DeskJet 930c

Have a 930c running in windows 7

Installed new color cartridge but does not print blue or yellow

No Toolbox is available for Windows 7

How to clean the print head?

The cartridges can be a problem if they are new, but have been on the shelf for a long time.  Have you checked the date on the cartridge as indicated in the paper here?  What are the dates?

If the problem is related to the old cartridges, then execution of cycles of cleaning the box tools (or front panel, even that I have described little) will likley not help.

You can do the cleaning cycles that you have done since the box tool as follows:

  1. Turn on the printer and wait for it to become inactive (a few seconds).
  2. Press and hold the power button.
  3. Holding down the power button press and release the X button twice in quick succession.
  4. Release the power button.

This will be the first level of cleaning.  To perform the second (or third) level cleaning press and release the page button once (or twice) break after pressing the X button, and then release the power button.

  • DeskJet 930c: print project with Windows 8.1

My Toshiba laptop has recently been reimagee and Windows 7 upgrade to 8.1 Windows

I want to print copies of the draft of this computer Word documents with my HP Deskjet 930 C printer.

It's an important option in Windows 7, save a lot of time and ink.

However, in the print controls Windows 8.1, there seems to be no option to print copies of the draft. What can I do?

    Hey @snailsensei,

    Welcome to the HP forums!

I understand that you have some problems finding the project settings for your Deskjet 930c in point 8.1 of Windows. I can help with that.

Firstly, this document will describe How to find and install drivers pre-built point 8.1 of Windows. This done we will check the print from Wordpad settings. To do:

    (1) open Wordpad.

    (2) open your print by clicking on the files and print window.

    (3) in this window, select your Deskjet 930c and click on Preferences.

    (4) in this new window, click on paper/quality.

    (5) according to the quality, select the project, and click Ok.

If you are able to print in draft mode in Wordpad, then we try to print from Word. If the same Word printing options do not appear in Word then Microsoft has modified some settings and you need to contact Microsoft for support.

I hope this helps you with your project settings and I hope you have a wonderful evening!

    1. What are the troubleshooting steps you have already tried?
    2. have you made changes on the computer recently?
3 - is a problem with one game, one particular type of documents or all documents that you are trying to print?

    Method 1.
Blurred printing can also be caused by loose cables. Make sure all the cables are intact or try to unplug and reconnect the cables. Try the steps listed in the article below and check.

  • List HP DeskJet 930C printer error codes?

Hello, where can I get a list of the error codes printer´s HP DeskJet 930C printed on the page of diagnosis and their significance? As 90020302 etc.

To answer your question regarding the list of error on a diagnostic test codes, I have never seen a list and I'm looking for very long.  To my knowledge, the diagnostic report means more to engineers.  Usually, each digit represents certain aspects of the trial.  If you have problems with the printer or are you just trying to understand the test page printed off the coast?

  • HP DeskJet 930C does not print after replacing cartrdiges

After changing the cartridge cartridge alignment page and black ink, the printer goes through all the motions of printing but puts a completely blank page.  I also changed the color cartridge and aligned with absolutely nothing on the alignment page.  Tried to print a test page with the same results.  Cleaned contacts on cartridges black and color and the cartridge door, nothing is.  Yet once, replaced both black and color with new cartridges at the same time, see printer to print an alignment page, but new book out completely blank with no ink on this subject.

I uninstalled the printer and software, the shutdown and restarted the computer, downloaded the program hp deskjet 930C series v4.3 with drivers and get exactly the same thing.  The ink cartridges are a few years old, it is possible, they do not have a long life expectancy?  All four 4 was HP black and color cartridges of origin that had never been opened up to this that placed in the printer.  After the HP Toolbox, the two cartrdiges are 90%.

This printer has worked fine for years and now I'm very frustrated that it won't work after re [; acomg ink cartridges.  Looking for suggestions on what to try next before you consider replacing the printer.

The cartridges have a lifetime, although typical for the color cartridges expired or faulty cyan or yellow failures, it would be unusual for the three colors to fail.  You can check the dates of the cartridge as shown in this page.

You could check that the problem is the cartridge by removing the cartridges and gently pat dry the printhead on a damp cloth.  Good cartrdiges will give a strong ray of cyan, magenta and yellow for the #78 and two strong bands of black for the #45.  If the cartridges do not give a strong stain (or have no job at all) a fresh replacement cartridge may solve your problem.  You may be able to recover an old cartrdige dipping of the cartridge down to about 1 "of very hot water for about ten minutes.

