Desktop Windows 7 freezes.

I recently updated my card motherboard and CPU. Went from Intel Core2Duo to AMD FX 6 core and motherboard went from Foxconn to an MSI a not sure about the particular model but both were on the card. I had to do a complete fresh re-install of Windows 7 Home 64 bit just to get the pc to boot. I first noticed the problem whenever I plugged my speakers sound on Board decision-making. I thought that it could be a conflict with my mouse because as soon as I plugged it it it would freeze upwards. I went on the installation disc motherboard and ensured that all drivers have been installed correctly. I then plugged my speakers back in and it worked fine. Now it hangs just periodically when I am downloading and trying to use google chrome

  • Desktop Windows 7 freezes as soon as I log in, then the analysis of disk is automatically cancelled

Last month, my office has been freezing almost whenever I connect, I rebooted my laptop or close and turned on afterwards. The way I know that it is frozen is when my wifi icon is the blue loading circle and when I right click on my slider and it is located in the blue loading circle. Then after I do a restart hard (hold the power button and back - turn on my laptop), after the screen usual "the computer did not turned off properly", I see "scan disk" screen Even if I touch any key so analysis can run and maybe find the problem, the analysis is automatically cancelled. I pass this cycle at least twice before being able to use my computer properly.

Think about it an absolute must - manually update your drivers.

Vista and Windows 7 updated drivers love then here's how update the most important.

This is my generic how updates of appropriate driver:

This utility, it is easy see which versions are loaded: run DriverView - set
SEE drivers to hide Microsoft - update those without drain in their names. (Also
updated the BIOS and drivers from the chipset on the site of the constructor/the system motherboard).

-Free - DriverView utility displays the list of all device drivers currently loaded
on your system. For each driver in the list, additional useful information is
Poster: load address of the driver, description, version, product name,.
company that created the driver and more.
    http://www.NirSoft.NET/utils/DriverView.html

For drivers, visit Maker as replacements and system manufacturer of device which are
the most recent. Control Panel - write - graphics card - device manager
the brand and complete model of your video card - double click - tab of the driver-
Note the version information. Now click on UPdate Driver (this can do nothing
MS is far behind the certification of drivers) - then do a right click - Uninstall - REBOOT
This will refresh the driver stack.

Repeat this for network - card (NIC), Wifi network, sound, mouse, and keyboard
If there are 3rd party with their own software and drivers and the other main device drivers
    you have.

Now, go to the site of the manufacturer of system (Dell, HP, Toshiba as examples) (restore)
and site (Realtek, Intel, Nvidia, ATI, for example) and get the manufacturer and device
their latest versions. (Look for the system to update the BIOS, Chipset and software updates
    Site of the manufacturer here.)

Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AD ADMIN -.
    REBOOT after each installation.

Always check in the Device Manager - drivers tab to be sure the version you are
installation actually appears. This is because that some rollback of drivers before the
later is installed (particularly that audio drivers) so install a driver - reboot.
Make sure that it is installed and repeat if necessary.

Repeat to the manufacturers - BTW to the device makers DO NOT RUN THEIR
SCANNER - check manually by model.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.
    http://pcsupport.about.com/od/driverssupport/HT/driverdlmfgr.htm

Installation and update of drivers under Windows 7 (updated drivers manually using
the above methods is preferable to ensure the latest drivers from the manufacturer of system
    and device manufacturers are located)
    http://www.SevenForums.com/tutorials/43216-installing-updating-drivers-7-a.html

If you update the drivers manually, then it's a good idea to disable driver facilities
in the updates of Windows, which leaves on Windows updates, but it will not be installed
pilots who are generally older and cause problems. If updates provides a new
driver then hide it (right click on it) and then go get new ones manually if

  • Windows 7 freezes and unresponsive

A few days ago did this start happening, but my laptop freezes and nothing works.  I can't open the windows, all my open windows have the title [name of program] is not responding.  CTRL Alt Delete sent it to me to a page saying:

"Task manager has failed to operate, and if you feel this once again, then your operating system can be unresponsive."

    Or something similar to this.

Return to normal, the only way is to press the power button until it turns off and then turn it back on.  It happens all the time now, but I've had this laptop for a few years, and it did not before.  I had to reformat the computer twice recently, due to a virus which plays audio sounds random and commercial without my intervention.  One of these wipes was right this morning, so if you ask my logs, they will be completely empty.  It comes to the computer:

  • Windows XP freezes

Windows XP freezes especially when I'm playing. I get weird color lines on the screen and it continues to repeat last sound... Sometimes, it repairs itself after a wait of 5 to 10 seconds. I don't know what to do. Should I reinstall my Windows?

