DeskJet 3050 said wireless radio is off, turn on

Our printer is the printer deskjet 3050 has, and since we went to Maverick we lost access to some of our features (Scan 3).  Now, we've lost our wireless capabilities.  On the network says Wireless Test "on your HP printer wireless radio is currently disabled."  Solution - "for a wireless connection, you must activate the radio on your HP printer wireless.  Refer to the provided with your HP printer installation Guide ".  I looked my Guide series and looked online but I can't find anywhere how to turn on the wireless radio, please help!

If the radio does not turn on, the radio equipment is probably defective. I would call HP 800-474-6836 Support

    Hello world!

I had my HP Deskjet 3050 a - J611 wireless printer set up sometimes too before on two different networks.

But I have moved and deed of sale to set up again...

Initially through the push button method he was always trying to connect to my SSID old so I put every thing to the original settings.

But now I get an error code saying I turn on my radio wireless to the printer.
To the best of my knowledge, I have: configuration > wireless > wireless settings > wireless switch

    Any ideas?

    mruttle,

If you are looking to perform the replacement step to get the new information from the network, then no.

The heart of the problem is that the printer indicates the wireless radio is off and there is no network name for your printer.  The SSID of the printer, when the network is present, must have HP in the name making standout from other networks.

On the printer, go wireless > settings > default network.  Accept the prompt to reset the default settings.

Most of the printers to disable radio wireless as a default setting.  Press the wireless button again.  If she turns in the lower right corner, go ahead and select this option.

Now, go to the computer and search for a wireless network.  Is there a network name that inside HP or reflects your printer model?  If so, connect to the network, open a web browser and go to 192.168.223.1.  From there on, the previous steps should work.

    Let me know what happens.

  • Wireless radio does not turn on

I'm brand new and quite clueless when it comes to portable computers, as I've always been a PC user, but my landlord gave me her laptop in the hopes that I can find the problem with him. Unfortunately, I can't understand anything. My boyfriend has spent hours on the phone with support from Lenovo get new drivers and everything but we still can't Radio wireless power so that we can a wireless connection.

The PC I'm using right now has a router attached to it, and the laptop is sitting at least 2 feet away on the desktop. It SHOULD be able to read a wireless signal, and I see other connected to my network from my neighborhood, so it's certainly a problem with the laptop.

If anyone can help me understand what the problem is, it would be greatly appreciated! I don't know how this man was able to block his Wi - Fi connection so bad, but I'm about to pull my hair! Laughing out loud.

If you hhit fn + f5 and nothing happen. You do not have / or has not properly install HOTKEY driver. If something is launched 'say a black window' that has a tab of wireless radio and it shows the State is disabled. You hit power beside him and he does not change. You have probably not the "HARDWRAE", "lit" wireless switch and the green list. Only the wireless led light above your keyboard green show. It looks like an antenna with waves coming out of it.

  • Satellite P10: Wireless Radio refuses to turn on

I got a wireless Broadcom BCM4306 (mini-PCI) adapter and put it in my laptop. The specifications of the laptop are:

Toshiba Satellite P10, 768 MB of RAM (256 upgrade) & 2.66 GHz P4 (HT disabled).

The wireless adapter works on another laptop, but not on this one as the guard software complain that the radio is turned off. In the Windows wireless network configuration, it is enabled, but the software doesn't seem to see it. The wireless switch is turned on, but the wireless light is not on i assuming that it lights up when a wireless adapter is present and active. By pressing Fn + F8 does nothing more, no logo appears on the screen for this function or makes no noise.

I have no idea what is the problem, but any help would be appreciated.

Hi, I read in the forums that covering the 11 pin and PIN 13 of the mini-pci card can make your card can be used. However, it seems that there is no way, for now, to make the change in hardware to work.
You can do a search in this forum, or if you can go on TechSpot.com forum and do a search for "Toshiba Wifi network" in "storage and networking", you will find the message in question. As for me, I got a Toshiba (g) MiniPCI card in my Tecra 9100. It works, but the hardware switch does not work. (The led is off, regardless of the position of the switch hardware, but the card works and there is absolutely no problem to connect. If you discover something, thanks for posting.
    Good luck!

  • Wireless radio cannot be turned on

    Hi all!

I have a laptop SL500 2746-FMG with Intel wi - fi card. A few weeks ago I noticed that a wi - fi connection gets too often (every 3-5 minutes). I checked the signal strength of my access point, but it was good (-30...-40dB) and another PC on a longer distance worked well.

I tried to reinstall the drivers for the card, but after that procedure, the status of the radio is always disabled if the hardware switch is turned on, the led is green. When I try to power the device using the Fn + F5 window, nothing happens: the status is always off.

