Description resource path... Warning Msg...

Hello

I use a LoadManager from way back, and I'm trying to use it with a new project. The original code is:

Application.application.systemManager.stage.addEventListener(Event.ENTER_FRAME, enterFrame);

And it comes up with a "warning!" See below!

Description Resource Path Location Type 3608:

'application' has been deprecated since 4.0.
Please use 'FlexGlobals.topLevelApplication'.LoadManager.as

line 16     Flex Problem

And this msg "Deprecated since 4.0 Please use FlexGlobals.topLevelApplication"?

Thanks in advance best regards aktell2007

Since flex 4, use FlexGlobals.topLevelApplication instead of Application.application

IE: FlexGlobals.topLevelApplication.systemManager.stage.addEventListener (Event.ENTER_FRAME, enterFrame);

also, for your example, you don't need the systemManager or stage reference so you can simplify to: FlexGlobals.topLevelApplication.addEventListener (Event.ENTER_FRAME, enterFrame);

    And how can I solve it?

    Everyone answered cordially

    Thanks for your response!

    No accents in my properties, but it wasn't for me a problem of jre. I used the jre7.0

    I also note that blackberry offers default download of the jrs 6.27

  • Type on a path error msg

    I am typing on a trajectory that began as a letter and I've now converted to outlines, and yet it tells me "you must click a non compound path, non-masquage to create text on a path" when I try.

    Why is this happening? What can I do to solve the problem? Thank you.

    Hello

    Try this:

    Make a copy of your letter-shape to the Clipboard (you need later)

    Ungroup (shift-cmd-G/shift-ctrl-G)

    Right click and select "release a compound path.

    Add your text in the path (which should disappear)

    Paste in front the original letter form

  • OPA deletes generated resources without warning. Seems like a bug to me.

    I was astonished on .rmod files that apparently disappear at random times.

    Whenever something is built, all previously created files are deleted. I think that's wrong.

    two kinds of things can be built: be a .zip file containing the stuff to deploy the modules OR a file .rmod containing the module library.

    When the .zip file is generated, a precedent built .rmod file disappears. In addition, when the .rmod file is generated, a previous built .zip file disappears.

    When the .rmod file disappears, this causes any other project, what matters this module, has a broken link.

    I tried to find the cause of these broken links, not knowing the behavior I described in the previous paragraph. I thought that subversion was to blame, because I saw a known issue with the combination of modules and subversion.

    Is it necessary to throw the file .rmod, when the .zip file is generated? If not, please fix this in a future version of OPA: do not remove the .rmod file when the .zip file is generated.

    Thank you

    Han Joosten

    Han,.

    I understand your frustration. The reason that delete us anything in the build file is to remove anything that might be technically obsolete. If you rebuild a project all the files in the folder build left a previous version may not reflect the current state of the project, and this could lead to confusion.

    The best advice I can offer is that you are not referencing the file .rmod from the directory to build the project. In other words, you must build the module and copy it to a location you control and then replace it as you wish. In this way, the project uses the file .rmod was not this mysterious deleted file.

    See you soon

    Frank

  • call a javascript extension

    Hey

    I am very new to Blackberry/Java development if any help would be great.

    Using the tutorial on how to create blackberry javascript extensions that I wrote a very simple extension that will download a file from you.  Everything seems fine, I can export the JAR but I get the following in eclipse warning:

    Description Resource Path Location Type
    Signing Required: RIM Blackberry Apps API (0x52424200): Import uses protected Class net.rim.device.api.web.WidgetConfig ByteReaderExtension.java /TribalWorksByteReader-OS6/src/tribal line 5 BlackBerry Protected API

    When I try to use the extension to javascript in my application webworks, nothing happens.  Simply, it stops and does not receive from past the line, where I make my call.

    alert("before extension call");
    tribal.download.downloadFile(remoteFile, localFile);
    alert("after extension call");

    In the emulator, I get the first alert, but not the second.  I'm also a few calls from Dialog.alert in my extensions javascript that ever fire.  Kind of I'm stuck at this stage since there is no errors so I don't really know where to start.

    Someone knows something similar or know how I can fix this?

    Packer widget 1.5

    OS: 6.0.0.337

    Device: 9800

    I am also to build my javascript extension nuer Blackberry JRE 6.0.0

    Edit: I'm also compiling the application with bbwp.exe

    Thank you!

    Chris

    I thought about it.

    I used a file struggle to update the index.zip and compile it with bbwp.exe.

    I forgot to add the ext for the zip folder.

  • Flash Builder random error associated with CFCS 'qnx-screen '.

    Hey all,.

    It's been about 8 months since I finally published my app PlayBook... It's been long since, so I'm a bit rusty...

    I'm seeing my source code, compile it with the new SDK.

    I downloaded the Simulator 2.0, updated the OS on my tablet to 2.0 and installed the new Tablet OS Beta 2.0 SDK.

    I am trying to get my application up and running, and I get this error:

    "Description Resource Path location Type
    "Could not open" / Applications/Adobe Flash Builder 4.5/sdks/RIM/blackberry-tablet-sdk-2.0.0/frameworks/libs/qnx-screen ' PaperRobo unknown Flex problem.

    I use a Mac and Flash Builder 4.5 running

    I use the Flex SDK 4.5.1... and it seems that all the appropriate Blackberry tablet SDK swcs are connected properly... See screenshot:

    Any ideas what's not here?

    It also looks that QNXApplicationEvent no longer exists?

    I also tried to create a new project from scratch and get the same error of Flash Builder

    I don't think that there is nothing wrong with your stature. Try to create a new project, as shown in jtegen and see if it works. If this does not work, you can still manually add the .swc files.

