    Hello

Thank you for using the forum.

To use the Scan software on your printer, you will need to download and install the printer driver.

We recommend that you download the full features and it can be found here:

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-envy-4500-e-all-in-one-printer-series/5304875/model/5304876#Z7_3054ICK0K8UDA0AQC11TA930C7

Once you have installed the software, you can click the icon for the printer on the desktop and it will bring up the HP Printer Wizard and you can use the Scan software.

You will first need to scan more than one page, select "Save as PDF".

Once you've scanned the first page, in order to scan several pages, you will need to click on 'Add page' (as shown)

When you are finished, you can save the document.

  • M725 MFP - how to scan multiple pages in a document?

We have a customer who just installed M725 MFP for which we have set up the folder option analysis - their old machine used to scan to TIFF and want to scan multiple pages into a single file, is there a way to get the new HP device for it? Is it as simple as scanning to PDF rather than TIFF?

    Any suggestion would be appreciated!

HI, yes it is pretty simple.

While scanning please select the file type to PDF and CHOSEN to use for the scan. All pages will be analyzed to 1 single file.

When I scan another document and click on save when I try to put it in the same folder I get a message saying that there is already a file with that name, do you want to replace. If I hit Yes, it get rid of my first scanned doc? When I look at what help it says don't save does not, but how to get around the above problem?

    Thank you

Well, if you use the HP utility scan it will work for you.

You're right, this is where you can be sure to determine whether you want to scan to a single file or multiple locations. However, when you are on the scanning window, there should be the main picture, then on the left there is a smaller thumbnail in a column. At the bottom of this column, there is a button with a piece of paper with a (+) mark. This will allow you to scan multiple pages in a frame.

Let me know if it works for you!

  • Photosmart HP 6520: Can I scan multiple pages to a document then convert to PDF

I have a document which is approximately 25 pages and analyze in a single document.  I tried yesterday and scanned about 9 pages, following the instructions "do you want to scan another document.  After 9 pages it just stopped scanning and returned to the home screen.

Is this possible with the printer/scanner I have.

    Thank you very much

    Angela

I'm not sure to understand, when you see "Do you want to scan another page" and click Yes, allows you to scan a multi-page document, you could keep the choice until the documents is complete. Once you have analyzed all pages successfully, you can choose Save and select the PDF. When you choose PDF, you will have the ability to save all pages in a single file.

Maybe I've misunderstood something, feel free to let me know if this is the case.

  • Network scanning multi-page Officejet Pro 8500 a w/o ADF (Vista and HP Print software)

Without using the ADF on the 8500 has, can I scan multiple pages in a PDF file if the scans are done from the PC? How?

My version of Vista is 6.0.6002 Service Pack 2 Build 6002.

My HP Officejet Pro 8500 has e-all-in-one printer - A910a is the standard model, for example, the premium product of mid-range. It is connected by LAN cable. It scans, prints and can provide the status of ink level.

The 8500 is connected via the network, and on a Vista PC, I use a desktop icon to launch "HP Officejet Pro 8500 A910.exe". The new software is very different from the [Photosmart c6150 dead] [uninstalled] old HP Solution Center, and I looked in the new textbooks at least briefly, so I hope someone can same thing me some time with a basic question/issues scan. My research forum has failed, but if someone has a link to a relevant thread, that would be appreciated.

Without using the ADF on the 8500 has, can I scan multiple pages in a PDF file if the scans are done from the PC? How?

I also tried scanning browser based and there is a drop down for sweeping on both sides, but the drop down menu is not activated and cannot be used.

I only went through the configuration of the network folder, which may be necessary to get the ability I want. On this subject, I wonder if I set up a folder for all users, or just for my login.

    Thanks for any help!

    Success?

Well, I created a folder network and was then able to scan to a PDF file of several page without using the ADF (ADF) documents.  To do this, (1) install the software provided with the Officeject Pro 8500 has, (2) the installation program a network folderand (3) run the scan of the touch screen located on the Officejet Pro 8500 has.

    (1) install the software supplied on CD (or probably downloaded from somewhere near here). You may be able to work with only the web browser interface, but I wasn't before install the software provided on the CD, and I suspect that some software is required on the PC.