If the cartridges give a strong stain on the fabric, but nothing on the page, then it is possible there is an electrical problem with the electronic control unit of printer.  It would be uneconomical to repair.

  • Computer Vista will not print to Deskjet 930c on home network

Our three computers (Vista is A, B, and C are XP) are connected to a wired network of private home.  Computer A has a Canon printer that is shared and all 3 computers can print to that very well.  Recently, we re-gasket a printer HP DeskJet 930C to computer B (via USB) and shared.  Computers, B and C can be printed on the HP very well.

But, even if A computer can see the printer, it will not print.  He seems to accept the print command and sometimes a dialog box flashes on and so quickly as it cannot be read, but nothing prints.

I worked through the Microsoft article "File and sharing printers in Windows Vista" at http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb727037.aspx#mainSection and you don't see anything that solves the problem.  I ran the doctor of printing & scanning HP and who wrote the 930C is installed but not connected.  According to the website of HP, Vista has the correct driver.  I have uninstalled and installed the printer from computer A, but it still does not work.

So I called HP Support, and they said that I had done all the right things, and "it must be a registry problem.  This seems unlikely to me, and I don't know where to look in the registry.

    Any ideas or solutions?

    Hello

Windows XP sharing can be done automatically in XP or operating systems, XP does not host the drivers for the newer Vista operating systems and so you will have problems with some models.

To manually add the shared printer, follow these steps:

    1. install the printer locally in following second method: connecting the cable in parallel below:

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c01655752

    2. go into your PC host (computer B), right click my computer and select Properties.

Find the name of computer on this screen.

    3. go in Control Panel > printers and faxes.

Right-click on the printer and select Properties.

Open the tab end hand note the share name

Note: I would say keeping the name of sharing as simple as possible (e.g., 930C)

    4. go to your Vista machine and open Control Panel > printers.

Click with the right button on the 930c configured in step 1 and select Properties.

    Open the Ports tab.

    Click Add a new port.

In this list, select Local Port.

Set the local port in the form of \\Computer B Name\Printer share name (for example \\PC-P\930c).

Confirm the changes and check any change.

If you have still any question, I would say that the printer is connected to the Vista machine, then share it with the XP PC and check for any changes that should run more easily from my experience.

  • HP DeskJet 930C color: print to DJ 930C of HP Pavilion DV4 - 1287CL on a home network wireless.

I'm having a problem with my DeskJet 930 C.  It is a very good printer and worked for many years.  It is connected directly to a desktop PC running Win7 (32 bit).  I recently acquired a HP Pavilion DV4 - 1287CL (64-bit) and it attached to my home network.  I thought that I would be able to print remotely from the new laptop, but I have failed so far.

I downloaded programs HP solves printer installation problems, and this has helped me to find a driver for the Pavilion.  This driver works fine if I connect directly, via a USB cable to the printer.  However, if I try to print over the network, it does not.

I wonder if the problem has to do with the fact that my office use Win7 32 bit, while the laptop is configured with Win7 64 bit.  Is there an incompatibility problem?

For now, I'll be able to print by connecting the laptop directly to the printer, but I'd largely be able to work remotely on the laptop and send data over the network to the printer.  Is this feasible?

Thanks to anyone who can offer help!

    Tom.

Well, it has finally decided to work!  After trying everything I could think of, I went back and remove the printer flag and started from scratch.  I've implemented the homegroup network, allowing the use of the printer on the network.  Then, I pulled up the "Devices and printers" program on the Pavilion and added to the printer.

It showed immediately on the Pavilion as being available on the network, and I chose that the printer is connected.  Nothing to it!

So, I conclude that I did simply something wrong the other day when I tried to connect to the printer.  If at first you don't succeed, try and try again!  Or, in the case of computers, all clear and start over!

    I'll mark it as "resolved".

    Tom.

  • I followed the advice of HP and reinstalled my printer deskjet 930C/932C / 935c. Cannot print

My printer is back online thanks to HP, but the printer will not print, it was printing my e-mails and other things like word.  Some web pages, that it would not print.  Now, it will print nothing.

You can print a test page for the printer itself?

    1. Turn the printer off, and unplug the cable that connects the printer to the computer.
  • DeskJet 930c: avoid the aliignment page after each page

Hello, since I changed the black ink cartridge the printer prints an alignment with full black rectangles header page after each page I need to print. Is there a way to stop this behavior unconditionally

    Hi @guy_c,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support! I read your post and see that the alignment is printing after each page, after changing the cartridge. I will do my best to help you with this problem. If this helps you to find a solution, please click on the button "Accept as Solution" down below in this message. If you want to say thanks for my effort to help, click on the 'Thumbs Up' to give me a Kudos.