I tried to reinstall the drivers several times, even delete driver manually and then put it back: Device Manager indicates that the device is functioning correctly, LED lights up green but status is always off

What could be the reason? Appreciate for any help

I think that Reinstall Access Connections means it should first be completely uninstalled. I don't see any other different actions of the first Council.
Spent some time to recover from an August backup system drive - now everything works fine. It was quite difficult step, but nothing.
I assumed that the cause of the problem was soft (updates from Lenovo are not excluded). So I strongly recommend you to do the regular backups of your system, just in case this kind of problems.
    Thanks, Maliha

  • Wireless Radio control does not turn on

Recently my wireless Radio switch was turned off at startup and when I pressed the Fn with F5 key I received this message

"The hardware wireless radio switch must be in the position to use wireless radios.

Now, it was the main features, I have used in the past to turn on the wireless Radio - I had a few opportunities in the past manually disabled to save juice - and he wouldgive me a window with the option to turn away but now just the message above.

Device Manager indicates I have a processor Intel (R) PRO/Wireless 3945ABG Network Connection #3 and its status is working properly.

Any help would be most welcome

There is a mechanical wifi switch on the lower bevel on the edge toward the Center.  With portable vertical slide switch to the right until the Green appears on the switch to turn on the wifi.  You may need to restart for the Fn 5 button to work.

Here's a url that indicates the location of the wireless radio switch:

  • Can I connect to the Deskjet 3050 wireless and LAN?

I have connected to a new deskjet 3050 by WiFi. My laptop and iPhone worked well. I have an old desk top that has no WiFi. Can I also connect it to the 3050 by LAN? The office is connected to the router by LAN so it mails to my hpeprint but I would like to connect it directly to the 3050.

    Hello

The HP Deskjet 3050 include wireless connectivity options and USB, the printer does not include any LAN interface...

The printer connected to your wireless router, connection from the desktop to the same router via an Ethernet connection is sufficient, the type of conntaction used network is not serious as long as both devices connected to the same router.

Make sure that ethernet cable connected to your router with a desktop computer and run the installation by selecting the wireless connection, the device should be detected on the network...

If you wanted to can use a USB for PC connection, you can do the same. the wireless and USB connection can be used simultanly.

  • Wireless radio turns on and turns off...

Hi new here and I thank very you much for your help.

My wireless radio turns off after five minutes on its own.  I saw on the net a fix by going to Access IBM...

Open connections to access and go in Configure, then global settings.  Uncheck the box "Enable Wireless LAN automatic radio"

Logins will be automatically turn off the wireless connection when idle to save power.     The only problem here is that Access IBM does not.  He gets up and you can not click on anything.  I read that it is because there was a security hole in an old version of Adobe Access IBM used, and they is plugged but never implemented up to date. You can not use this...    Anyone know how to bypass this or another solution to my problem.   I have a T-40, is said by the way.

    Thank you.

"Someone posted in another thread Re: wireless radio turns off after using Solutions to access IBM Options forums.lenovo.com/lnv/view_profile?user.id=22919_2";return this.s_oc? this.s_oc (e): true "target = _blank > that they had the same problem, so I tried again understand the correspondent's suggestion, and that is what I did and it works for the last two hours.

But let me introduce to you the way I found to do it.

Panel of configuration-system - hardware - click device (bar) Manager - go to network adapters - I RIGHTclicked Duoband Wifi - click Properties - click on Advanced.    In the Mode of energy saving and the radio list we / off, I turned the power saving off the coast and turned the Radio on / off.  Everything seems fine.

    Once again:

    In the properties - Advanced:

    Radio on /'Off - we.

    Off - Mode power saving.

Thank you for the help and happy that I can spend it.

    See you soon.

  • wireless radio turns off every 2 minutes

I have a Thinkpad Z60t, running on Windows XP.

I have the wireless switch physical on the side panel on the position we (that is to the right).

At the beginning, I can't connect to any wireless network without problem. However, after about 2 minutes of not actively using the internet, the green 'radio Wireless' on the front panel turns off and I lose my internet connection. Then I do "Fn + F5" (or ThinkVantage button-> manage my connections-> Radios in Wireless Power on / off) to activate on (and get the light to go back to being green). Then I have to reconnect to the wireless network.

I think that this is a common problem. I tried several suggestions that I found on other forums, including ThinkVantage button-> manage my connections-> select location-> Open Access Connections profiles-> Configure-> location of switch-> UNSELECT "enable automatic location change". Actually, this method seems to work for a few hours, but then stopped.

I am sure that my wireless network is stable - my roommate's laptop does not lose the signal every 2 minutes as I do. I think my laptop wireless radio turns off automatically after 2 minutes of no use, and this feature should be turned off somehow.

Help, please. I'm frustrated to have to reconnect manually every 2 minutes.

    -Ed

Open Control Panel, go to the system, the property of equipment/system, then go to Device Manager.

Under the ownership of the wireless card (right click on the wireless card and property select), there are settings for the roaming of aggressiveness, energy saving and power output.

Click on the white button next to settings.
