  Windows contact is not software, so there is no option to download. Windows contact is a contact manager that is implemented in a special folder in Windows Vista. It's in the Start Menu of Windows Vista.

  I recently bought this laptop and had a free upgrade to win 10.

  Now I found the HP Recovery Manager is missing, and I guess that all of the other HP app no longer exists.

  The link in my previous post gives instructions on how to unlock Recovery Manager.

  What you need to do is:

  1. open 'C:\Program Files (x 86) \Hewlett-Packard\Recovery Manager' in the file Explorer.

  2. right click on Rebecca.exe (recovery program) and click "copy."

  3. paste it on your desktop.

  4 unzip this download http://www.fluxbytes.com/software-releases/fileunsigner-v1-0/

  5. drag your copied version of Rebecca.exe on FileUnsigner.exe

  6. right click on Rebecca.exe on the desktop and click "copy."

  7. paste in 'C:\Program Files (x 86) \Hewlett-Packard\Recovery Manager' and say yes to replace the existing file.

  8. search "HP Recovery Manager", click on it and a prompt will come, click 'Yes' and it should open.

   

  You can repeat this for other programs that are blocked. Basically, it removes the obsolete certificate which prevents opening in Windows 10.

• Remote Desktop Windows 7 does not allow me to enter a field

  I have a win xp and a host of windows 7 PC, they are not on any field.

  I have a VPN access in the work.

  When I start remote desktop on the XP PC I find myself with a login screen to the remote computer where I can type in my work to logon, the password and the domain.

  On the (new) windows 7 PC, I don't get anything that will allow me to type in the field.

  I start with the credentials of my home PC and it has a "change user", but that gets me only to one PC House accounts.

  I looked in the options and tried a few things, but no joy. There is no gateway Office remotely. I'm in the VPN and can access things like proves it the XP box.

  I can start vmware and run an XP box on it and that gets me in, but it's so backward...

  What should I change in win7 or remote desktop to get this working?

  You have a problem!  HP mdl 3000mt-4 GB-150 GB hard drive-windows 7-32 bit.  These units have worked without problem for 2 years.  We have over 300 units on the line.  We have now 4 units with the same question.  This started with one and over a period of a week don't appear on other units.  At startup, units go to the window of recovery of windows and loop at startup then the window of recovery again.  We did all of the normal stuff.  1 changed all the addons - Ko / monitor / mouse.  2. change of power.  3 removed hd and replaced by unit of work known.  There are still problems.  4. place hd removed in the work unit and had no problem.  5 cards of memory removed and checked everything.  There are still problems.  6 re-created 3 separate times.  Problem remains.  7. Unit will not boot with the floppy in windows 7.  8. called HP and they sent the new motherboard.  Problem remains.  9. yet called HP and after all, they knew to test because they sent the new motherboard.  10. While you wait for the new Board of Directors, we have removed all partitions.  We were then able to load from the disk of windows 7.  Unit started several times.  Re imaged.  Re partitioned on image object.  Problem remains.  We must keep the image and it worked.  -In order to consider: we changed everything except cases, wiring and cd.  We have reinstalled the operating system.  So because of all our tests and replacement we have eliminated the virus, hardware or installion.  We have 396 of these units who work, but if it is a failure of systemmatic, we're in trouble.  We organize Sophos software on the network.  Thanks for the suggestions.

  I appreciate your time and efforts.  I don't really have.  For an update, we just finished installing the new motherboard.  It worked for about 10 minutes, then the video starts shaking and adding "ghosting".  We have checked all the connections and restarted.  It works ok now, but we'll let it run for a while.  We'll see how it holds up!  We now have a machine that dropped.  I'm really happy that we are under guarantee if we have all these tips will!  This most recent one done 5.   Thanks again!

• Media link browser window manager does not open in Premiere Pro

  Hello, I just installed (own) first pro (Build 10.4.0 (30)) on my pc and have my first troubleshooting.

  If I do a cliip offline and I try to recreate a link towards it, the media link manager browser looks open but doesn't appear on the screen. I have to type escape to return to the main window of first.

  I've tested this with a new project and a clip on the timeliine.

  I have only 1 monitor and the latest graphic drivers. (nvidia gtx 980 Ti)

  Like all the world has seen this before?

  It sounds like something got Smurf with your installation.  Try holding down SHIFT + ALT keys at startup PP.  Hold them down until the PP is completely open.

  I have recently completely reinstalled vista because of some problems with my computer, some were viruses, and some were inherent problems with vista itself.

  In any case, since I reloaded vista, everything works well except that my desktop window manager is not as flash as it used to be, he simpy evokes the old menu switching with icons in a box you had with previous versions of windows.   p.s. The reason I have vista realoaded was due to the old thing error 0x80070005 who wouldn't let me install service pack 2.   You should do the reinstallation of Vista:

  Go to the website of the manufacturer of your computer/laptop > drivers and downloads Section > key in your model number > look for the latest Vista drivers > download/install them.

  Always get a your hardware drivers directly from the manufacturer, not through Windows Update.

• Desktop Windows Manager unable to boot

  For some reason any random got disabled my windows aero and I am unable to turn it on. I think that I put the finger on the problem in the service of windows desktop Manger. In case the viewer I get error "Desktop windows manager could not start" ID 9002 each time I start up my pc or I restart the DWM service. Service DWM said its performance in the services window, but I guess that its fails to start.

  Things I've tried:
  Start and restart the service times DWM and themes
  Switch to the classic theme then back to aero theme
  Run Microsoft fix it tool for windows aero (says no problem is found)
  Run again my performance index (it is a 5.9)
  Start in safe mode, clean my old graphics drivers and reinstall them
  Return to a previous graphics driver
  Remove and reinstall all the components of my PC (I actually had a new case come AFTER this problem started happening)
  Update my motherboard BIOS
  Use windows restore to restore before the occurrence of the problem started (I was super surprised when this has not set). Unfortunately my backup image was deleted when my car pc saved when the problem occurred
