There is no ethernet 'map' in this machine. It's not like I can switch to a faster speed card. Is it possible to do this?

    @Jeffrin98, welcome to the forum.

I cannot find the specs of the product to the computer.  So, here's what you need to do.  Press Start + R from the view of the office.  This will open a run dialog box.  In the box labeled type msinfo32 opened.  In the page that opens, check the option titled Mode BIOS.  If he says UEFI motherboard is supported by the video card.  If this isn't the case, you will not be able to move forward.

The next step is to measure the space where the card will be installed to ensure that it fits.  Measure from the back i/o port to the front of the case.  This will allow you to see if other ingredients will limit the installation.

The CX500 Corsair power supply (PSU) should work.  However, check how much power requires the video card.  It may be better to buy a PSU with 600W.  High power will be used during peak power needs.  In addition, the card may require additional power connectors.  Also, I recommend a modular power supply.  It allows you to use only the cables that are absolutely necessary, create better air circulation.  It is very important with more powerful graphics cards.  The heat can be much larger.

    Marc, welcome to the forum.

Yes, I think that your motherboard should be compatible with the video card.  The card requires UEFI in the motherboard and your mother should have.  Just be aware that the specifications concerning the State of the map that it requires only a power supply (PSU) with 300W power.  Many members have reported that it is rather 400W.  You can try with the current POWER supply, but if this does not work I suggest one made by Corsair.  I recommend at least 500W.

  • Desktop HP Pavilion 500-223w: upgrading my video card

I have a desktop HP Pavilion 500-223w with integrated graphics card intel. I want to install a 3d ready geforce graphics card in the pci expansion slot. How can I disable the integrated video card? I went to the bios Setup, but has not seen something on the video card.

    Hello:

When you add a video card in this model, the integrated graphics card is automatically disabled as it is on most of today's desktop PCs.

If your PC came with the factory W10, you need to change two other BIOS settings.

See this guide for what settings change... This applies to every PC comes with Windows 8 or newer installed.

    Hello @shamrock838,

I understand that your desktop HP Pavilion 500 - c60 PC does not support the biggest Compact Flash Memory Card and you are curious as to whether or not you can install an USB multicard Reader which accepts the memory card see First of all, you have reason 7 - in1 media card reader did it installed does not supported CF memory card, but it supports the following cards:

    • Digital safe™ (SD)
    • Secure Digital High Capacity (SDHC)
    • SDXC
    • Memory Stick
    • Memory Stick Select
    • Memory Stick PRO
    • Memory Stick MagicGate

I don't see why you can't connect the 4 - in1 USB multicard reader you have. Until the operating system detects and installs, you should be fine.

I hope that I have answered your question to your satisfaction. Thanks for posting on the HP Forums. Have a great day!

  • HP pavilion 500 - a60: erratic internet connection

With the help of hp pavilion 500 - a60. 3 years.  Just go to uverse internet.  Several times per minute for 10 seconds let connect to internet and flickiering of thin lines on the screen.  Att says tech problem is w/workstation.  It was suggested that it is to old for higher speeds of the internet.  Running @16. 75 Kbps.  Also the virus/malware issue.  I found some maleware and it was quarentined.  Do I have to old one computer or is there a problem of processer, virus problem?  Thanks for the help.

    Hi there @Packie33,

That the Forums are with you!  I understand that you are having problems with your internet connection.  I'm happy to give you a helping hand with this.

First of all, in response to the assertion of a fact on your system by being too old for a connection high speed, it is false. Your computer is configured with Windows 8 or 8.1. Computers that were there when Windows 98 came out were capable of high speed internet of one kind or another.

A more valid concern is what is happening on your computer or with the hardware or virus/malware problems that you described.

I suggest that you first cross this document: HP - slow Internet troubleshooting (10, 8 Windows) computers, but for the time being refrain from Step 7. You can try your ISP again later.

Depending on whether your connection is wireless or wired try one of these documents:

HP PC - Troubleshooting wireless network and Internet (Windows 10)

HP PC - troubleshooting wired home networks (Windows 10)

After everything checked and if your connection is still slow, then try contacting your ISP again.

Please let me know if it works for you and if it does not solve your problem, please mark this message as a solution. Bravo would be appreciated as well.

  • Desktop a6530f Pavilion, new hard drive and upgrade to Windows 7

I have a desktop Pavilion a6530f with Vista.  My hard drive has been the production of errors, so I bought a new hard drive.  The original hard drive works pretty well as I should be able to create a recovery with a usb flash drive media.  I want to install the new hard drive (Seagate 1 TB SATA 3), and then install Windows 7 upgrade on the new drive.  Will be the ASUS M2N68 - LA / Narra3-GLBE motherboard supports SATA 3 (SATA 2 pilot courses)?  If Yes, where can I get the drivers?  Is there a Web page on the HP site for upgrade to Windows 7 on a new hard drive?  Or I just follow the guests after boot of the Windows 7 upgrade disc and enter the code of Vista product from the label on the side of the PC?