This problem occurs for one or two reasons, a problem of power, recharged cartridges or dirty contacts.

I would like to do a hard reset to see if that will solve the problem.
Let the printer and disconnect the printer cable and the wall socket for 60 seconds.
Reconnect the power cable to the output of the printer and the wall, and not a surge protector.
This ensures that the printer is full on and can help this situation.

    Reinstall the cartridges.

I have provided a document for the cleaning of the cartridge and printer contacts, to see if that can help in this situation. Supplies HP inkjet - printing cartridge errors.

    You use genuine HP cartridges?

If the problem persists, please Contact the HP Support for help. Check the model number and the form to receive a file number for faster assistance.

Please let me know the results. Thank you.

  • Print double-sided on DeskJet 935c w / Snow Leopard

I've recently updated to OS X 10.4 to 10.6.8.  Now, my HP DeskJet 935c printer will print on one side.

At first, I could not print at all. I deleted and reinstalled the driver (the last seems to be under 10.5), how I was able to print, but the double-sided printing check box does not appear.  Under available (from 3rd drop on the print window), I can see a 'Double' option, but the selection is grayed out.  I have the duplex unit and have been printing on both sides for years, is not material.  I also tried to change the driver through Print & Fax (System Preferences).  The printer is HP DESKJET 930C; I don't remember if it was the case before.  I tried both the drivers HP DeskJet 930C and 935c Gutenprint v5.2.3 (and another at the outset, I believe).  ...  I don't have the print quality of the selection (draft mode, standard, best) options, I had before.  I don't remember the other options I had, but I have eight (of which some are not really options) and I think I used to have about twelve years.

My printer does not appear in the http://support.apple.com/kb/HT3669#HP.

Does anyone know if there is a solution to this problem?  A new driver under development?

    Hello

Unfortunately, a new driver will become unavailable because the product is not supported with any Mac SO X higher then v10.5.

The same information listed for the Deskjet 930c apply for the 935C as part of the same series:

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c01856359

According to the analysis that follows, there is a known issue with duplexing for some old deskjet models:

    http://sourceforge.NET/projects/Gimp-Print/Forums/Forum/4358/topic/3563875

As written in here, the user reported that he had him using the HPIJS driver.

Hope this information is useful for the problem, you

  • HP 932C PRINTER DOES NOT WORK ON A NETWORK WITH TWO DIFFERENT OPERATING SYSTEMS.

I have a 932C HP printer connected via USB to a desktop Windows XP (Dell E520), which is part of a home network.
I also have a HP Pavilion dv5 notebook, running Windows Vista Home Premium 64 - bit, connected to the same network. This book can find the printer on the network. However, when I try to capture the 932C printer, the following dialog box appears:
"The printer"hp deskjet 930C series"server has not the printer driver installed. If you want to find the right driver, click OK. Otherwise, click Cancel and contact your network administrator or the OEM equipmente for the printer driver. »
When I click OK, another dialog box appears:
«The file ' *.» INF' we (unknown) is needed. Type the path where the file is located, and then click OK. »
However, I can't find any feasible *.inf file in laptop HP hard drive (both partitions).
I tried to download the driver from the HP website, but it says that Windows Vista already has the driver for this printer! Well, now I'm stuck!
I want to emphasize that the printer works fine if I connect it directly to the USB port on the HP laptop. But I want to use the printer via the network, keep it hooked to the Windows XP desktop.
How to solve this problem? Thank you.

There is a post where a user got it works with another printer. I'll link below then you can try the solution here. Let me know what happens.

Share the printer for 64 bit with 32-bit system

  • Vista and printer 930 C

Love my 930C and got a new power cord printer adapter for my new Dell - connection in parallel of the printer and USB to the computer.  Printer prints 1/4 of the paper and then stops.  He develops his heart but nothing happens.  An error message appears when I go into the control panel.  When I turn off the computer completely, the next time I start it, the printer starts to print the document again even though I cancelled the order.  This time, it prints about 1/2 of the document.  Any ideas?  Thank you

The Deskjet 930c printer has a USB port, you'd probably be much better with the USB connection between the computer and the printer using a USB converter / ten sandard parallel.  USB parallel converters have limited success.

    Kind regards
