• Hide Dashboard icon edit on the top right of the dashboard page

  Experts,

  Is it possible to hide dashboard icon change completely from the dashboard page.  We want to disable all controls as 'export to excel', claire my customization ', 'Add to briefing book' etc a bit of links on a page of particular dashboard hide dashboard icon change itself.  Any input is apprecieated.

  So, if it's for a dashboard and you really want to do it... it's easy.

  Don't forget that OBIEE is a Web application, this means that the front-end server is just a web page and the best way to define how something is visible (or how to hide) is CSS.

  Often, people think that JavaScript is the solution when ultimately, you do not want to disable the links etc, you want to just hide (if users do not see where to click to get the menu they will never be able to use the menu).

  So, using the developer of your browser toolbar if you inspect the code of the page and you discover that Oracle has been quite nice to assign an ID to the element where you can click and the menu, so all you need is a few lines of CSS:

• Issue of rapid spread across multiple dashboard pages in a dashboard

  I have a problem of rapid spread in a dashboard, i.e. guests dashboard page of different using the same column of presentation layer then the guests take the filter value filters on the dashboard of each other. Even if I try to change the scope of each guest to dash for a dashboard page that value only spread to the next page of dashboard.

  I can't redevelop the whole dashboard, it will take a lot of effort, I implemented a solution for now, but I'm looking for some script code java I could invoke using the OnPageLoad event to clear and reset that all the page invites you to default values.

  Can you guys let me know if you have any java script like this.

  I found the question, the reports have been migrated to OBIEE 10 g long back. I have all redesigned reports and dashboard page only the value of the scope and reports work properly. Thanks for all your support guys.

• Separate guests for each report to a dashboard page

  Can you have different guests on the same page of dashboard for different reports on the same columns. For example, my dashboard page has 2 reports and I need

  Invites different on each report. Each report is based on 2 diff, SA1 and SA2 themes.

  I build separate guests on generic columns like name and period of the invoice to the customer which are present in the two areas.

  Both areas contain few shirts of presentation with the same name, i.e. the customer, contract, invoice, etc. If I take columns with the same names,

  for example, 'customer name' or 'contract ID' of these records, I observed that the guests are applied to the two reports.

  It remains the same even if I create separate presentation variables in reports. OBIEE allows this feature to have

  different guests on columns with same name.

  This can be achieved using the Variable guests most frequently used guests from the column. There I created a variable and used presentation even in the filters in the analysis.

  Hi Ravi,

  There is also another book autour to export the complete dashboard to PDF page. In the dashboard page goto Page Option--> Print--> printable PDF. This option will export all of the report as well as the guest of dashboard to PDF.

  I have dashboard page that starts with 2 multiple spaces ("dashboard page"), I am trying to access this page using the url link, I am getting error in the invalid path. I tried this links below both give me the invalid path.

• Variable session and only for a dashboard page

  I have a mission to do.
  
  My client wants to, in a specific dashboard page, see the current year in the guest of the year.
  
  So... in this page, I have a prompt of the year (the user can choose different years, 2009; 2010...)
  
  My client wants the guest of the year has been chosen by the current date, in our case, our default Guest, in 2011.
  
  My database is SQL Server and oracle directors I've created an inizialitation with this code block: SELECT (YEAR (get_date ()) <-Returns current year.) Then I created a dynamic variable and I put a default initialization with 2009.
  
  When I go on my dashboard page... I have two problems:
  
  (1) I don't see 2009 in all the pages of the dashboard. (I see only in a specific page)
  (2) I see 2009 instead of 2011 (current year)
  
  If I put a default initialization with 2011 I see 2011 in guests... but next year I'm having the same problem... I still see 2011...

  Yes, change the scope of guest to just the Page and NOT the dashboard AND create 2 separate guests for pages. I mean a curr year and one for a specific year

  I have a page of dashboard with 6-speed and I need to download the whole dashboard page. I know that for the links to report for individual reports, but I want to know if there is a way to download the dashboard page all at once (in one excel sheet)?
  
  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  I don't know what you consider when you say you want to download a page of whole dashboard in Excel, but considers that a dashboard of many elements outside just the '6' reports you mentioned. Also, are the reports from the fair tables or are there graphics and conditional formatting (for example, green, red, yellow, balls, etc..)? Each of these features would make the download ugly no matter how you do it, but if you insist, here are some options:

  Option 1

  1) click on the print dashboard icon and select HTML.

  (2) save in .mht format.

  (3) open Excel and navigate to the file.

  (4) select the file.

  Option 2

  (1) click anywhere in the dashboard, and then click CTRL-A and CTRL-C then

  (2) open Excel and paste.

  These are two ways you can have the whole dashboard in Excel.

  If you use OBIEE 11 g then click on the 'Catalogue' link in the header of the world.

  From there, navigate to the dashboard folder you want to copy from and then click this folder. The right pane displays the dashboard pages.

  Click more > copy

  Then go to the folder of dashboard you want to have this new pasted page. Navigate through the folder structure, click on the folder in question and in the icons of point under the table of records (to the left of the location label that shows the path of the folder) click the "Paste".

  Place the x, y in a section and z report in the other section. Now apply security at the level of the article accordingly.

  I have a requirement where in... I have a main report, the report of Sub - 1, sub - 2
  
  I have a Master Page in pension DAHS with guests and a main report.
  
  When I click on a column of the report (I set sail in the property of the column to another report). He must think I'm a part of detail where it has two sections, first section should have a report (sub - 1) and the second section must be lower than the first article and has to do more. (sub - 2 ratio)
  
  I activated navigate feature in a column of the report main page in dashboard...
  
  But I could place only a single report in the detail section.
  I do not know how to place the second report under the first report in the detail section. I need all the guests/presentation variables must be passed on to my all subreports.

  HI user

  Create a page with same guests (as in the homepage) and subreports and hide the page. In the column homepage main report gives the navigation to this dashboard page. On this page give columns requested and scope of the prompt in the dashboard. Hope it resolves your problem

  I come from navigation in a dashboard someone has built and when I was checking the safety devices on the same to the "dashboard of the Pages. We have 7 pages and each has there own 'choice security '. Accidentally, I clicked on the 'Activate' link and security has changed.   You can make the selection of security on a dashboard page.
  Now you must go to the Catalog Manager /shared//_portal/.
  Now, go into xml on this page. Now you can find this identifier.

  I have a dashboard page, what I want to change a little bit and save it as a different page of dashboard.
  
  For Ex: Page dashboard "Overview". I want version 2, one of the managers with only the summary report, second page dashboard "Overview - analyst" for analysts, which shows the report summary and details.
  
  Is there a way I can generate a dashboard page 'Preview' and then 'copy' / ' save under "," Overview - analyst?

  GoTo Catalog manager (start-> all-> OBI-> Catalog Manager Pgms) in online mode.

  And open shared folder and create a new folder name as General - Presentation analyst within your Presentation file and then copy all the files in the Presentation file and in General - analyst Presentation.

  Now you can format the dashboard as you want.