Install the downloaded software or the software provided on the CD-ROM titled

    HP OFFICEJET PRO 8500

    A910

    (2) Setup a network folder. The installation of the software created a few new icons on my Vista PC.  Double-click the icon of the desktop titled "HP Officejet Pro 8500 A910". On my Vista PC, it runs,

    "C:\Program HP HP Officejet Pro 8500 Officejet Pro 8500 A910.exe A910\Bin\HP"

An application window should appear. Mine has a title, "HP Officejet Pro 8500 A910 (network).

The application window has a section of Scanner Applications on the left. From there, the scanner to the network folder Wizard. Which can be done by double clicking on the 'scan to network folder Wizard"or by the first double clicking on"Scanner Actions"and on the screen that appears, click on"Scan to network folder Wizard.  Otherwise, you can get this done through the web browser, if you know the URL for your device's built-in web server. Because I use my DHCP router (to allocate IP addresses in my local network), I currently access the 8500 a of http://192.168.1.19/. From there on, I can access the Scan tab, and I can access the ability to "Setting up the network folder" on the left.

Using the scan to network folder Wizard, I clicked on New and used the Browse button to select "C:\Users\Gordon\Documents\My Scans" to set up a folder named "Gandalf Gordon". The next page of the wizard, it will take your network password (or local password if he is counting on the local PC) required to access the PC where the path "C:\". "sailed above is located. When I clicked on finish, the wizard opens a web browser which indicated a certificate error. I chose to continue to the site, which turns out to be the web server integrated in the 8500 has. So now you know a URL where your built-in web server on your network if you were already uncertain. If you do this URL a favorite browser, the favorite should work even if the IP address of the 8500 a is changed in the future.

Display (3) initiated a sweep of the touchscreen located on the Officejet Pro 8500 a. tap the icon "Scan." Tap the 'network '. Select the network folder. Place a page to scan on the glass of the scanner without using the automatic document feeder. Press 'Start Scan '. When the touch screen prompts, "Page another Scan", select 'Yes', place another page on the scanner glass and click, 'Start scan '. When the last page is analyzed, answer 'No' to the prompt "scan another Page.

Note: When loading pages additional manually, you have to work a little faster or unit will then expire and close the file with as many pages that you managed to scan. I did three pages as a test.

If there's a better solution out there, please share!

  • How to scan several pages w/o ADF to PDF in officejet HP6700 1

    Hi all

I used to be able to do this on an old HP officejet, but I cannot do that on the new officejet HP 6700.

I want to scan multiple pages as small receipts and documents which can not go confidently into the automatic document feeder. I want all of them digitized in PDF 1. On an older HP officejet software, I'd:

    1. place a worksheet manually on the scanner glass.

    2. start the scanner app, select Preview

    3. press on scan

    4. Preview dialog box appears and displays the page 1

    5. turn 2 sheet in manually

    6. hit 'add a page' in the preview dialog box, and it adds a page more

    7 repeat the 5 and 6 until I'm done

8 valve finished for all documents in PDF format only 1.

However, I am not able to do this with 6700. Any idea?

    Thank you

    Tom

    Hi Tom,

You should be able to do it with the 6700 as well.

Please try the followign and let me know if this is useful:

    1. Click on the HP Officejet 6700 icon.
    2. Under Actions of scanner, click on scan a Document or Photo.
    3. Select Save as PDF.
    4. In the right pane, make sure that the Scan preview is checked.
    5. Check the resolution is 300 dpi or below, any higher resolution do not support a multiple pages socument.
    6. Click on Advance and go to the file tab verify that Creat a separate file is cleared.
    7. Click OK to confirm the changed settings will be... a place for all future scan.
    8. Click Scan and use the more button to add additional pages.

    Kind regards

  • Re: HP Envy 100 scanning multi-page documents to a file

This optios (documents several pages in a single file) is also available on IOS7 IMac?

It just put a page on the glass, click Scan on your Mac, then when it is done the next page on the end and click Scan.

When you are finished, go to where you have already told him to put the file and you should find the file with all of the pages in it.

BUT, you should be scanning to PDF as the Format type and have next to the checked "combine in a single document" or it won't work.
