  This is wat I already checked:

  -"allow users to connect remotely...". ' is running

  -TCP/IP listening on port 3389

  -Terminal services are started

  -J' tried connecting to Windows 7 and Windows XP, nothing works

  -Ping the ip address of the client PC works fine

  If you have any other ideas, I would be very gratefull!

  You will probably need to open port 3389 on your router so that it maps on the computer that is tuned to the connections of the DRC. It seems that you did all the other steps, but your router can prevent the connection to go anywhere. Here's a detailed guide to configure your router for DRC that can provide some guidance.

• Impossible to update DPS Desktop Tools in CS6

  We pushed CS6 Design and Web Premium at a certain number of workstations in my Office After reconditioning using AAMEE 3.1 when users try to use tools of DPS, they get a window in the Folio Builder Panel that says he has to be updated.  So I went to the Adobe download site, downloaded the Desktop Tools CS6 2.06.3 DPS updated and tried to run on a workstation.  I get the error:

  Office DPS CS6 2.06.3 tools updated

  Update is not applicable.  Error code: U44M2P28

  In/Library/Logs/Adobe/Installers, I found the Setup for DPS tools log, and it had the entry:

  "ERROR: DW052: the base product is not installed, impossible to proceed with the patch operation.

  If something is wrong with the installer, we've built in JEAN and it does not include the tools of DPS or I use the wrong update.

  Can someone point me in the right direction here?

  You did something wrong with your Installer AMEE. The patch is looking for a commodity of InDesign for patch. It does not find, so the patch is abandoned.

• Confused by the lists displayed on the new CC desktop tool

  After finally getting the new Desktop installed and running tool CC, I see lists on the thing that appear

  to be contradictory. A list displays the tools "up to date" but the other list to be installed.

  Maybe some screenshots will help you to show what I mean.

  Photo 1 shows just a partial menu at the title of the item of menu of APPS , but you will notice that it shows my applications

  also updated.

  Photo 2 shows; When you scroll to the bottom for find new applications.

  
  

  Here you see all the same apps display to be "INSTALLED" [ed]. (Note that the two lists are only partial in order to avoid

  both screenshots) but the two lists overlap completely.

  Do we know for sure what it means?  Those showing "update" the old lot and those

  display install is all really new applications (but same name)...?

  I ask because my updates come at a time that demand has been debugger or set at level

  somehow, now it's a slug all same applications that need to be reinstalled?

  

  Now scroll down to find new applications , we see that they are all listed as ready to install.

  

  According to the applications show "up-to-date" screenshot are already installed on the machine.

  Hereby, they have shown under 'Your applications' section and those showed under "New applications" are new applications and still to be installed.

  You can check all these new applications are CC (CC) , not even as it has already installed.

  Creating application cloud is completely different and full version all together. They must be installed separately.

• Re-install PsCC via CC desktop tool?

  I'm on a win7 x 64 PC.

  PsCC resort for more than a year. Also have PsCC2014 both x 32 and x 64 installed.

  Recently, the menu of the PsCC for Extensions has been grayed out off... Panel extensions allowing to work load, but content panel was completely empty. Pref. reset did not help at all.

  Uninstalled and reinstalled AEM CC; but who was not good.  Changed extensions selected in 'Exchange' only; that did not help. Menu extensions always in gray.

  So I used CC Office uninstall PsCC... with the intention of re - install PsCC (x 32 and x 64) in the hope of resolving the problem of extensions... (I need some extensions that are not yet available for use in PsCC2014).

  BUT, to my great astonishment, PsCC is more listed as being available to install. Nothing, nada, simply not there at all.

  PsCC2014 shows that it is updated so I know the Archbishop CC knows that I am a valid subscriber.

  So question is: how to re - install PsCC? Where to get the downloads? or how should I CC Office list PsCC as being able to install?

  I need PsCC x 32 and x 64... I am lost without them.

  I think that the problem is resolved.

  After uninstalling and reinstalling PsCC, the menu extensions is more is grayed and a Panel extension seems to work OK.

