the page "right hand" of the non-pages file (it's the cut part of the graphcis that spans two pages). I don't know if I explained that very well. It of obviously awkward, takes a LOT of time and spatial memory (which causes my system to slow down a lot), and I found myself with a couple of headers that were a couple milimeters off.  I feel that I'm totally missing something: I think that the duty to spread fashion design and have the file finished in simple pages would be a common thing to do).

    I'm starting to see a trend where new users seem not to grasp the concept of what is a "page", and what is a gap. A page's layout unit, that you specify in the settings of the documents, if arranged as connected or not. A gap is a page or group of pages that are accessed by side (the first page of a book is laid out as a single page spread, for example, with pages double suite). Spreads are constructed from the pages and are a convenient way to work, allowing you to see that a reader will see in a finished printed publication and work in related pages in a single view, but they do not have magical powers to change the size of the page, just because you're looking at the two pages together.

    Pages in spreads remain independent pages. They can be moved to new locations without moving their companions, and when you print or export (with the exception of the interactive PDF in CS5 or later) by default, you get simple pages, no matter how they could be organized on the screen. You define documents as pages face to face time to display the "spreads" as a unit while you work and be able to create a "handedness" in the provision, i.e. pages that are distinctly to the left or right clearly, based on the number of page. This means that you can have different margins or headers and feet, or other objects as the color bars on the two halves of your broadcast, and that these things can be put on the master pages to apply automatically.

    If you start using pages face to face, your default master page is a double page that can accommodate this handedness. If later, you go to the preparation of the Document and uncheck the facing Pages to break out "spreads" you also lose the ability to use the left side of your master page and and if there is no asymmetry in your layout will be lost, and your document will be destroyed, then uncheck face pages prior to export is both unnecessary and a very bad thing to do.

    STIX said, if you export PDFS for printing, there is nothing special at all you need to do to get the unique pages. Just make sure that you did not check the box of spreads. Interactive is a little different. The box was apparently omitted design with the default state set to export pasta to spread (sometimes the engineers do not understand how we work as designers), but there are two approaches to the problem of spreads for export unique to interactive PDF pages. Script he mentions is easy and practical and changes the State of the missing box and is probably what you want, but it is also possible to "split" a spread in individual left and right spreads errors and they will export this way regardless of the State of the checkbox. "" The method is described in InDesignSecrets "Blog Archive" Pages Breaking Apart to bleed off the coast a spine

    One caveat, however, using the "spreads" split, is that objects that cross the spine are on one page or the other when you are done, not on both pages, so you must copy the and paste in Place where they are absent on the opposite side.

  • Web page section headers are too big, content of the text is too small.

    I have to make big text/content fonts so I can read comfortably, but this makes the titles of the sections on the gigantic Web pages, and does not have the whole layout.

    in the opera, 10 years ago it was possible to change the size of the font of the class of the section headings (there are 6 classes/sizes of headings IIRC). the final effect is that the font size of the content was close to the font size of the title or titles on Web pages. parameter changes were made on a configuration page to designate the name of the font and sizes for proportional and monospace. for example, the title on this page of text entry is "Fill in the details of your question." and this font size are at least 3 or 4 times bigger then the topics under which ar "Question" and "Details".

    so is there a way of FF to decrease the font size of the section as a global general parameter headers?

    If Firefox is installed, it does not automatically create the chrome folder. You can create a new folder in your profile folder:

    C:\....\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\z7hau5ip.default

    It will then appear one or more spots below bookmarkbackups.

    Hello

    Can someone help me to export a book cover of three pages in PDF single page InDesign? It has exported to PDF in three separate pages, probably because I created my document in the form of three pages originally .indd. I tried to load the PDF for CreateSpace but he rejects it as he wants as a page.

    I really hope this is easily fixed as I can't bear the thought of go everywhere.

    I would be very grateful for a quick answer because I'm going on vacation in 48 hours...

    Is it set up as a page three in the ID? If so, check the double option during export.

  • Section headers in the wrong after editing pages

    Hello, I have a document with a marker for the section on the master page; and there are 23 sections in my document, each "start the new section" checked on the first page of each section, with each section name typed in. But when I add text or change the font size, the sections begin is no longer in the right pages. Is there a way to link the start of new sections to the text (on the first page of each section) itself? Or y at - it another way around this problem? Very much appreciated.

    A section is the property of a page, so you cannot link the text sections.

    In the case where the text will be reinvested, or if you do not have your sections broken up by page breaks he recommended to use text Variables. If you have your section names in your document in a single paragraph style, you can have them appear in the header of the footer by following this document on creating headers and footers.

  • Question about the bleeding and facing pages.

    Hello

    I'm in trouble with my first InDesign document which is a 96-page Magazine. It will be printed on sheets A3 stapled in the middle. My impression of the guy said it's ok in the form of A4 pages with 3 mm overhang.

    So now when I try to export in pdf print (I check the brand I want to use the documents of bleeding parameters) exports with the sections on the left and right pages (left page exported with? I guess than 3 mm? bleed from the right page and so on). If I replace the parameters bleeding and I set to 0mm it is all ok, but I fear that certain images or text could get cut because I have everything with the substantive benchmarks lost in indesign.

    And I can't uncheck pages face to face since I have some graphs (graphs and so on) that spread from one page to another (on the same spread).

    My question is... I can do and always use the bleeding or (ignore "inside the bleeding' or something) or is it OK to use the export as a spreadsheet instead of individual pages because he wanted pages A4?

    Any help for a beginner would be appreciated. Thank you.

  • How to change the region to fit on a single page when printing.

    Hi all

    I am only recently starting my APEX trip (and I am sure that this is where I want to stay!) please excuse any "dumb" comments I can do!