Here are the specifications of your desktop HP Pavilion a6530f. Based on the specifications, this model shipped from the factory with Windows Vista Home Premium SP1 64-bit installed. This model supports the use of disks SATA 3, however transfer speeds will be limited to the rates for the motherboard SATA 2. No special drivers are required. Seagate 1 TB SATA 3 drive should work fine on this computer, but you may have problems using your HP recovery discs if the new drive is a Format "Advance" AF drive.

It is unlikely that you will be able to create a recovery media on a USB FlashDrive with this computer. In my view, that this model only supports the creation of recovery DVDs.

You have a choice of a couple of paths when it comes to the installation of Windows on your computer with a new hard drive installed.

    (1) use your HP Vista recovery disks to install Vista... This may or may not work depending on the new hard drive installed. Then, upgrade to Windows 7 using the upgrade disc and the Windows 7 product key printed on the certificate of authenticity provided with the Windows 7 upgrade disk. (Note: the key of Vista with Windows 7 will not work)

    (2) If you don't mind losing the "value-added" software HP originally installed on the computer, you can install Windows 7 without using Vista installed first. Install Windows 7 using the upgrade disc and the Windows 7 product key printed on the certificate of authenticity provided with the Windows 7 upgrade disk. (Do not enter the key during the installation of the window) (Note: the key of Vista with Windows 7 will not work)

In both cases just follow the prompts as needed. I suggest to use Windows 7 SP1, because it seems to be more compatible with the new material, including readers of the AF.

Please see HP - upgrade to Windows 7 customer care using basic upgrade or install Windows 7. Please see HP Forum - how to install Windows 7 without the disc for useful information and download for Windows 7.

    Please send Bravo

  • HP Pavilion 500 - 200 t: card memory HP Pavilion 500-200 t and upgrade information

I'm about to take my 10 GB of RAM RAM 16 GB of RAM and 500-200 t has only two slots for memory card. When I replace (2 x 8 GB cards) I have two 5 GB cards flying over. I need to know the exact left specifications more cards? I want to put the card in my Dell XPS 8500 4slot who has already 2 x 4 GB cards in there. And the specifications on Dell cards are cards of DDR3 1600 MHz. Can someone tell me the specs on the HP 500-200 t maps?

Please see the specifications of the product HP Pavilion 500-200 t and configurable Options page for the information you request. Based on the specifications, the factory in your computer memory should be 10 GB (1 x 2 GB, 1 x 8 GB) DDR3 PC3-12800. The speed is DDR3 - 1600 MHz. The size is a guess based on your statement "I'll have two 5 GB cards flying." Memory is available in sizes based on the binary progression... example... 1 GB, 2 GB, 4 GB, 8 GB, 16 GB, etc. There is no such thing as a 5-GB card.

As to put in your Dell... it may or may not work depending on the latency and/or refresh, or if it is dual channel.

  • Can I downgrade to Windows 7 from Windows 8.1 on my desktop computer Pavilion 500-368na

As I'm not impressed by Windows 8.1 on my brand new, aged 1 week, Desktop, I would like to know if it is possible to downgrade to Windows 7. My pc would be used mainly as office at home with absolutely no interest in the games. Advice and instructions would be appreciated, although I have been informed that it is a complicated procedure. Is this something that should be done by a pc engineer?

You are right in your assumption that the guarantee may be cancelled.

Overview of Windows 9 is expected at the end of the month and we are all eager to see more of what she's on about.  Leak screenshots and which are not pure speculation as Microsoft kept a tight lid on this version.  It's perhaps the last full blown, with what they come out.  It could very well become a subscription service similar to what they are currently doing with Office 365 updated.  Other software companies seem to go the same route.

As I said in my post, you can save 8 looks like Win 7.  There is a free ebook of Dell, Windows 8 for Dummies, you can download from this site, if you are interested.

You now have the tools to decide what is best for you, good luck.

  • Pavilion 500-112eo graphics card upgrade

The 500-112 OA have an AMD Radeon HD 8570 + 8670 D Dual Graphics. I have not found it slow until my wife bought a fancy office with Geforce GTX 770.

I didn't know until reading the plug of envy and 770 GTX how much power needs a modern graphics card.

And I immediately saw that it was not an option for the 300w PSU in the Pavilion.

After a little research I found the ti Geforce 750 to have low power consumption if it works with a power supply 300 w?
I will notice no change in speed graphic?

What would you say of the ti 660?

If anyone has recommendations to improve the graphics please share.

    Hello

The NVIDIA 770 is a huge map that requires a lot of power to run it. I was recently helping another Member with a 770 problem using a custom motherboard high-performance with a 750 Watt power supply. This arrangement could be over kill for your PC.

MSI GTX NVIDIA graphics below 750 cards should work in your PC using a 300 Watt power supply.

MSI NVIDIA GTX N750 TI and the MSI GTX N750 TF if Newegg out of stock then try Amazon.

You will still need to do some research on your own.  You can contact HP Partsufer or HP support and see if HP offers upgrade kits.
