  As a new user of the CVI, I created a number of workspaces (?) in the same folder. How can I determine what files are associated with the workspace who? Is there a way to remove all files associated with a workspace including the workspace?

  It doesn't have a way in CVI to delete Workspaces and all their associated files. You can see what files are associated with a workspace by opening the workspace in CVI or a text editor and looking at the files contained in this text file.

  For you help, I created a codebase uncommented in LabVIEW that will pass through all the files in your workspace of cws file and will invite then delete all files in the workspace.

  There are two things to note about this quick program. ((1) it does not remove the current workspace file (which is not a very hard to add addition) and 2) dependies of working space with long paths are split into several lines in the cws file. It DOES NOT combine these lines and will probably result in an error. Concatinating these lines (if you need it) is a task left to you but should be fairly trivial.

  This program was made in LabVIEW but it is no reason for a python script, or even a few well-designed grep orders could not achieve the same functionality.

  For the last 10 days or so I don't know, but I see a different type of shortcuts and the desktop.ini files all over the PC!

  I don't understant that...
  There was some new files in existence to which I do not have access! Some shortcuts came over some of my hidden files are out!

  I mean they are seen hidden at all and as recycler or something!
  I don't know what happened... I find the file desktop.ini anywhere...

  Maybe you have something has changed accidentally or installed any 3rd party applications that could have a bad influence on the settings of Vista (Yes, that is possible) or you get any Virus or malware.

  You may be able to see the hidden files and system, because this option has been activated.
  So, try to activate the hide option in the folder options.

  Or you'll flip the BONE to the beginning!

• How to create a duplicate of a book and all its indd files completely separte associated.

  What is the best way to create a copy of a book about InDesign (.indb), including all associated indd files? I need to keep a copy of the book for printing and another copy to the EPUB export, which will require formatting changes that are not suitable for printing.

  I already copied all applicable indd files in a new folder and then copied the file indb, then "Replace Document selected" to change the applicable path for all indd files in the copied book. However, I fear that all references can still point to the old files of the book. Unfortunately, there is no easy way to say because when I discovered "Divert Options" a reference, it does not show the path of the file to the Document, just the name of the document. I also fear that there could be a few other connections between the old and the files indd or indb duplicate in another way that I'm not aware.

  To clarify, I like two completely different file folders with the same indb and several indd files in to start them with, such as all cross-references in the newly duplicated ebook and indd files are compared to the new ebook and new indd files. Is there an easy way to check the path, not only the file name for the reference document a crossroads?

  I suspect that the problem is the use of. in folder names.

  You have been discharged into a temporary user account. It may be a glitch, or your user account may be damaged. First try a system restore when things worked. If it suits it, fine. If it is not then your account is damaged and the best thing to do is to create a new user account and copy your data from the old to the new. I would also like to do a Chkdsk and then some hardware diagnostics on the hard drive and RAM to make sure that the material is solid.

  CHKDSK - click here to open the computer. Right click on the hard drive you want to check, and then click Properties. Click on the Tools tab and then, under error-checking, click check now. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

  To automatically repair problems with files and folders that the scan detects, select automatically fix file system errors. Otherwise, the disk check will simply report a problem, but not to fix them.

  To perform a full disk check, select search and attempt to recover bad sectors. This scan is trying to find and repair physical errors on the hard drive itself, and it may take much longer to complete.

  To check for errors file and the physical errors, select both automatically fix errors in file system and search for and attempt recovery of bad sectors.

  Click Start.

  Depending on the size of your hard disk, this may take several minutes. For best results, do not use your computer for any other tasks while it checks errors.

  Note: If you select automatically errors in file system of fix for a disc that is used (for example, the partition that contains Windows), you will be prompted, see the disk check for the next time you restart your computer.

  Corrupt user account - if your single administrative user account is damaged (and therefore have what one user account is A Bad Thing), you must log on to the built-in Administrator (disabled by default in Vista) account. From there, you can create a new user account for yourself. In these cases, I prefer not to copy the whole profile to a new way to do not copy the bits corrupt.   6. When you are finished, log in to "Sheldon. All your stuff should be there. When you are sure to have what you need, you can remove the old man-corrupted-account control panel > user accounts.

  General C. recommendations for creating users in Vista:

  You absolutely don't want to have only one user account. As XP and all the other modern operating systems, Vista is an OS multi-user with system built-in accounts such as administrator, by default, all users and guest. These accounts should be left alone because they are part of the structure of the operating system.

  In particular, you do not want one account user with administrative privileges on Vista because the administrator account integrated (normally only used in emergencies) is disabled by default. If you use as an administrator for your daily work, and this account is corrupt, things will be difficult. It is not impossible to activate the built-in administrator to rescue things, but it will take third-party tools and work outside the operating system.

  The user account that is for your daily work must be a Standard user, with the extra administrative user (call it something like 'CompAdmin' or 'Tech' or similar) only it for elevation purposes. After you have created "CompAdmin", connect to it and change your normal user account Standard. Then log on to your regular account.

  If you want to go directly to the desktop and ignore the Welcome screen with the icons of the user accounts, you can do this:

  Uncheck "users must enter a user name and password to use this computer". Select a user account to connect automatically by clicking on the account you want to highlight and press OK.   I am ESXi 4 running and using the free CIV. I'm trying to rename a virtual computer and all associated files, however nothing I doesn't seem to work.

  -J' tried right-clicking on the virtual computer and selecting rename, and it changes its name, but none of the associated files.

  -I can rename most of individual files, but not the vmdk file. I try to do this with vmkfstools.pl, but I get the error 'fault. RestrictedVersion.summary "I think that means it is read only because of the licensing, even if I bought Essentials package. (I use not vCenter again because the virtual machine, I want to install it on is the one in question).

  Can you get it someone please tell me why something that seems like it should be so simple is so hard?

  You can only use the mv (with the virtual machine off) command, but you will need to edit a text file to correct the name of the file.

  The name of the disc is also in the small small vmdk file.