  I'll need to install rest of panels/plugins/extensions, set prefs and space work of desired configuration and usage for several days before I'm convinced; but seems to work so far.

  I am writing as Detective Conan.  But good to know if anyone has a similar problem.

  And if you are still looking for PsCC install Desktop CC... go to the Apps / 'Find new applications' / 'previous versions' to fall to the bottom of the list (not really obvious and 'all' only means new apps).

  It was a mandatory update. You can't roll it back.

  I'm as angry as anybody on this version, but you'll have to be patient and explain the situation to your customer.

  (And Norton) McAfee applications are known to not uninstall (or upgraded) themselves. Assuming that the trial preinstalled McAfee free was uninstalled...

  1. download the McAfee Consumer Product Removal, save it to your desktop tool: http://download.mcafee.com/products/licensed/cust_support_patches/MCPR.exe

  2. close all open applications (that is, anything with an icon on the taskbar).

  3. click right on the file saved in #1 above, and then select run as administrator to run the utility. DO TAP not your keyboard until the race ends, then restart.

  4. If Webroot Antivirus with Spysweeper is installed or if you do NOT plan on buying of Webroot Spysweeper, uninstall this application, too, then reboot once more.

  5. open IE8 32 bit (only!) to http://support.microsoft.com/kb/971058 [ignore the section will APPLY to] & run it in DEFAULT and modes difficulty then AGGRESSIVE. [1]

  6. restart & test.

  Transfer of data from Outlook Express and Windows Live Mail:
   
  For Messages:
   
  Copy the * ENTIRE * OE message store folder to a flash drive. (Folders.dbx must be included). Place it on the desktop or another location on the computer using WLMail. Open WLMail and: file | Import | Messages | Microsoft Outlook Express 6, and the point where it was saved.
   
  Location of OE message store:
   
  In OE: Tools | Options | Maintenance | Store folder will reveal the location of your Outlook Express files. Note the location and navigate on it in Explorer Windows or, copy and paste in start | Run.
   
  In Windows XP, Win2K & Win2K3 the OE user files (DBX and WAB) are by default marked as hidden. To view these files in Windows Explorer, you must enable Show hidden files and folders under start | Control Panel | Folder Options icon | Opinion, or in Windows Explorer.   For addresses:

  Restart the computer and start typing the F8 key

  Select Mode safe mode with networking

  Download the following tool and run a scan complete your system

  Next, while still in safe mode with network to download following tool and run a full scan

  Still in safe mode, open the command prompt window

  Start > run

  Type sfc/scannow

  Click OK

  Note: There is a space between sfc and / scannow

  You may be asked for your Windows Recovery CD/DVD is missing or corrupt files are so it is close.

  Restart the computer and let windows load.

  I used to connect my mac via the desktop tool to remotely (2.1) on my mac to my pc windows 7.

  Now, it does not.  Check the services of windows 7 I have ensured that all the remote control * services are enabled, but I still do see the Remote Desktop option in system, under the remote settings properties.

  Any help would be appreciated.

  Hi I installed the last OBIEE on Linux server. How can I use to start administration tool to create a file of the RPD. I went through the documentation but not obvious. What I have to download the full 64-bit windows software and install the software alone or do I have an option?

  

  It's what Christian: in the OBIEE front page 'Home' at the bottom left you have a list of links in the "BI Desktop Tools download" to download a few different clients, one of them is the 'Oracle BI Client Installer", this is the one you need.

  Your linux installation already 'contains' the .exe to install the administration tool on a Windows System.

  11.1.1.9 Admin tool is certified for Windows 7 and 8.1 and it works on a 64-bit of Windows Installer (you must set a parameter on the exe to run Windows 7 or the installer fails with an error: If you Google the error it tell you the parameter set as it looks like it ' has an error happening during the installation of many software on 64-bit Windows 8.1).

  PS: the screenshot is SA406, 11.1.1.7, running, but it must be the same (and maybe some formulations) in 11.1.1.9.