    I use APEX 5.0.3 and the universal theme.

    I followed the steps kindly provided by Christian Rokkitta on the following blog to create a tree of the Organization;

    Oracle & Apex Geekery: CSS3 Pure Org-tree with APEX list

    I only have a CSS and JavaScript knowledge, but did successfully a number of changes to meet our specific requirements. Where I fight, it's around areas of printing that do not fit on one page.

    I tried to edit the CSS, I tried to use JavaScript to open in a new window pop up, I have drawn on Print Style sheets and am currently using a modified version of the 'Standard' page template so that I can use @media Print to stop certain elements display. The CSS before I tried to use breaks page and updated scale, but after 4 days of work on anything else, but this printing problem, I'm starting to wonder if I go about it completely the wrong way.

    What is someone is able to help with the above? Basically, I need to make the organization chart fit on the single page when printing. almost as if I had 'zoom out' until it is on a single page and then print.

    I have refrained to put links or screenshots however please let me know if you need more information and I'll get it right above!

    Thanks to you all!

    Richard

  • Get the value of the question page before submitting.

    Hello all, I use the Application Express 4.2.5.00.08. I have a question on getting a value for a page element before the page is sent. I have a dynamic action:

    Action: Moving the mouse (on a region/State)

    Real Action: $('a[href*="39"]').each (function (index) {}
    lnk = $(this) .attr ('href');
    $(this) .parent)
    . Parent ('tr')
    .Attr ("href data ', lnk")
    {.mouseover (function ()}
    $(this) .css ("cursor", "pointer");
    Lrowrequired var = $(this) .closest ("tr"),.
    BLOCK = lRow.find("td[headers=BLOCK]").text ();
    $x('P39_BLOCK').value = BLOCK;
    })
    {.mouseleave (function ()}
    $(this) .css ('cursor', 'default');
    })
    });

    I am successfully able to get the value of the line while I'm hovering above the report (and P39_BLOCK is refreshing). But, in this case, the value is not set whenever it changes. My question is, if I need to use this value (say, put an another page element when P39_BLOCK is changed) without submitting the page, how is that possible?

    Kind regards
    MFadel.

    Hi Mohamed,

    That's what bothers! In my first dynamic action, I have real action 'Execute JavaScript Code', which doesn't have a property "Page items to show.". And I need this code to retrieve values from the row of the report.

    On the right, you will have the option 'page elements to present' the dynamic JavaScript actions. Only the PL/SQL. And you do not need to handle things strictly the use of javascript. JavaScript is usually used to manipulate items on the page itself, not the things on the server/session). If you need to present before your PL/SQL block, you can either use AJAX call, or you can create a dynamic action of PL/SQL that runs before your JavaScript. Put this field in the 'submit' page elements and the block of code, just put null;

    Here's a sample in javascript, ajax call. It pushes three elements of the page in the session or in the scope where APEX can access their values. You can return values through AJAX if necessary also:

    $.ajax ({type: 'POST',})

    URL: "wwv_flow.show",

    data: {}

    p_flow_id: $('#pFlowId').val (),.

    p_flow_step_id: page,.

    p_instance: $('#pInstance').val (),.

    "x 01': P39_PAGE_ITEM_1, '.

    "x 02': P39_PAGE_ITEM_2, '.

    "x 03': P39_PAGE_ITEM_3, '.

    p_request: 'APPLICATION_PROCESS = YOUR_PROCESS_NAME'

    },

    success: function (data) {}

    Console.log (Data);

    }

    });

    Then you would have a PL/SQL process called YOUR_PROCESS_NAME that can refer to variables such as

    my_var_1 VARCHAR2 (100 CHAR): = APEX_APPLICATION. G_X01; -Javascript password

    my_var_2 VARCHAR2 (100 CHAR): = APEX_APPLICATION. G_X02; -Javascript password

    my_var_3 VARCHAR2 (4000 TANK): = APEX_APPLICATION. G_X03; -Javascript password

    Can I use in my "PL/SQL procedure? Because in the end, I'm trying to use this value in a PL/SQL procedure:

    To answer your last question, Yes, you can use the P39_BLOCK in your PL/SQL, how you demonstrated above, but you must submit in the 'page' referred to submit box, otherwise it uses the last value that has been submitted.

    What I'm not clear, is do you need really value before executing the PL/SQL or you just want your PL/SQL? If you just try to pass it in PL/SQL and then just use the dynamic action of PL/SQL and pass it by using the "elements of the page to present. '' Remember, if you need a new value to publish on the page, you will need to put these fields in the box "items to display the page.

    If you only need the value of front page because you will use in javascript, somewhere, then reference it with jQuery or js and then use AJAX to continue your treatment.

    A third way, you could do, is to create a dynamic action of PL/SQL that runs before the javascript code that is null; in the body of PL/SQL, but put the P39_BLOCK in the "elements of page to submit" box. Who will just send the page element, and then take action dynamic javascript. But, I don't know why you would do that since you can't have the value submitted for javascript to use.

    Hope that all makes sense.

  • Can I export a single page in jpg format from the module of LR book?

    I only see the option to export the entire book as individual jpg.  If I make a single change to a single page, to get the revised page as jpg seems to me export the entire book again. Is there an easier way to get the update page jpg file?

    Alan

    Hi Alan,

    No, you cannot export a single page of the book Module.

    However, you can try the following suggestion if you have a book with a smaller number of pages:

    Duplicate the book in the Collections Panel (right click > book duplicate) > then choose the book duplicate > edit the required page and delete all the pages except that you want to export > choose export to JPEG.

    Kind regards