    It seems to be looking for them in the wrong place.

    "/ Applications/Adobe Flash Builder 4.5/sdks/RIM/blackberry-tablet-sdk-2.0.0/framework"

    s/libs/qnx-screen'

    Should be "/ Applications/Adobe Flash Builder 4.5/sdks/RIM/blackberry-tablet-sdk-2.0.0/framework"

    s/libs/qnx/qnx-screen

    If you do this be sure to do the qnx - air.swc marked as external.

  • qmlRegisterType problem

    I cannot register a QML type. The first time I did it with the DataModel PrayerModel type I managed to do the work. However, I get errors with the PrayerBBMManager now. It is based on the example of Battambang, but I simplified the entire BBM feature heavily.

    Thanks to all that refers to BBM files qml commenting regularly and working backward in this file I can identify the problem happening to qmlRegisterType statement.

            virtual ~PrayerBBMManager();

    And the prayerbbmmanager.cpp:

    namespace prayerbbm

        }

        PrayerBBMManager::~PrayerBBMManager()

    Yes it could be

    My money is also on the sources of PrayerBBMManager is not THAT MOC would be because they were transferred in a directory that is not referenced in the .pro project file

  • How to implement the class Singleton cascading C++

    I tried to use the standard C++ to implement the Singleton class. It can be compiled well, there's always a mistake to link "Description Resource path location Type cannot declare the member function ' static globalsettings * globalsettings::instance() ' static linking [-fpermissive] problem of C/C++.

    Globalsettings*  Globalsettings::s_instance = 0;

    }
    void Globalsettings::set_value(int v)

    CPP revised (it works)

    /*

    #include "globalsettings.h"

    Globalsettings*  Globalsettings::s_instance = 0;

        s_instance = 0;
    }

    Globalsettings& Globalsettings::instance() {
        if (!s_instance)
          s_instance = new Globalsettings();
        return *s_instance;
    }

    int Globalsettings::get_value()

    }
    void Globalsettings::set_value(int v)
    {
        m_value = v;
    }

    UPD:

    1)

    static globalsettings *s_instance;

    This should be in the private section.

    2)

    static globalsettings *instance();

    This should be public, so the user can call.

    3)

    Delete 'static' keyword to the .cpp file.

    Even easier approach with late initialization:

    all in 1):

    static MyClass *sharedInstance();

    (2) in the .cpp:

    MyClass *MyClass::sharedInstance()
    {
      static MyClass instance;
      return &instance;
    }

    Best regards

    The sample will deploy and run with these warnings.

    (I made a new download and build.)  I don't see the warnings, but I can deploy and run the application)

  • To help you find number "Type unescaped backslashes are deprecated."

    I tried searching the forums but haven't seen anything useful about this error.  Not sure what I changed now responsible for this error but when I compile I get the following errors:

    Description                                Resource    Path    Location    Type
    Unescaped backslashes are deprecated. WeatherPilot line 77 C/C++ Problem
    make[2]: *** [o-g/WeatherPilot] Error 1    WeatherPilot                    C/C++ Problem
    make[1]: *** [debug] Error 2               WeatherPilot                    C/C++ Problem
    make: *** [Simulator-Debug] Error 2        WeatherPilot                    C/C++ Problem

    The fact that it gives me a line number, but no file name don't makes me think it is coming from an auto-generated file.  That and the single icon with a red x in the Project Explorer is associated by Resources JavaScript WeatherPilotsubgroup, which is my name for projects.

    Hello

    I recommend that you check a results of compilation for a more detailed description of the error (it should be on the Console tab). If this isn't there, try cleaning and reconstruction of the project.

    Tab has analysed errors and IDE is not always extract properly.

  • Hickups update to the Beta3SDK... Build references 0.9.1 file still way not 0.9.2

    Hey all,.

    I meet an obstacle to the installation of the new SDK...

    What I was doing...

    My setup is Flash Builder Burrito on Mac...

    (1) I went in the sdk files and deleted the file blackberry-tablets-sdk - 0.9.1.

    (2) then ran BlackBerryTabletSDK-Air-Installer - 0.9.2.201101111618, which installed the new sdk for 0.9.2 folder.

    (3) then I deleted the old VM simulator and installed the new simlulator via VMware

    (4) set up my password for the Simulator and settled in dev mode...

    (5) then tried to run the project.

    Got this err:

    "The SDK for the selected project does not contain the BlackBerry Tablet OS SDK."

    (6) then I when to the Properties/Build Path and I noticed that 3 blackberry sdk swcs where pathed to the 0.9.1 old file...

    (7) I deleted the oldpaths and added the path to the new folder sdk as follows:

    (8) then I hit ok but the old paths to 0.9.1 return in the window to build paths with the new paths with this err:

    "" Description Resource Path location Type
    "Can't open ' / Applications/Adobe Flash Builder 4 Burrito/Adobe Flash Builder Burrito/sdks/blackberry-tablet-sdk-0.9.1/frameworks/libs/air/qnx-air.swc'"

    I tried to cleanup and the project too. What I mess up in the upgrade process?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hey,.

    everything is on the fritz hah. but we are here to pull each other through (well at least try)

    I think I ran into the same problem. try to do the following and see what the results are:

    Go to Preferences > Flash Builder > target platforms > BlackBerry Tablet OS

    After that, you should have a menu with text fields. Click on browser and choose the folder with your new SDK and click OK. After doing so that all projects have you rferencing target BlackBerry platform will be updated and you should be good to go. Hope that helps. Good luck!