Your system is too dependent on using the swap file. Adding RAM can help. Your graphics card can also be insufficient for what you are asking to do.

With any program, you should be aware of what the minimum requirements are? In reality, it is quite common to see the minimum requirements that are undervalued. So for your game the minimum RAM is 1 GB. However, I imagine to see satisfactory performance you want much more.

Graphics cards are also an important factor with games, as this type of game depends greatly on the Visual effects for the impact and generate excitement. I don't know enough about the graphic cards and Game Advisor record to highlight that he must investigate these before you load a game on your computer and wait for it to run properly.

  • Why my windows keep freezing?

Why my windows keep freezing? It's funny because it started to happen after I replied to a few things about illuminati on youtube. But after that, it kept saying error post comment. So I disconnected my account and connected to another one of my accounts, and he says the same thing, so I decided to restart my computer. As soon as he started upward, my request of palringo has started up, and he stopped to load my messages. Then the screen froze, I waited 5 minutes, then held the power button and turned it off, then power on. Done that 4 times more, then finally, it got to the point where the 6th time the only thing that was frozen was the taskbar at the bottom with the Start button and the basics of microsoft security date and time which not. in any case, I could use the rest of my computer, to the point that when I opened internet Explorer, it froze. 7th time... I had taken a break before I'm back and tried this time, and it was a weird breakup cause that is also a lot of things that never happened before, but it finally worked. But my volume control panel went 'again' and it is not picking up my card soundblaster, which idk if the driver went for her or what. But I would like to help with this and perhaps a reason why this happens. I didn't download anything since the last time I have shut down my computer, everything works fine every start until this afternoon when it happened with youtube. idk if it was a virus, hacker or what.

  • Desktop Window Manager has stopped working and was closed

One of our machines (HP Pavilion dv7 Notebook PC running Windows Vista x 64) will receive the error "Desktop Window Manager has stopped working and was closed" with lots of close error. He reappears (as well as all windows flasher to non-aero, then back to aero) in a few minutes, spends about 5 times per hour.

I did some research on this and have already taken the following measures without a bit of luck:

1 run the command chkdsk / SFC scan - nothing found via chkdsk, SFC found some issues fixed, and some, it did not set. Them that it solves not all related to Windows Sidebar, which I do not / does not start.

    2. put updated drivers for ATI Radeon 3200HD - this had a lot of new questions. Installing caused newer drivers ATI catalyst to no longer work with errors during installation and popup errors at startup. After trying several solutions workaround to try to get installed it, I ended up coming back to the driver that came with the laptop, that are properly installed and working without error. I am skeptical of update of this stable driver as a solution to the dwm.exe error.

    3. this problem just started yesterday, that occur with not a lot of changes. Other than updates of windows (I think that .NET framework and a few other updates installed), I replaced NOD32 antivirus with Bitdefender antivirus. The system was stable with bitdefender for about 2 weeks, so I'm not convinced that this program is causing the error.

    4. the event viewer shows the following:

    Failing application Dwm.exe, version 6.0.6002.18005, time stamp 0x49e02696, failed module ntdll.dll, version 6.0.6002.18881, time stamp 0x51da3d16, exception code 0 x 80000003, offset 0x00000000000461f0, process id 0 x 124 error, start the application time 0x01cea0365a457adc.

Offset, process id and start on time all vary, but there are a lot of these application errors in the viewer all screaming Dwm.exe like the failing application.

What should be my next course of action?

You do not receive an error but a caveat. NTStatus results (the set of codes execption used by ntdll - the failed module) begin to 0 for no error, 4 for information (you should never see this), 8 for putting guard and C for error.

    It's your specific error.

Problem is, you shouldn't have breakpoints. Breakpoints are set by debuggers and stop the execution of the program to the State of the program can be examined. There should be no breakpoints in a retail system. More breakpoints are inserted into memory during execution of the program in a debugger. They tend not to do in the actual file.

So here are two assumptions, either you have no exit code, IE test code (driver?). Or you have a running program that behaves like a debugger (which is suspect).

Each of the three towers of programs, services, and drivers in increasing amounts. So restrict the possible culprits.

    Clean boot

Click Start - all programs - Accessories - run and type
